@pumpkinpancake no shame at all! I made a deli wrap up a corned beef and pastrami sandwich for me to take to the airport once haha. Do what you need to do! If you don't mind sharing, where in Jersey do you live?

@sammierose464 I’d lose the one paid week that I do have coming. Wouldn’t get anything better. I ended up turning down the one job, although she wants me to call after baby so it’s still a possibility for later. The other job hasn’t called yet but I think the manager is on vacation this week. I’m not keeping my fingers on it anymore tho.
Is that the one where you'd be on your feet all day? They are clearly interested if they want you to keep in touch! That's a good sign!
@HoosOnFirst aside from North End style pizzas, which I found to be ‘meh,’ there was one place by BU that I remember made decent pizza. It was called Brothers or 3 Brothers, something like that. Worth trying if it’s still there this many years later!
Wtf to myself. Pregnant people shouldn’t rake rock/gravel. I should have known this already. I tried to take it easy and I quit when my stomach told me to but I’m paying for this tomorrow!!
I will get flamed by the native St. Louisans, but...
St. Louis style pizza is nasty, and Imo’s (local pizza chain) is a complete waste. Luckily, there are some delightful pizza places in town, just not that one.
Is no one talking about Chicago deep dish pizza?! It's not my favorite but it's definitely special and delicious now and then. Gino's East is the best, hands down.
My favourite pizzas are authentic Italian pizza. It is made in a wood-fired oven and where the crust is thin but has a fluffy doughy consistency. Favourite toppings: San Marzano sauce, goat cheese, spinach, spicy salami or prosciutto, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives and pickled red onions. Then drizzled with a balsamic reduction sauce. MMMM now my mouth is watering.
I am not a huge fan of big chain style pizza places because I find their ingredients not fresh and the pizza to be greasy. Unless I am hungover and then I will order a meat lovers from Pizza Hut or Domino's and just relish in the grease LOL

*is currently eating a deep dish pizza in the Chicago airport.* We also had Little Caesars pizza for dinner last night. Baby loves pizza (ok. Mommy loves pizza and uses baby as an excuse.)
@mariek312 Oh boy I have a horrible story from eating deep dish pizzas at Gino's when we were in Chicago 2 years ago. My friend had to have emergency surgery because the massive amounts of cheese in the pizza clogged him up. He didn't poo for 4 days and his rectum flipped (which is very rare). He almost died on the operating table twice, had massive relapses with infections and had to have a 2nd surgery a year later to see if they could reattach his digestive system and rectum, with no such luck and now he has no rectum ad lower intestines and has to live with a colostomy bag. He is a very attractive 42 year old gay man who is vain and now is miserable. Needless to say I will not be eating deep dish pizza again!

All this pizza talk makes me want to go get some now and thanks to @chyvie it needs to be wood oven pizza. I wonder if I can convince my husband to pick up one on his way home. We know this great restaurant that has a fig pizza that is possibly my favorite pizza ever.
@chyvie that’s horrifying. Sorry to hear about your friend! When I had deep dish in Chicago though, I didn’t really think there was all that much more cheese than any other pizza? Also, a good neopolitan pizza like you described is my favorite outside of NY. And in my opinion, chain pizza like dominos and Pizza Hut should not be considered pizza
All this pizza talk has made me really want it for lunch now. I’m seriously debating in my head whether my laziness wins out or my desire to eat all the pepperoni pizza. It’s a little cold and rainy out, but right now I’m thinking pizza might win... damn you all!
My husband texted me (while I was eating dinner, because 5 pm nausea is NO JOKE for me) asking if I wanted to go to dinner when he gets home...oooops....but I'm probably going to suggest the restaurant in our neighborhood, because a) i'll be hungry by the time he gets home and b) this talk of pizza makes me want pizza
In the spirit of wtf, I was on local moms board and one woman asked about toothpaste for her 1 year old and some other lady literally told her to google how fluoride harms kids. No effing citation. I called her out and she pulled the whole “it’s my opinion and I’m allowed to state my opinion” nonsense. It’s like no, you are spouting your opinion AS THOUGH it’s factual but not backing it up at all and it’s totally irresponsible. Go eff yourself.
@HoosOnFirst to play devil's advocate... apparently when I was a baby the water in Louisiana had super high concentrations of fluoride, and it ended up mottling (sp?) my teeth. Really only a cosmetic issue, and I can't really tell anymore. And now I may or may not have an issue with fluoride toothpaste, as I was having a rash around my mouth that went away once I switched to fluoride free. Could be a coincidence, idk. I have a lot of other issues lol!
But overall, agree with you. No harm. Also, I still get the fluoride varnish twice a year because my sensitive teeth are a bitch and that varnish is amazing. Soooo not on "team anti fluoride"
WTH?! As a person with no enamel on their teeth and no proper dental care until about 7 years ago can I please scream TAKE CARE OF THOSE TEETH!!!!! My dentist loves when I pay a visit because it means a vacation for his family. I’m up to $3000 from the past week.
Also, WTF kids. Like can’t you put yourself to bed. You’re interrupting my bump time.
So it's Friday night but whatever...I have a new WTF So WTF to insurance?! I had to sign a paper at the ob office (it's a women's center) stating I was aware that they would not do the HPV test, because most insurances are refusing to cover it. As a woman turning 30 in the next 2 weeks, and every woman on my maternal side having issues with cervical cancer/abnormal cells etc, this kind of bothers me...

I hear ya. It’s one thing I did find when I checked this lady’s assertions. Too much fluoride can cause spots. It’s not devils advocate at all! My issue was more like, lady, don’t make some bold assertion then be like “but that’s just like, my opinion so I don’t need to back it up”
I also firmly believe dental should be included under health insurance. There’s a ton of evidence tooth/oral health it’s realted to many other medical health issues. My mom grew up in West Virginia in the 60s and let’s just say she only has half her teeth. So off topic, but @jomama1618 I hear ya. No dental is aggravating. I don’t have insurance either, although work will reimburse me for a portion. Just enough for two cleanings and maybe one filling a year.
My Dr was adamant I start seeing a dentist during my pregnancy but I don't have insurance for that
Are there any dental schools near you? Did you say you lived in MA? I do too, I’m happy to look into it for you. It’s usually free or reduced price and while it’s students in dental school, it might be good for cleanings.
I agree with @HoosOnFirst that would probably be your best bet. Some community colleges have programs as well. Or some places offer discount or coupons for new clients. That's how I found my new dentist.

In case anyone is wondering, pizza won out over lazy, and it was amazing... (hopefully this pic isn’t huge...)
