Well, I'm sure a lot of y'all saw my news on a different thread, but.... Yesterday I went in for my first US and I was so nervous that everything was ok. The last thing I expected them to say was, oh hey, there are 2 babies and they're doing great! I'm still in shock as this kind of stuff NEVER happens to me. It almost feels like a giant practical joke, lol!
Hi all. Pretty late check-in here. Have been busy with a house project (tiling) and also feeling pretty intense fatigue. Figured I should post here since I have been a little neurotic the last few weeks since the BFP. I had one MC at the end of Feb. this year and then no AF between then and getting pregnant again. We weren’t even exactly trying and thought my hormones and ovulation schedule would be wonky... but here I am.
2. How far along are you? Any milestones coming up? I can’t figure out the exact date of conception (and see above) so my broad range due date is from December 3rd-13th. Haha. My main milestone is 12 weeks
3. How are you feeling (symptom or anxiety wise)? Trying to potty train my toddler... so at least I have something else to be worried about. Sigh. Not as bad MS as last go around but definitely have the sore boobs, bloat, and easy exhaustion. One major annoyance is not really wanting to spill the beans at work... even though I get along well enough with most of my coworkers... and I am trying to somewhat conceal my blah-ness and baby blump.
4. Any appointments this week? TOMORROW. Wheee! I am having DH come hopefully but for some reason that’s now making me feel a little more nervous. Hoping everything looks good and they can give me a real due date!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Just went back to work yesterday after a 9 day stretch off. Oy. I hope the (fingers crossed) second trimester is a lot more manageable. Watching hockey playoffs.
6.GTKY: Do you and your SO have "a song"? Nope. But I did make him play/sing “Name” by the Goo Goo Dolls on guitar. So I will just go with that?!
@texas_t - Since my hcg has risen like crazy, my infertility group and best friend keep joking that our one embryo split and we are having twins. I can't even contemplate it! I am sure it's just one baby but I am anxious about our ultrasound on Thursday to make sure!
Hi, everyone. I am late to the game, but thought I'd join in as the conversations the past few days have been very helpful.
1. Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis / conditions surrounding loss, etc. My name is Sara. I had an early loss June 2014 with my DD born April 2017. I had another loss on Valentine's Day 2018 at 6 weeks. Got my BFP this time on Friday the 13th. No known reasons for my losses
2. How far along are you? Any milestones coming up? I am 5wks 6 days today so feeling the anxiety more than ever. My first US is this Friday so I am trying to hold out until then without calling my doctor every 5 minutes.
3. How are you feeling (symptom or anxiety wise)? My mind is in space half the time and I'm worried about every little thing that I feel. I don't have very many symptoms right now. Some sore boobs, nausea here and there and mood swings. But no fatigue which is scaring me a little. Has anyone here experienced little to no fatigue in the first trimester? All my past pregnancies, I could barely stand.
4. Any appointments this week? Friday morning is my first US!
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here). Just trying to act sane and like nothing's going on. Only my husband and sister know about this pregnancy because it's still so early.
6.GTKY: Do you and your SO have "a song". Lay Me Down by Sam Smith. It was our wedding song.
1. Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis / conditions surrounding loss, etc. I'm so glad this thread exists. It's still hard to deal with my loss from last year. The anniversary of my loss was on April 8th, and I got my bfp on the 10th. Sometimes it still doesn't feel real.
2. How far along are you? Any milestones coming up? I'm 5+3 today. No milestones yet...
3. How are you feeling (symptom or anxiety wise)? Anxiety is through the roof, probably will be this whole pregnancy. My boobs aren't sore, but my nipple are really sensitive. And I am super nauseous, which is something new for me.
4. Any appointments this week? I don't have my first appointment until May 16th! I'll be 8+4, which is exactly where I was for my first appointment last time when there was no heartbeat. That is definitely adding to my anxiety.
5. What's been happening in your life this week? Rants/raves/whatever (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here): This is my last week of baseball at work (I operate the scoreboard), and after that I'll have to start taking better care of my house. It's a disaster area, but DH works up to 15 hours/day sometimes, so we'll just have to live with it until this weekend.
6.GTKY: Do you and your SO have "a song"? The first song I ever danced to with DH was "Baby Blue" way back in the '90s, although he says our song is "Cheaper to Keep Her"
@misfithero Welcome! I‘m surprised they won’t see you sooner after a loss 8+4 makes sense for a low risk first timer. I’m annoyed for you now. *scowls at your doctor*

Thank you @echo-charlietango. We just moved this past summer, so it's a new doctor, but I did explain to them my history. Plus, I'm 37 and will be 38 at time of delivery. I'm annoyed too, but I'm trying real hard to keep the faith.
@misfithero I called and they went ahead and ordered them for me. Once they saw my HCG doubling, they ordered an ultrasound for 6 weeks to be sure. I would call back and ask. If they are not willing to do what they can to ease your stress, you may want to look into other doctors. It will be much easier to switch now than later.
I would bug them for progesterone levels and beta hCGs. If they’re not on board, I would start looking for another practice or provider.

Thanks ladies. After 2 days of all day nausea I woke up this morning feeling fine. Which of course has me freaking out. I'm going to call today and see what they say.

@misfithero - I totally agree with the other ladies.. insist on HCG draws!
