I started having small amounts of leakage from my breasts today. Anyone else experiencing this? Am I going to be a leaky faucet until the time I decide to stop breastfeeding this baby?

I'm not leaking at this time, but it's totally a thing that happens. You may leak the whole time or it can balance it once you get your nursing routine established.
@BusinessWife I dealt with that for a good part of the second half of my first pregnancy. It doesn't look pretty, but I slept with wrist/hand braces on which greatly helped tingling in my fingers and arms.
@BusinessWife hm I've never used one without velcro myself but I'll look around. Any reason in particular why you want to avoid it? I think they may make compression sleeves that don't include velcro but I'm not sure how well that works in comparison to a brace.
Well for now, I'm also thinking of having it not get full of doghair :# until our bedroom becomes officially a dog-free zone... I know the braces are for sure more supportive, I guess I was hoping something more like a compression sleeve would be enough to help. :/ plus more comfortable to sleep in. I saw some on amazon, I'm just not sure if anyone's tried them. @nlc8424
Last night, I actually tried using my seabands, positioned much lower, with the pressure points against the top/base of my hand/wrist. I'm not sure, it may have sort of helped. Instead of waking up numb with pins and needles, my hand definitely just got puffy, tho. And maybe my wrist feels slightly better so far, but I'm also just home today, not working. I still feel the sharper pain in the base of my thumb, but it's also a humid day, and I broke it many years ago so... who knows.
@BusinessWife ah got it. Well, if you're on a computer a lot for work, compression sleeves may help when not working, but I've never tried it overnight. I know for me having the braces (dog hair and all lol) I couldn't bend my wrists which definitely helped, and I never had tingling when wearing those just some puffiness. So I guess my only concern is that in your sleep with just a sleeve it won't be enough to correct the actual position? Worth a try though.
I’ve had carpal tunnel off-and-on (really depending on how well I’m taking care of my wrists and ergonomics) and it’s back with a vengeance these past few weeks. Staying hydrated and wearing the wrist brace is the best I can recommend.
i do have a brace without Velcro! I couldn’t find any brand info on it, though. I know I just bought it at CVS or something though. It basically laces up with a cord, and you twist these two pieces to tighten or loosen it.
@adirat I think it was travelingcouple that mentioned they have different options now, like jelly beans or something, for the GD test? Not sure how those would go down, but might be worth it to ask?
@iba34 I'm not sure if you've followed up with your provider on the side pain. But I have a good friend who just got diagnosed with hydronephrosis. In a nut shell it is basically parts of the urinary system that are getting smooshed by baby/uterus/etc that hinders the flow to your bladder. (Sometimes it can get worse and there can be back flow into the kidneys.) Her dr has her doing some specific things like always resting on her left side, which I know hurts. If the pain is still there I would reach out. It is apparently super common in pregnancy, with most women unaware they have a mild case.
And anyone with back pain.. go to a chiropractor or a massage therapist. Most likely they will be able to help. Being in pain that can be fixed is not worth it!
Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a proper wrist brace from Amazon, for a little over ten bucks. That may or may not have also been on my baby registry.... bc Baby Welcome Box!!! :D That will be interesting to see if it stops my hand from falling asleep overnight, and if it helps the pain during the day, too. That would be amazing.
BusinessWife I had carpal tunnel in both wrists last pregnancy. I am hoping I do not get it again, but I still have the braces just in case. I have one without velcro and one with - both from Wal-Mart.
