@ndz2018 the name of the patch the nurse prescribed is
Synera. She ordered 30 and the limit is
10, now she needs to do the pre authorization thing with the insurance. So I tried a OTC lidocaine cream from
walgreens and a tegaderm patch to secure it and it worked, I did not feel the
needle at all…but last night we went to my in laws and got home so late that I
did not have the patience to wait 45 mins so we did it and it was not that bad,
just a pinch and voila! Done! So I think I am skipping the patches for now. I
just wish there would be something to help with the sore butt…both cheeks everytime
I get up and start walking.
@tosh24 thanks for the reminder on grocery shopping, I need
to do it before Wed bc I don’t trust my DH.
Congrats on being PUPO!!
@laurengon82 Yes Yes Yes!!! Congrats on your BETA!!
ndz2018 these hormones will definitely get you in your emotions! But its all for a good cause! mama2b1974 I have been using numbing cream as well and I barely feel anything. We also use heat for 5 mins after and then a massage, then heat again until the heating pad cools all the way. So far very little soreness. I basically have to press the injection area to notice it is sore.
mama2b1974 - I think you're up next! And then we start getting all the betas back.
morganelizabeth123 - how are you feeling? Have you POAS?
AFM: I'm glad that the weekend is over. I find the weekends in the TWW the longest part. The week will go by quickly. Not sure about how next weekend will go, though. Monday is my least favourite day for a beta. I wasn't planning on POAS, but I might the night before beta, so I can have a quiet Sunday evening to recover, just in case it doesn't work out.
I'm on a total rollercoaster. One moment, I'm convinced that this one has taken and I want to start celebrating. I saw some photos in the news of Jacinda Ardern, the pregnant NZ prime minister, and I was like: "Wow, she really is a great example of dressing professionally through pregnancy." Then I spent like 2 hours looking at maternity clothes for work, and another hour researching daycares so we can get on the waiting lists like next week.
Another moment, I think about the call coming through with my beta results, and I want to throw up. Like, I don't want to answer the phone, I almost don't want to know about it at all. I want to just stay in this state of not knowing for as long as I can.
Gahhh. I hope the rest of you are holding out in your TWWs a little better than me!
@funkykey Sending happy thoughts for you this week and Monday! I totally know the feeling...shoot I felt that way just during ER cycles. When they called with results every time I wanted to throw up and was shaking when answering the phone. Then on other hand I was online picking out registry items and even maternity clothes as well! I've already started daily buying clothes that have "give" so when pregnant I wouldn't have to buy pregnancy clothes right away. So I feel you girl! Deep breaths!! Try to enjoy being PUPO this week

@mcgeeva of course it was very negative. I just had my transfer on Thursday but DH got excited because she was hatched and the embryologist said ready to implant within probably 24 hours. I’m not testing again until Thursday or Friday.
My hormone levels came back in range so no adjustments to meds! They will call Friday to schedule beta for Sunday or Monday

If you all need an afternoon funny.. just went to have a sono and bloodwork for bp. No one gave me a heads up I would have to sit there with my boob flopped on a table for an hour while this dude talked about his dog. So embarrassed.

AFM - Exercise?? are you back to the gym a couple days after your transfer? I normally go 2-3x a week for cardio (stepper & treadmill) for about 1 hour to help control my high cholesterol...and that is about it, bc I really do not enjoy exercise at all.....my happiest moment about the gym is leaving. Last time I thought pregnancy was THE best excuse and I skipped the gym until the MC. The nurse said I should back to my normal life the day after and for sure! should go back to the gym, just take care of not getting exhausted. So I was thinking maybe giving it a week or even maybe until the first US...what are your thoughts on exercising?
So I just got the results from my second beta. It only went up to 139.6 so I have to go back Wednesday morning for another beta. Now I’m super scared and very sad.
ndz2018 yes!! I had mild cramps everyday until I started with the progesterone injections. The nurse said estrace alone may cause cramps, though once you start with the PIO it kind of balance everything.
@mama2b1974 I'd probably ask your doctor. Mine said "light activity" the 2nd day and tip beta. But I've heard some doctors want you doing nothing at all for a week.
@laurengon82 Hang in there girl! As you know, everyone's # are always so different so try not to compare yours. You may of just had a late implanter. I'm going to go with that and keep FX for you for Wednesday

Also I feel like I might have a uti. I was so focused on what the nurse said when she called that I forgot to ask her about my feel the urge to pee all day, even after I literally just went. Guess I’ll have to wait til morning to call.

@laurengon82 Hang in there doll @kristimh80 is right, everyone’s numbers are different. As for the UTI, UGH seriously they are the worst haven’t had one in years.. is there maybe a walk in clinic you can go to and they can test you for it? Let them know obviously you’re pregnant Bc today you are sending lots of love and light to you
@mama2b1974 Oh good glad I’m not going crazy ! I’m not too concerned I have BW and US tomorrow so I was gonna mention it to my nurse when she called too.
@laurengon82 I’m sorry for the discouraging news, but try to be positive. It’s frustrating that all you can do for now is wait, but we really don’t know at this point and as @ndz2018 said, today you’re still pregnant! I’m thinking of you and hoping for the best.
@mama2b1974 I’m actually still not back at the gym regularly (which for me was every weekday to miss traffic before work - yoga M/F, spin T/Th, W maybe some unpleasant treadmill time). I really don’t work very hard when I’m there. After my last transfer I went back to the gym as usual after my second beta - probably it was just coincidence, but I started to spot the day that I did a Thursday spin class (can’t remember if t was my first or second one back), it continued (yoga Friday, walked around on campus and at a football game Saturday) then three days later on Sunday *TW* I was full on bleeding and didn’t stop . With my first pregnancy (natural), I just went to the gym as usual because I didn’t see a doctor until after 8 weeks (she only lasted 4 more), but I’m being pretty conservative for peace of mind (pretty much just walking and restorative yoga) after having been traumatized after my last transfer.

