@emmasemmThey have me on bcp starting on cd3 for 2 weeks. Then treatment day 1 is 5 days after my last bcp. (And starting a period will happen some time in those days). then stims is at least 10 days. Im thinking it depends on when I O on my own this cycle (on my own it’s been anywhere from cd21-40 but I’ve never taken Letrozole then not triggered so I’m not sure how it’ll effect it)
@lulu1180 nope! They actually said to use opks and then BD the night of my first + plus the next two nights. I overthink everything though and have been wondering if it’s a good idea. As for coq10, I use Nature Made 200mg 3x a day
@purplg8r I’m actually a little surprised. I remember someone in the past being told to abstain when the IUI was cancelled due to overstimulation. Unfortunately I don’t remember the specifics of that situation so I couldn’t tell you how many follies they had

@50Wife@jrm_14@darkstar42@lulu1180@beachbunnyxo123@nitnat007 thanks for the feedback ladies. I did go pick up some ubiquinol, it was hard to find one that didn't contain soy, (I'm trying to limit my exposure to extra soy) I also changed my prenatal vitamins. We use glass containers for most of our food storage and I don't reheat/eat in/on plastic, but we do freeze a lot and that is all in plastic. I'll have to look into glass freezer storage. The skin care is going to be the biggest thing. I have really sensitive skin. So finding a face wash that wont irritate will be an adventure. I didn't even think about things like my old coffee pot...
@beachbunnyxo123 I use bareMinerals right now, and have for years. mostly because I'm too lazy to look for anything else.
@darkstar42 my library doesn't have the book. It was the first place I checked!
@lulu1180 thanks for the reminder about that thread. And good for you for taking care of yourself this weekend. that is so important.
@Avrilmai I use plastic wrap for freezing food as well (and honestly didn't even think about it until just now) but am just keeping that because it's easier and I also don't want to take a chance of glass breaking in my freezer. Part of my thinking is also that I will never be able to completely eliminated BPA from my environment (the paper some stores use for receipts has it and we all know I'm not giving up shopping). As for skin care, I feel like pacifica may have one for sensitive skin but I don't remember. I hope you find something that works for you.

so I messaged my nurse this morning. I asked 1) Are we sure that no follicles will have become dominant in the past couple of days? I hate to throw away a cylce. 2) If not, is it safe to still try on our own. I was told to use OPKs and then have intercourse when I got a positive, but if there are multiple follicles still, is it a good idea? 3) And if we do try on our own, should I take the progesterone after ovulation like I do during an IUI cycle? She responded that they could have me come in tomorrow morning for an ultrasound to see if anything became dominant and if not, how many follies are still big enough that will prob be released when I O to see if I should be completely benched or not. Be they having me taking estrace tonight.
Well, this cycle is a no go for me. I apparently have an active cyst. So, I have to take birth control and will hopefully attempt IUI #3 next cycle. So I'm on the bench for now.
@purplg8r Hope the U/S went well and they were able to give you a clear answer.

Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, left blocked fallopian tube, and possible sperm morphology issue
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting...so I finally had an HSG last Friday and of course my Dr. was out of town so it was with a different doctor. And it showed the left tube was completely blocked. My doctor was finally back today and a NP called and said she wants a pelvic ultrasound with saline and then an appointment with the Dr. after. But what sucks (besides everything) is I'm pretty sure I'll be out of the country so that means i don't even get to meet with the doctor until July! Also MH had a SA and what he told me is the doctor wants to retest due to the head looking dented. so...that's about it for me.
How are things going?: We've ramped up testing because I finally quit my job (start a new one next week) and I'm ready to fully commit to testing and doing whatever it takes. I couldn't commit with my previous job and stresses and responsibilities so I'm excited. The great news is things are wonderful with MH, he's been so supportive and open to so many discussions and tests. It's so helpful to feel the support.
Any questions?: I believe i need to move to an RE, should i move now or continue working with my current doctor?
GTKY: If your DH (or other form of long term life partner) was an animal, what would he be and why? Sloth due to slowness.
@emmasemm I’m glad you were able to get all your
prescriptions sorted out! Your village pharmacist sounds amazing.
@purplg8r So sorry about the cancelled cycle. What a bummer.
Will you have an appointment or phone call with the RE to talk through what
happened?
@lulu1180 Sorry this weekend will be rough for you. I love
that you’re planning some self-care in advance. *hugs* One week later and the
house is messy again! I’m about to do a quick clean because we have friends
coming over tonight though. I haven’t totally decided what to plant, but I’m
thinking tomato, basil, cucumber, bell peppers, and maybe potatoes, if there
are any that grow well here. I can’t wait! I think that will be my project next
week.
@nitnat007 Summers off is definitely a huge perk of my job!
It’s not totally a break though – lots of research, writing, and class prep. Fx
for good results from your MRI!
@Avrilmai What a bummer about the cyst! I’m so sorry.
Cancelled cycles suck.
@blackhottamales Hi, friend!! I’m sorry you find yourself
here, but it’s good to see you again. Given the test results you’ve received,
switching to an RE is probably a good idea. Even though the clinic I go to isn’t
ideal, I do like my doctor and can pm you her information if you want.
AFM, I went in for baseline monitoring on cd 2 for IUI #4.
AFC of 18 (7 on the right, 11 on the left), but my lining is nearly at 10mm, so
they’re making me do a beta before I start meds. My temps are low and I have
all the usual AF symptoms, so I know I’m not ku, but what a mindf**k. Not at
all happy about this.
@blackhottamales sorry you’re here but welcome back! Personally I would advise going to an RE asap as some of them insist on redoing tests anyhow, and the rest are likely to want the tests current within 3 months, so if you will be out of town and not able to see your OB before July then you should be able to get an RE appointment just as fast. Particularly with the blocked tube, an RE is likely to want to have a more detailed picture to check it’s not a hydrosalpinx (where the tube is swollen and leaks fluid that’s not helpful for embryos implanting). Fx is just a “simple” blockage for you. I make sure DH brings copies of all tests home with him - we can then pass them straight to the RE, but more so because DHs version of what was said is never particularly detailed or accurate

