Baby has officially started moving! I've felt minor movements here and there for the last 3 weeks, but mostly at night when I'm laying down for bed. Today sitting at my desk at work I got this weird feeling almost like being tickled from inside. It's so weird! But super awesome.
I haven't felt anything (I don't think), haven't popped, and no real symptoms. Happy to feel fine, but also a bit of a bummer. Aside from no cycle/PMS, I'm still not sure if I would know I was pregnant.
That is awesome that you can feel baby moving @sammierose464! Congrats!
18w. Had a nice 2-3 week break from sciatica and it's back with a vengeance. Still not feeling movement yet, but maybe I am and I just think it's gas haha. Bump is getting a little more obvious, depends on what I'm wearing, but sometimes it looks more "pregnant" and other times more "did she gain weight?!?"
My fingernails are growing at an alarming rate, and far stronger than ever. It's both annoying and mesmerizing. Ready to move so we can bust out that king-sized bed and I can finally (hopefully) sleep better.
Still not experiencing any movements that don't feel like gas It got me worked up enough that I went in for the Spina Bifida blood test today.
I've definitely noticed the fingernail growth. It's crazy! I have sciatica that comes and goes. It was pretty bad 2 weeks ago when I was driving for 2 hours every day for rehearsals and concerts. All that sitting...
I've been feeling baby flutters since 13 weeks, believe it or not. I got my first trimester screen and after that ultrasound, there was so much fluttering!! Definitely not gas. Baby definitely hates the ultrasound pressure, haha. Ever since then, I just feel flutters more frequently and a little more intensely. Looking forward to my husband being able to feel them, too.
19 weeks I felt the first flutters last sunday and since then its been ON. I feel him squirming multiples times every day and I love it. I have started with some back pain which is annoying AF though.
Movements keep coming more and more often and stronger! This part of pregnancy I just love
I am getting tired of picking up every cold though. Congested again and had a terrible sleep! Headaches are still coming all the time and my back is starting to really hurt.
Yesterday in bed I coughed, and I was in so much pain! Weird and scary, like terrible tightening of the uterus.
@nasalot188 - Not sure if it will help, but figured I'd share just in case - I had headaches a couple weeks back, mostly due to neck tension (took me a bit to realize I even had neck tension and that this was all related to the back pain.) Was a back sleeper and now moved to my side and hadn't switched pillows so I guess my neck was at a weird angle at night. Grabbed a different pillow (doc's advice to try this first) and headaches were gone within the week.
19w 3d and I still have sore boobs. This did not happen with DD. My skin is extra sensitive too. I had my eyebrows waxed and my skin was a mess afterwards. I feel movement on the reg now and sometimes it's so big it startles me. Over all feeling pretty great.
@nasalot188 I can't wait to get massage! so jealous!
I'll be 20 weeks on Thursday and still can't decide if I feel movement or gas. I am a little concerned but also still don't really know what it is either way ... I have my anatomy scan in T - 45 minutes so my first question will be is if I have an anterior placenta. Wish me luck ladies... I am feeling extra special anxious and a hottttt mess right now ......
You guys, I want to cry. I found an umbilical hernia. I didn’t have it yesterday, so I probably got it moving my son from my bed to his last night. Nothing hurt then and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but I can’t think of anything else that would have done it - I mean, I went to sleep after that and while it is a possibility (especially with me) it was likely me moving him. I woke up with it (noticed it was sore when I bumped into the counter in the morning). I’m mad because I have a diastasis from my last pregnancy and should have been doing exercises for it and just kind of stopped caring about fixing it after a while because there was a good chance of it happening again and I figured I’d just fix it after I was done having kids. Had I known it would put me at an increased risk of an umbilical hernia I absolutely would have kept doing them. I looked it up and most things say the only way to fix it is surgery. There are a couple things that say it can be fixed with exercises.... it’s the same exercises I should have been doing all along. I’m just so mad because this was 100% preventable (at least in my case - I am definitely not so big that it would have happened anyway).
16w4d Feeling pretty good. I do get the occasional headache and I get back pain when I sit for too long. I have noticed my nails growing faster and stronger the past week as well! I still get tired a little earlier than normal but nothing compared to the first tri, so I am thankful for that. I think I am starting to feel flutters, especially when I lay in bed on my right side, but since I’m a FTM I’m not really sure.
@linssears4 I hope everything went well for you today!
@purplegoldfish2 Sorry to hear about the umbilical hernia! Is there anything they can do to treat it during pregnancy? I hope you feel better soon!
@purplegoldfish2 I am so sorry to hear about your hernia! I don't know much about it, but based on a quick Google, I hope you aren't in too much pain and that your doc can see you very soon!
@chopchop25 I remember feeling exactly like that my first pregnancy at 17 weeks. For me things started to happen around 21-22 weeks the first time around.
@purplegoldfish2 I’m sorry to hear about that? Are you sure it’s a hernia? I had a weird bump I could feel during my last pregnancy, but it can and went depending on baby position.