@laurengon82 FX for a better result on Wednesday. Easier said than done...but try not to worry too much.
@mama2b1974 My instructions were no exercise that will heat up my core. The nurse doing discharge said to take it easy until my beta and recommended walking only to be safe. They also told me no bending, twisting, or lifting over 10 pounds so exercise would be limited just with those restrictions.
@J1006@artemis618@mcgeeva@ndz2018@mayflower513 thank you. Just so freaked out. I’m always a worrier in general. I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next two days. @mayflower513 the nurse said it could be a lab error. She said they wanted it to be at 180 or more since it’s been 3 days since my first beta. She said with it not doubling I’m at a higher risk of miscarriage.
Just walked into the urgent care. They said I should be in and out in an hour. There are a lot of people here waiting though. Ugh.
@laurengon82 Feel free to vent to us as much as you need to make that hour there go by faster!! I know waiting rooms are the worst. Hopefully, you can find a place in the corner to zone out at.

@kristimh80 I did get a call from a coworker about work stuff. That was actually a nice distraction. This is a very small waiting room and every seat is taken. Hopefully I’m soon. They just took in the guy that walked in just before me.

Ok so with all that is going on today I got mixed up and put an endometrin in at 7. I’m losing it. I’m suppose to do 7, 3, and 11. Now I don’t know when I should put in the next one. Any thoughts. This is the worse time for me to screw up my meds.
@laurengon82 I don’t think the timing has to be too precise. Try not to worry. Because I did a natural cycle transfer this time, I’m only on two a day (vs 4 a day) - and my PA said it didn’t really matter (like they didn’t have to be exactly 12 hours apart or anything). Hope you got your UTI addressed. I swear I’ve always had mild UTI symptoms (I’m prone to UTIs and used to take Macrobid prophylactically after sex) on Endometrin.

@kristimh80 - thank you! I love the happy thoughts!
@mama2b1974 - Reading you is the best thing! So thankful for having you…makes me feel so normal!!! - I'm so touched! You make me feel normal too! lol!
I've been going on some long walks, but I'm not doing the kind of exercise that I usually do. Usually, I do some strenuous exercise like 2x a week (or at least I try to... if I'm honest, I was way better about regular exercising before IF). But during this TWW, I'm taking it easy.
@laurengon82 - FX for you! That would be so stressful! Hoping everything works out for the best! And also hoping you don't have a UTI!
I second @artemis618 - it doesn't have to be too precise. I'm sure it's not going to change anything. Are you on PIOs too? You probably still have progesterone in your system, so being a couple of hours late one day won't make a big difference.
@mcgeeva - the boob out sounds awful. I would hate that! Ugh!
@laurengon82 Hang in there - everyone responds differently - sending you all the good luck for tomorrow. Don't stress too much about timing of meds - as others have said - I don't believe the timing has to be too exact. And I really hope you got your uti sorted @mama2b1974 My nurses have always advised to stick as close to my regular routine as possible from the day after transfer - just as long as you don't get exhausted or feel any pain. Which is weird cos normally I try to push myself - but instead it's like - I'm tired I'm gonna stop now (after ~1km )

Also I feel like I might have a uti. I was so focused on what the nurse said when she called that I forgot to ask her about my feel the urge to pee all day, even after I literally just went. Guess I’ll have to wait til morning to call.

@mama2b1974 Oh good glad I’m not going crazy ! I’m not too concerned I have BW and US tomorrow so I was gonna mention it to my nurse when she called too.
@mcgeeva
@mama2b1974 I’m actually still not back at the gym regularly (which for me was every weekday to miss traffic before work - yoga M/F, spin T/Th, W maybe some unpleasant treadmill time). I really don’t work very hard when I’m there. After my last transfer I went back to the gym as usual after my second beta - probably it was just coincidence, but I started to spot the day that I did a Thursday spin class (can’t remember if t was my first or second one back), it continued (yoga Friday, walked around on campus and at a football game Saturday) then three days later on Sunday *TW* I was full on bleeding and didn’t stop

@mama2b1974 My instructions were no exercise that will heat up my core. The nurse doing discharge said to take it easy until my beta and recommended walking only to be safe. They also told me no bending, twisting, or lifting over 10 pounds so exercise would be limited just with those restrictions.
Just walked into the urgent care. They said I should be in and out in an hour. There are a lot of people here waiting though. Ugh.

Ugh!
@mama2b1974 My nurses have always advised to stick as close to my regular routine as possible from the day after transfer - just as long as you don't get exhausted or feel any pain. Which is weird cos normally I try to push myself - but instead it's like - I'm tired I'm gonna stop now (after ~1km

@dragonette505 it worked!!! Thank you!!! Still sore from the previous injections but definitely better…heat-massage-heat is the formula!!
@laurengon82 hang in there! I know the numbers don’t sound awesome but are still going up
I used to have UTI every year until I discovered
cranberry juice, just one glass a day.
Thanks to all for the exercise info…I have decided to take it easy, I do really hate the gym so why would I do it during this already stressful time. I will go back after the first US