@darkstar42 What an odd curveball. When will do you get beta results & start meds?
@blackhottamales Hiiiiiii, friend! You were missed. Sorry you’re here. I’m glad you’re feeling in a better place to commit to testing, etc. Congratulations on your new job.
AFM, triggered this morning & IUI tomorrow. I went in monitoring yesterday & I has one follicle. It was 19, so they wanted to hope it’s the golden egg since there were no others growing. This cycle has been frustrating to say the least w/ this new RE. I cannot decide if I’m having trouble adjusting to different personalities & procedures or if this office is just a cluster.
@Avrilmai cysts suck! I hope it dissolves really soon for you. About sensitive skin, I have it too. I also have a dry skin type, which I didn't know for many years. My skin was oiling up because it was dry and overreacting to my skin care products. Anyway, I switched to warm water in the shower, witch hazel after, and then moisturizer for sensitive skin with sunscreen. My skin is clear the majority of the time now. Give it a shot!
@darkstar42 Did they test hormone levels? I would think estrogen is too high. Are you sure you are definitely on cd2 of full flow?
Ladies, I've also just started reading ISTWE. She recommends a few brands in her book. One of them being Jarrow. It's the ubiquinol form, 200mg 60 caps, and it's available on Amazon for like $16. It's also pharmaceutical grade.
For any lady that would like to read the book, I am more than happy to give you my Amazon login to read it on the kindle cloud reader online. Send me a PM.
@emmasemm Sorry your husband is going through this. I hope the scans show that it's something really simple to remedy.

Re: IF Testing and Treatment - week of 05/07
@emmasemmThey have me on bcp starting on cd3 for 2 weeks.
As for coq10, I use Nature Made 200mg 3x a day
@nitnat007 thanks! And wow—that’s a long time!

thanks for the feedback ladies.

@emmasemm I’m glad you were able to get all your prescriptions sorted out! Your village pharmacist sounds amazing.
@purplg8r So sorry about the cancelled cycle. What a bummer. Will you have an appointment or phone call with the RE to talk through what happened?
@lulu1180 Sorry this weekend will be rough for you. I love that you’re planning some self-care in advance. *hugs* One week later and the house is messy again! I’m about to do a quick clean because we have friends coming over tonight though. I haven’t totally decided what to plant, but I’m thinking tomato, basil, cucumber, bell peppers, and maybe potatoes, if there are any that grow well here. I can’t wait! I think that will be my project next week.
@nitnat007 Summers off is definitely a huge perk of my job! It’s not totally a break though – lots of research, writing, and class prep. Fx for good results from your MRI!
@Avrilmai What a bummer about the cyst! I’m so sorry. Cancelled cycles suck.
@blackhottamales Hi, friend!! I’m sorry you find yourself here, but it’s good to see you again. Given the test results you’ve received, switching to an RE is probably a good idea. Even though the clinic I go to isn’t ideal, I do like my doctor and can pm you her information if you want.
AFM, I went in for baseline monitoring on cd 2 for IUI #4. AFC of 18 (7 on the right, 11 on the left), but my lining is nearly at 10mm, so they’re making me do a beta before I start meds. My temps are low and I have all the usual AF symptoms, so I know I’m not ku, but what a mindf**k. Not at all happy about this.

@darkstar42 Did they test hormone levels? I would think estrogen is too high. Are you sure you are definitely on cd2 of full flow?
Welcome back @blackhottamales
Ladies, I've also just started reading ISTWE. She recommends a few brands in her book. One of them being Jarrow. It's the ubiquinol form, 200mg 60 caps, and it's available on Amazon for like $16. It's also pharmaceutical grade.
For any lady that would like to read the book, I am more than happy to give you my Amazon login to read it on the kindle cloud reader online. Send me a PM.
@emmasemm Sorry your husband is going through this. I hope the scans show that it's something really simple to remedy.
