My parents have been here since Saturday night and we have gotten so much accomplished. They finally convinced me to start my registry at target and make my Amazon one public. **TW** my dad really encouraged me that I can’t go through life and my pregnancy worrying about what if something happens. **END TW**
Aside from getting my target registry done with my mom, along with some other shopping, my dad and H put up a new wall creating the nursery on one side and dressing room for the master on the other. They created a new master closet and walk through to the new dressing room. And today we got the nursery painted! Feeling very accomplished and they are here for a couple more days.
My brain has stopped working this week. I just told H something "is running out of size" instead of saying it was getting too small. Running out of size, y'all.
We are going on vacation in a few weeks and I needed swimsuits (tankinis). I ordered a regular one that seemed flow-y from target and a maternity one from Pink Blush. I have no time to shop so I was super excited about online shopping (I haven’t done it much before). I got messages that both were delivered today! When I got home from work they were no where to be found! I searched the whole apartment building, asked the manager, etc. I went online and reported them stolen. I was so pissed! Then my husband came home and walked in with both packages...They had been shoved in our mailbox and for some reason, even though that is the most obvious place to look, I forgot to look there. Both fit great and are so cute! I’m so happy! I cancelled my complaints to the companies. I feel like an idiot! But, I am also so relieved to have found swim wear! It’s been that kind of day.
@magnolia209 that’s awesome! I love new stuff, especially swimsuits. When you think about a package sometimes the mailbox does not seem very logical because hey it’s a package! And you get to use pregnancy brain as an excuse on this one.
I've been slower this week with participation due to some toddler sleep issues and now a cold, but have been reading right along.
@magnolia209 I'm always shocked what they can fit in my mailbox too! Glad the swimsuits fit and you like them! I recently ordered a one piece from motherhood maternity and I really like the fit, looking forward to eventually using it.
@klj0228 that's great your H and dad have been able to get so much done, I bet it's a huge relief. Also, that's so nice your dad was able to give you some wisdom like that. My dad gives some really solid advice and I always appreciate his perspective on things.
@nlc8424 I hope you toddler starts sleeping better and feeling better soon. And, I hope you get to sit by a pool soon as well! I know this seems like a neverending winter (even here in LA)!
And, yes thanks to you and @klj0228 I do blame both pregnancy brain and the postal worker who shoved the packages into the mailbox when that is not where they should be.
But mostly I’m so happy to have found things to wear and feel good in by the pool! Now I can start shopping for other fun summery/maternity things.
@magnolia209 If you find anything let me know! I feel like all the spring stuff is out right now which is just kind of blah, but I probably haven't searched enough.
DH took a week off work and has been spending so much time with DD. It's so cute to see them together and also nice I have some me time. I can leave the house!
I'm pretty much fully caught up on my regular office work....except for tracking my productivity which I'm chronically behind on. But I'm so excited to not have as much stuff hanging over my head! Also, my coworker and I bought a mini fridge for our offices and she brought it in today so we can actually keep cold stuff in our office without going to the cafeteria. I'm irrationally excited about this! I can bring my own greek yogurt, string cheese, fruit that I want to keep cold, and so many other things. Adulting at its finest hah.
@nlc8424 yay for being caught up on work and a new mini fridge! There is something so satisfying about being able to store your own food close to your own desk!
@mrsman2018 I have had one show up so far. How was the removal? Did your Ob do it or did you have to go to the dermatologist?

So as I was walking out of one of my sites (hospital) just now I saw a coworker who has been out of work for a while due to a recent diagnosis and treatment of cancer. I loved that she didn't even hesitate to come right up to me and talk, she looks great and had such a positive attitude. I told her I was expecting number 2 and she congratulated me and said she hopes to be back before I leave. It put such a smile on my face, but as soon as I left the hospital I immediately teared up. Damn hormones.
klj0228lisac113 I just brought it up to my GP at a prenatal appt and said I was ready to rip it off. It was on my thigh so it would rub every time I walked and I had to wear a band aid on it 24/7 cause it hurt so bad. My GP just used liquid nitrogen and flash froze it, took one minute. It was cold but did not hurt and it fell off in less than 48 hrs. It is still sensitive but I am glad it is gone and am sure it will heal in another day or so.
So, I should have done something for this baby like something.... I have my big ultrasound then end of this month and it will be the first time we "see" baby! I think after that that we hopefully find everything is good and what we're having we'll actually put some plans into motion....
For my first when she came we had: a car seat and stroller, diapers, a nursery that got the bedding when I was in labour (and didn't get used much for the first bit anyway), borrowed clothes (we were team green), a borrowed baby seat (I think), some cloth diapers (as I knew I wanted to do that), a diaper bag, and a few outfits and other random things that people gave us in advance, a playpen with bassinet and that's about what I can remember right now!!! So not much. The rest we've acquired as we've went along!!!

Thank you everyone @klj0228 that gif was perfect. I survived my test!!! I think I did well enough to pass but won't find out for a few weeks. Then when I was finished I saw I had an email invite to interview for a supervisor position at work! I'm excited, even though my coworker is totally a shoe in for it and I would be happy if he got it, it's nice to get an interview.
Also just to recap this week to give you all a chuckle: Monday- smoothie in purse Tuesday- water all over the desk Wednesday- no stitch fix box with interview clothes (thankfully I had a backup outfit) FedEx is not my favorite Thursday- I forgot my work badge and had to wear a visitor badge for my interview Friday- I forgot my winter coat... It's definitely still winter here
Hopefully all that bad luck means I got the coordinator position and passed my test!!!!!!!! Next week is going to be a piece of cake.
