  • May I just say that I didn't know my boobs could hurt so dang much? I can't even brush against them without being in so much pain. If this is how they feel at 4 weeks, I don't even want to know what they will feel like in a few more.

    6 weeks.

The first tri fatigue has hit in full force. By 3 pm I am done for the day. This lasted well into 14 weeks or more with DD so I really hope it's not that bad again.

well the constipation has gone from bad to worse. I’m drinking water and eating fiber like a mad woman and getting no relief. I don’t remember this being quite so bad with DS, but maybe it was just overshadowed by the crippling pregnancy sickness that followed.
  • I'm 6w3d today. Slept so hard last night and woke up with a wicked headache. Currently feel bloated and exhausted. Hope you guys have an awesome monday.

Let's add in super emotional and crying over everything as a symptom too.

I cried reading people's Mother's Day posts yesterday.

Oh and the Whirpool commercials talking about late nights and hard days leading up to graduations....cue all the tears this morning.

  • My boobs are tender. I'm sleeping horribly and getting up to pee 2-3 times a night. I'm 5 weeks, 3 days today.

Oh hello morning sickness! Started yesterday, at 6 weeks exactly. Work had already been a struggle because of the crazy fatigue (I’ve been going to bed at 8:30), but these two things together are going to make the next few weeks really rough. Also, pregnancy acne has begun. So I’m basically walking around like a nauseous, pimply zombie. When is that “glow” supposed to kick in?
  • 6 weeks

Nausea has started to kick in. Not to the point where I've felt the need to vomit (knock on wood) but I definitely feel it if I haven't eaten for a while.

Still tired. Boobs a little tender but not overwhelmingly so.

Exhausted, emotional, crampy, sore boobs, and fluttering stomach because I want to tell the world right now but we're waiting.

Oh hey there, nausea. I was wondering when you'd show up...

Negatives: Tired, Morning sickness kicked in last Thursday, food aversion like crazy (mainly meat and seafood), sensitive smell (usually what triggers my morning sickness), peeing all. the. time. and very sore/expanding boobs.

Positives: It's reassuring that I "feel pregnant" which I didn't have until last week. Actually sleeping better this week than I did for the last few (yay!)

MS started this morning while I was at the gym - just nausea, no vomtting. I'm going to have to start eating something before my workouts, I guess. Sipping on ginger ale now. Other than that, some fatigue, sore boobs, and vivid dreams are hanging around.
  • 6+1 all day and night sickness, constipation, fatigue.... so glad to be having symptoms but soo so miserable at the same time.

I know what you mean. The MS sucks, but I'm glad to have it. It's a constant reminder that I'm actually pregnant and is so reassuring.
  • @olivemomma I am so with you on the bloat. Today I'm feeling extremely thankful for flowy summer dresses, because--damn. The bloat is just outrageous.
  • olivemomma in the morning I don't look so crazy, but by evening its like the biggest bloat belly!
  • 5+ 4

Bloating here too, especially feeling it in the evening and terrible gas and pains from that just like with DD. So fun.

No nausea yet but I think that hit around 6/7 weeks with DD.

You know... I've had extreme bloating the last week or so.... didnt really know why as I wasn't eating much at the time.  But, lately only symptoms so far is extreme fatigue, the sore boobs have subsided a bit. No nausea, but I didnt have much with DD (knock on wood). I am a little over 5 weeks, so its still early.
  • Anyone else struggle with anxiety? I had a fear going into this pregnancy about how I would cope, but I feel like each day that goes by is getting worse and worse. I do see a therapist weekly, but am not currently on medication (although it has been brought up) I’m just wondering how many others deal with this as well and what your care plan is during pregnancy? I have two children already but didn’t have this issue with them. Any hope would really help!
  • Sharp stabbing pain on my left side.

pgal brain has me terrified it's because this pregnancy is ectopic. It's not like when I sneeze or get up too fast. This is random throughout the day and always when I'm just sitting. So I'm terrified.

@sparkymcgeee You would probably have other symptoms.  I had an ectopic last Nov and the symptoms I had were:

    shortness of breath
    Sex was really painful
It felt like something was blocking any kind of bathroom movements. I was convinced I had a uti, but that didn't explain the same feeling for bms
Your hcg would be rising slowly.  I was measuring week behind.
I didn't have any kind of cramping
    Spotting

If you're concerned definitely call your advice nurse. That's what they are for.

ETA its good to know the signs no matter what at this early stage because the faster you get it diagnosed the faster you can get treatment. I truly hope no one here has to experience it though.

All day nausea and food just sounds gross. I can’t make it through brushing my teeth in the morning without dry heaving in the sink.

The exhaustion is real. Plus I’m sleeping terribly so it’s just getting worse.

Oh also - fun diarrhea. This pregnancy has not been glamorous.