I generally feel pretty good. I have some upper back pain I need to call the chiropractor about. Movement is daily now, but it’s so low all the time. Anatomy scan tomorrow!!! I had weird ass dream about it last night, I’ll probably post it in the randoms.
@spartan4life, @chopchop25 Thanks - I’m actually in no pain unless it gets bumped or when I do certain ab exercises (which I started again tonight because I am determined to strengthen what I can to prevent it from getting worse) and even then it doesn’t hurt that much. Of course, by the time I actually looked at it to see why it hurt this morning the Dr.’s office was closed. I feel like it isn’t an emergency (no discoloration and not in pain) so I didn’t want to bother the on call nurses. I’m planning to call them in the morning, but I don’t think there’s much they can do and I’m hoping they tell me it can wait until my next appointment. From what I saw when I looked it up, the only way to fix it is surgery and that isn’t recommended during pregnancy unless it’s bad. Mine is fortunately pretty small, only about half the size of my belly button, maybe 3/4. I’m actually hoping that it stays small and then heals on its own after delivery, which isn’t common, but some sites said it could happen.
I’m just mad because I could have prevented it and because I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. I mean, yeah, he’s 40 lbs, but I’ve been lifting them both throughout the pregnancy - not together anymore because once they got over 35 lbs I could only hold them for a short time, but individually I was fine. Now I’m worried about picking them up at all and making it worse.
16w6d Feeling a decent amount of movement now. Didn’t feel DS at all until after 20 weeks, so this is new. Guessing I must not have an antenior placenta this time around.
Otherwise feeling pretty normal. Now peeing twice a night instead of once which is annoying. Random cravings. Nothing too crazy.
16w and some days. I have good days, and I have bad days. Today is not so great feeling breathless and really tired and a bit of tightness in my lower rib cage. At least the girls are playing well together (so far) and the cat is sitting with me for now
I didn't really mention my symptoms yesterday. The nausea has been coming back lately. I'm taking diclegis at night, but it's not taking all of the nausea away. I've started throwing up (dry heaving) in the AM again. And the exhaustion seems to be back. It's getting harder to be comfortable at night.
wooo hooo... my anatomy scan went really well. They confirmed an anterior placenta so thats likely why I haven't felt the movement yet. I feel so relieved. Baby checked out great. Everything is developing beautifully and even got some great 3D images. Will be posting those later today! Now that I am past the anxiety of all of that maybe I will start to feel and act more pleasant haha! I still feel really impatient and cranky with EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
@sammierose464 Thanks! I'll be thinking of you (and everyone going into their scans soon).... I was sooooo nervous before mine started yesterday. Was sweating like crazy and my heart rate was really increased. Our tech was so helpful and explained a lot of stuff and it turned out to be really fun. But I was a disaster going in. Best wishes to you all for happy, healthy babies.
@linssears4 congrats on the great news! I'm super impatient and just moved my scan up a week to next Friday now Will be 18w5d then (though tracking to 19w exactly that day based on last scan), and they didn't seem to mind.
This little introvert had to do the song and dance at a conference all day, including a 3-hour stint at an information table. I need my bed, Netflix, and no talking until 8am tomorrow.
@sliztee I would be exhausted! I'm traveling for work at the end of the month and will have a full day of meetings and dinner and possibly more meetings the next day. I'm not looking forward to it.
Part of my travels last week for work were to a conference (thankfully as an attendee, not a vendor). However, I got invited to a dinner at 8pm one night. Who even does that when they aren’t pregnant? I declined. I was asleep before the entrees were served, I’m sure.
Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the dinner portion. We are going to meet face to face with one of our vendors, so my chances of getting out of dinner are slim... My one co-work flat out told work she's not going. She will be 30 weeks, so I don't blame her at all. Unfortunately, it's the vendor I'm in charge of at work so my options are limited.
ETA: I just got the invite for said dinner... for 6-9pm. Ugh. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
20w today Crampy at times, a few times felt round ligament pain which was fun while rolling over in bed. Movement every once in a while which as a 2nd time mom makes me nervous but def more at night or after I've eaten. Can't wait for my scan next week.

TTC since 2016
Due: October 12, 2018
Location: Ontario, Canada
Mostly just dealing with weird dreams and the fact that my body just doesn’t wanna sometimes. (Especially when it is hot outside.)
It has also become rather weird to lay on my stomach. I can feel this strange firmness in my belly that didn’t used to be there.

18w1d.
Still exhausted, still nauseous with a weird appetite.
Suddenly today my hips are hurting out of no where.
Also feeling a lot of movement lately, which is so awesome.
Very tired and grumpy. I get up a million times a night to pee and baby daddy then tells me HE IS tired. I just wanna knock him out haha.
Some lower abdomen cramping as well. Feels like the baby is just burrowing in there.
I'm super impatient and just moved my scan up a week to next Friday now
Oh, and some carbs.

I love to order pizza and eat on my bed when I go to conferences out of town. It. Is. The. Best.
