WTO Thursday 5/17

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    Sorry for P&G yesterday!

    Month/Cycle: 14/14

    CD:

    WAYDTGKU:
    the usual

    R/R:
My temps are all over the place. A whole degree difference between yesterday and today. And I know I didn’t O yet. I just refuse to turn the air on and it was Fing hot in our house last night. Plus MH slept in our bed for the first time since December. I have a friend staying with us so he had no choice. I’ve been loving the separate beds thing because damn did he keep me up all night with his tossing and turning!

    CS/Q:
Did anyone else have a delayed O after an HSG test?

GTKY: Would you rather be wealthy or healthy, and why?
This is a hard question! I would love to say health but I really want to say wealth… some health issues are manageable and with the right amount of money… it depends greatly on the health issue I guess. And like someone else said, having enough money to pay for a personal chef would be amazing! It's always been a dream of mine lol

@meladams10 Oh no the clomidcrazy! That sounds bad  :#. You're done taking them now, right? Hopefully that was it and you'll go back to normal quickly. A couple glasses of wine sounds so nice right now (I don't care that it's only 11am)!

@LJMoon6 a personal chef does sound like a delightful luxury!

@meladams10 enjoy the wine & festivities! And hope you’re clomid stint is brief!

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, pnv, charting, Bd

R/R: nothing like af showing up on your birthday... a couple days early no less... (please excuse my pity-party).

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: Would you rather be wealthy or healthy, and why? I guess healthy, because as amazing as money would be, it comes with plenty of negatives and no guarantees.

@LElkCot Happy birthday!!! Sorry about CD1. What a crappy day for it to show up.... I would treat yourself to a nice big glass of wine tonight (or whatever alcoholic beverage you prefer)! Or just a nice big piece of cake.

@LJMoon6 thanks! CD1 aside it’s been a lovely day, so I shouldn’t complain. And yes, planning to indulge in some bubbly! And seriously debating making myself a cake...  :D

@LJMoon6 I thought I had dodged the side effects but today it doesn't seem like I did. My last pill was yesterday. I hope you get your O soon! Also, it's 5:00p somewhere, right?

@LElkCot Thank you! Sorry AF chose your birthday to visit :(

@meladams10 sounds like you have a fun weekend planned!
    @LElkCot happy birthday!

    Month/Cycle: 12/13

    CD: 2

    WAYDTGKU: Ava, charting/BBT, OPKs, pre-seed, myo-inositol

R/R:  Rant: I really hoped AF would keep away, but she showed up yesterday afternoon and I've had crazy cramps. Rave: the nurse from my doctor finally called and my u/s was fine. One small uterine fibroid that she said isn't affecting fertility.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: Would you rather be wealthy or healthy, and why? (stolen from TWW)
This is tricky because I think most would think that if you were wealthy that you could then afford to be super healthy, but I guess in the scenario that if you chose wealthy you are automatically giving up health, then I would chose healthy.

CD: 21... feel like I’m never moving on to WTO

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, OPKs, pnv, hio

R/R: Rant: Was really hoping I O’d 2 days ago but got a temp drop this morning. Wondering how long before I can ask for Clomid...
Rave: This week is finally almost over!!!

CS/Q: No questions, just bummed I didn’t get the temp spike I was hoping for!

GTKY: Would you rather be wealthy or healthy, and why? (stolen from TWW) Both obviously, but I guess I would have to choose healthy. I dealt with a chronic illness for 2 years in high school/beginning of college and it almost ruined my life. Typically I’m very healthy so I would prefer to stay that way!

@dogmomma271 Try calling your doctor and asking that question. If you have charted a few cycles and you aren't ovulating, it's not unreasonable to want to know wtf is going on. I'd think they could run preconception/fertility tests now instead of waiting until later if it's not happening in a year (under age 35) or 6 months (35+)

@suzycupcake I had bloodwork and a TV U/S done already since my last cycle was so wonky. Only issue with my bloodwork was higher than normal testosterone, which is a sign of PCOS but not sure if I ended up with an official diagnosis for it. My U/S came back normal, but haven't been able to talk to the doctor yet about what that means (I'm assuming no cysts on my ovaries?). I sent her a message through our online portal with a few questions so hoping she gets back to me soon!

@dogmomma271 Did she check dhea? How about fsh and estrogen on cd3? Yea, I'd want to know that too. Ask her what your antral follicle count was on each ovary.

@suzycupcake DHEA, FSH, and estradiol were all normal, all taken on what I guessed was CD3 but I only ended up having a few days of spotting/super light bleeding (and no new blood, sorry if TMI) so I'm not 100% convinced that what I got after 2.5 months was even a real period!

All I got from my ultrasound was the measurements of my ovaries/uterus, and that they have normal echotexture. I will ask about follicle count - thank you!
