Re: Symptoms - week of 5/13

  • Oh man I started puking my guts out today. Horrible. Didn’t puke with DD or the mc... so I’m not sure if this is morning sickness or a separate bug

@sparkymcgeee I have similar pains on my right side, but I’ve has two ultrasounds so far and as far as I’m aware it’s definitely not ectopic. So the pains are a mystery. I do think it’s gas related but also maybe corpus luteum cyst is a possibility!

    6+4
Early bed. Pee several times per night. Mildly sore boobs (mostly at night). So bloated. So constipated. Headache. Mild random nausea and gagging randomly throughout the day.

ETA: RAGE! Oh man is my temper short these days. With H. With students. With my dog. With traffic. Basically anything and everything.

  • 6+2 I think. Waves a nausea come and go. Crazy saliva today that keeps making me gag!
  • Anyone suffering with constipation, check with your doctors first, but magnesium supplements were a game changer for me during my first pregnancy. Kept me regular the whole time (postpartum, too).

  •  I'm either about to be 6 weeks or 7 lol. . either way nausea started a week ago. Actually throwing up started an hour before my dental appointment. So that was fun. And I've been throwing up non-stop since. Seriously. .. I'm considering calling my doctor. I can't keep anything down. Acne. . it's even on my bottom. I mean really?? Sore boobs. But the throwing up is really getting to me. I don't remember the MS starting this early with my son...I remember throwing up a lot with him,  but I was still able to eat.... I'd throw up and then be fine. This time around though,  absolutely everything is coming back up. I don't know if I should take my b6 before bed?? Prenatal at dinner? Idk. I keep throwing my vitamins up.
  • 3w4d here, so it is early for major symptoms
With DD I had nausea from before a positive test until about 27 weeks. This time I have slight nausea and a major headache, and sore boobs. I'll take it. It would be nice to have less nausea and reflux this time!
  • Nothing really other than thirsty and tired. I think I am around 4-5 weeks, will find out soon though. It's making me nervous that I don't feel anything else. With my son and the MC, I felt very pregnant right now. I'm paranoid it's going to happen again.

6 weeks exactly today. I am so tired today I can barely function. And to top it off, every time I yawn I feel like I’m going to vomit. The struggle is real.

  • I'm trying not to freak out about the dot of blood I saw in the toilet. None when I wipe. None in my underwear.

Talk me down ladies. Pgal brain has got me freaking out.

@sparkymcgeee It's totally common to spot. My dr told me today that bleeding and pain is when they worry.  Are you having any pain?

ETA I asked because I was feeling a dull ache on my left side where my tube was removed and she said normally when pregnant you feel lots of pinching and pulling stretching and most people don't think anything of it,  but hyper aware because of what happened to me.
  • @sparkymcgeee throwing it out there that I spotted for 9 days straight and then finally stopped and then spotted again for another day or so. And everything still seems fine. And my husbands best friends wife said she “gushed” blood at least at some point in every pregnancy she’s had. And she has two adorable healthy daughters now.
  • Thanks ladies. I know that it's common in my head but damn it messes with you when you have multiple losses.

  • @sparkymcgeee I’ve had spotting the last couple of days - today was bright red and a little heavier so I finally called my Ob. They brought me in I think more to ease my mind than anything else - all is well! I’m sure your little one is fine too!!

  • @sparkymcgeee I wish I could tell you NOT to freak out, but I would feel exactly the same way you do. No gushing and no pain is a good sign. When I start to worry, I do two things: pray or lay down in a quiet place, put my hands on my abdomen and try to belly breath and send warm energy into my stomach  I know it may sound hokey, but I will try anything to get my mind right when I worry about miscarriage.
  • Not hokey @CoastieGirl79 I’ve been praying for hours and trying to send positive vibes to my belly for two weeks.

Me too, on the bloating @olivemama! (5+4) I was like, am I having twins? This will be my fourth child, so I was thinking my muscles were already giving up.

  • @paranoidpreggolo2 Your symptoms sound a lot like my experiences with hyperemesis. It might be a good idea to call your doctor. Hope they can make you more comfortable!

  • At the beginning of this week my nausea kind of went away and I got nervous because I felt so good. Well the last two days have been horrible with all day nausea. No vomiting but I gag randomly throughout the day and just feel gross. Also the fatigue is getting real. I had to just lay on the floor today and let my almost two year old drive his trucks all over me to keep him entertained.

My face is breaking out like puberty. DD1 told me that I have a bug bite on my face. I just nodded in agreement because it feels that huge.

  • I just sent my daughter to daycare at 745 then came back home to nap...and woke up at 10. It felt great and I don't feel bad for sleeping while WFH :D:D Also, it feels like I could sleep all day and not care. So tired.