@sparkymcgeee Could it be gas pain? Hopeful that’s all it is.
  • Thanks @galactickates
My brain went to ectopic because of my age and lower than average progesterone and hcg. So I know it's probably just the pgal brain but I'm going to talk to doc if the pain gets worse. It just doesn't feel like RLP.

  • sparkymcgeee       Ive had some random pains too, and obv my first thought was ectopic because... that's just how we pgal do. But the pain while strong wasn't intense... part of me wonders if its not just pains as things are growing and stretching. @galactickate 's list is great and of course it doesn't hurt to reach out to your doc or nurse if your pain sticks around or becomes more intense!
alexandraseattle  I just want someone to wrap their arms around me and make me not nauseous! lol. A work colleague just came over to discuss what he disliked about lunch (we cater in lunch daily) and I had my hands under my desk clenched into fists and basically held my breath until he left and I could go gag in the ladies....
  • Morning sickness (really ALL DAY sickness) is in full swing. I can hardly keep anything down right now. This is how I was with DS too. And the fatigue is in full effect too. I spent my Mother’s Day in bed. Bleh.

  • The thing is, this is my 6th pregnancy. I know RLP and stretching. This just feels different. I'm hoping I'm just overthinking it. Honestly I can only wait at this point anyway unless it gets worse. Maybe it's constipation. I'm trying to tell myself that.

  • sparkymcgeee        The worst part is not knowing what anything means. every pain or cramp could be totally innocent or the end. Keeping you in my thoughts and hope it all sorts out quickly
  • @sparkymcgeee Fx it's just random twinges and goes away soon!

@melly-melly I use miralax once every other day and doctors said it's safe. that works to keep me regular.
@beachmama14 I'm a therapist and work a lot with anxiety. Talk to your therapist (or google) about mindfulness exercises and grounding. There's also "guided meditation for busy people" that can help you find 5-10 minutes a day of relaxation and meditation. Journaling can also be very helpful.
@sparkymcgeee I get these, too, but mine are definitely RLP. Hopefully that's all yours is, too! Or gas pains?

I have lack of motivation, exhaustion, thirst, peeing all the damn time, and I wake up MOTN from EVERYTHING...i'm thirsty, have to pee, my daughter rolls over in her crib, or the sound of her fan. Ugh. Nipples just got sensitive, but other than that my whole breasts don't hurt at all yet. thankfully no MS yet, but I only had slight queasiness all day if I got too hungry last time, so I'm hoping it's the same this go around.

  • @sweetyjenj I’m going to have to look into that. I take whole husk psyllium fiber every day and getting no relief so I’m definitely down for other options!
  • @melly-melly back in the day I tried psyllium husk for fiber and it make me MORE constipated and gassy. I had to just toss it all and Miralax (I take the generic costco brand now and it's the same for me) is the only thing that works for me. Each body is different, though, so I hope you find something that works for you!

6+1 today. So far my biggest symptom is enlarging breasts and nipple sensitivity. They don’t hurt...yet. Moderate fatigue - I am allowing myself one cup of coffee in the morning but it almost doesn’t feel like it’s working. (Still so worth it.) Insanely vivid and OUT THERE dreams, every night. I haven’t been hit with ms, but I have had several short waves of nausea in the last few days. One was triggered by the smell of coffee creamer which completely disgusted me. The bus ride to work had also left me queasy. I ate a banana yesterday and it tasted so strange! Sort of bland/metallic? I asked dh what he thought about the bananas and said they were normal of course. Lol. Feeling good overall, but wouldn’t mind a bout of ms to reassure me that all is well! I’m sure I’ll kick myself later!
  • I've been up for 2.5 hours... is it naptime yet?

  • mrsmangmrsmang member
6+5 today - definitely some all day nausea, and appt boobs. No real fatigue yet, although now I’m jet lagged so I’m having trouble telling what is caused by pregnancy vs jet lag!  Still eating just about anything - no real aversions or cravings yet.
  • Alright, is anyone having severe middle of the night nausea?? I’ve never had this with either of my previous pregnancies (was actually pretty lucky overall on the nausea front previously so this is a new ballgame for me). It kept me up most of the night and when I managed to fall asleep it woke me back up. I finally threw up which gave me about 10 minutes of relief and then it kicked up again. Any tips? I have two little ones running around so not sleeping at night is just not an option.

@olivemomma this is completely second hand info so I apologize for the lack of details, but my sister’s doctor prescribed her pregnancy-safe sleeping pills for this and she said it helped a lot! Might be worth giving your doctor a call and seeing if they can prescribe something.
  • My coworkers kept commenting about how I seemed tired. Yeah thanks. In a few weeks they’ll know why and maybe feel like cutting me some slack. I hope.