  • 5 weeks and first waves of nausea today. Felt good to have some “classic” early pregnancy symptoms, but then again nausea sucks.
Also my thighs feel really crampy today and I have no idea why. Is that a pregnancy thing? Maybe?
  • tosh24tosh24 member
@melly-melly Does it radiate down the front of your thighs at all? I've had that a couple of times during this pregnancy.

6+3 and I am so miserable all day every day. Constant nausea, but no vomiting yet. I’m so completely exhausted. Today I broke down sobbing and decided to cancel my son’s first birthday party. He’s 1 today, and the party was supposed to be Saturday, but I just can’t pull myself together enough to clean my house, make food, and entertain guests. He’ll forever remember that his little sibling ruined his first birthday!

@melly-melly I have the thigh aching during AF too. I just figured it was an endometriosis thing.  I've also had it on and off my last couple of pregnancies. I've maybe had it twice this pregnancy? Just feels like an achy/crampy feeling that makes me want to massage my thighs. I'm guessing there must be nerves or something that run alongside the ute that maybe travel down the legs.

  • I'm 6+3.  Exhaustion and constipation are my biggest enemies right now. My wife is convinced that, because I haven't had too much morning sickness, it means we're having a boy.  Thoughts on these weird theories?

My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone)

    IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN
HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear!
    IUI #4: April 15/16, 2018 - BFP!! EDD: Jan 7, 2019

  • @rooonilwaazlib I had really bad pregnancy sickness with my first and I had a boy! I'm all about the speculation though.

  • @rooonilwaazlib Proved true for me that MS = girl last time and it proved true to work both ways for everyone at my school who was pregnant last year (there were a lot of us). BUT I also know a ton of people who it didn’t work for.

6+6 today (hm I think I maybe said 6+5 somewhere else. My brain doesn’t work) and mostly just EXHAUSTED, hot, grumpy, breaking out, and constipated. Queasiness and gagging are few and far in between each day.

  • @rooonilwaazlib with my DS I had all day/night sickness.  I'm having the same thing this time around. It feels like I'm seasick. Same thing last time. At 12 weeks, on the nose, it went away.
  • @galactickates Me too, dude. I don't miss her when she's gone.

@lamega Don't beat yourself up! Just do something special with just you guys, and don't worry about all the big party plans. You have to think about your well-being right now. I'm sure your son would understand when he's older, and he won't remember his first birthday anyway.
  • I didn’t have period for 18 whole months with DD. It was glorious. I was mad when it reappeared at 9 months when I was still nursing her but whatever. I don’t remember with DS but it was probably about the same.

Also, with DD I had virtually no morning sickness. With DS I was on zofran so...

  • @galactickates yesss! I saw pads and tampons in my work bag today and smirked at the thought of not using these for a while!
  • 6+5

Is an inability to keep a secret a symptom? I totally caved and told a coworker today.  I had planned on waiting a bit longer, but we'd spent two hours designing/ planning a class that we're going to be co- teaching... in Spring 2019.  I thought he deserved a heads up that he may be solo teaching the first month or so.

I don't regret telling him, but I definitely had some "oh God, what if something goes wrong" anxiety for a bit afterwards. I don't think I'll be telling any other coworkers for a while lol

  • I agree on the beauty of no period for a while but the granny pads that are necessary after birthing a baby are no joke! It’s a whole 9+ months of periods rolled into a nice couple of weeks post delivery!

  • @rooonilwaazlib I had very little come and go queasiness with no vomiting last time (aka very mild MS) and had a girl. P.s. I heard that having good stores of certain vitamins prior to getting pregnant can lead to mild symptoms.

Vertigo - anyone else have it with this or a previous pregnancy?

I woke up this morning and when I got out of bed I had trouble balancing, like i was drunk. I was also dizzy. After being up and eating a bit, I feel less dizzy and it seems to be easing up.

This is a new one for me, but I read that vertigo can be a common complaint in early pregnancy. Hoping someone else might have some tips for managing it.

Eta - I feel fine otherwise, just nausea and dizziness/vertigo
  • @luckymay2x I have little bouts of vertigo that seem to happen randomly. Mine only last for a few seconds, though. The room will just spin for a second, and it feels like I'm losing my balance. But then it just goes away. I haven't had any experience with dizziness that lasts for an extended period of time, though. It almost sounds like you were experiencing some dizziness from low blood sugar or low blood pressure, maybe because you had just woken up and hadn't eaten anything? If it keeps happening in the mornings when you wake up, that would be my guess. Especially since eating some breakfast seems to have improved your dizziness some.
