  • @lurvleybunchococonuts ugh, same. I know I’ll feel better (temporarily) if I eat, but the thought of actually eating something is almost torturous because everything sounds disgusting.

  • Peanut butter and grilled cheese all day, every day. 
  • I've also been eating a lot of peanut butter toast. That was dinner last night because nothing else sounded good. I haven't been to the grocery store in two weeks because I can't stand the thought of going anywhere near the meat aisle. Luckily, DH has been handling it. I'm pretty sure were are going to be living off of raviolis and spaghetti sauce this week. That seems completely palatable.

  • I can't stop thinking about Taco Bell.... But I know actually eating Taco Bell will make me feel so gross. The struggle is real.

  • All the carbs... you ladies hit it on the head with salt & vinegar chips and cool ranch doritos.... no idea why, but anything spicy or sour is glorious and anything remotely sweet makes me run for the bathroom.  Also, for whatever reason, dairy makes me super sick when I am pregnant so no milk, ice cream or cheese.  What kind of pregnant woman doesn't get ice cream?!  Yes, I know about coconut/almond milk ice cream but it isn't quite the same :frowning:

    Also, Chick-fil-a is seriously calling to me and I normally hate breaded/fried chicken.

  • Something crazy has happened. Believe it or not, I actually feel full. I am completely stuffed after my lunch and I still have food left. I haven't felt full in at least 4 weeks. This is very bizarre.

    @runningyogimama this makes me feel a lot better as I feel sick at the thought of vegetables right now (and have been this way for the past 3 weeks).  I have felt very guilty about not eating fresh vegetables, but am trying to make up for it with fruit smoothies.

    I have been craving salty chips, beans and rice.  Last week my husband made mild yellow curry (managing to squeeze in some potato, onion, and carrot) and it was amazing, so hopefully if I cook/disguise the vegetables I won't be so put off by them.

    I think the most frustrating thing is that even the thought of being in my kitchen (the smells of everything) makes me nauseous.  Fortunately hubby has been amazingly patient and understanding, and has been making and bringing me most of my meals. We also learned quickly not to buy or cook in bulk because what foods are fine one day I may have an aversion to the next. =X

    Reading everyone's responses makes me feel so much better about not eating perfectly healthy myself during this time of moderate to intense nausea and fatigue.  Thank you all so much for sharing.

  • I have just started craving crunch wrap supreme a lot lately. It's all about pickles and salt for me. Hummus and pita are also favorites.
  • I'm so jealous of all of you. I have PCOS so I can't splurge at all on tasty foods. I'm mostly tricking myself into eating vegetables by spiralizing them into noodles. 

    I'd love more junk food...

  • @KellyT22 Same! I conned my husband into bringing me Taco Bell at work the other day. I'm thinking I'm growing at least one boy in here. With both of my other boys I craved tacos, hamburgers, steak...anything salty with meat! With my girl I craved anything sweet, didn't even want to eat a meal. Just wanted fruit and dessert. Very weird. 
    But, of course, everyone is different. This is just what I know from my own experiences. Haha

  • Cantaloupe! I can't get enough of it. I usually don't really like cantaloupe that much, but when I went to the store this weekend I bought two huge cantaloupes and I already ate one of them!

  • Last night before I got home from work, I stopped at Wendy's and got a Jr. Cheeseburger because I NEEDED to have meat. I was just totally craving hamburger. Then my husband made Indian (Tiki Masala) and I had two helpings of that! I seem to want all the meat. I really think I am having a boy!
  • ALL the carbs, man.  Today I've got a bagel, some honey nut Chex, and some cookies (from my mom  :)).

    ALSO, I had my first prenatal OBGYN appointment yesterday, and I was telling the NP about these carbs--she said that carbs soak up the acid in your stomach and can help w/ the nausea, so go for it!  Also, has anybody else noticed that you get full super fast?  I'm hungry all the time, but I get sick-full much faster than I used to.  She said it's b/c your digestive tract has slowed to a crawl--that's why they recommend lots of little meals instead of 3 big ones.  #themoreyouknow

  • @EM0704 Oh man with my first boy I wanted everything sweet and fruit flavored - especially juice. With my second boy I wanted weird alcoholic creations (I definitely did not drink though!) and greasy food. No pattern for me :/

  • @EM0704 oh man when pregnant with my DD all I wanted was ALL the tacos and Mexican food. My husband was so sick of Mexican food by the end of it. :D Curious what I’m gonna be craving with this one once my nausea settles down.

  • Grilled cheese (but not from a pan its a 1000X better when you bake it in the oven, it is crispy and delicious) and chicken noodle soup. I am just nauseous all day every day but no specific food aversions yet. Last pregnancy was eggs I couldn't even have them in the house.

    Mashed potatoes all day, every day. Strangely enough I love french fries, but just can't bring myself to eat them right now. #blessed? 
  • Today most of my school is testing (State standardized test) so we were given the option to order catered mexican food. I placed an order last week, walk down to lunch expecting some chips and salsa and enchiladas... and I find boiled hot dogs :s . Apparently, not enough people ordered and they "forgot" to tell us that it was cancelled. So, I figured I'd just get a lunch from the cafeteria (since hot dogs sounded disgusting) and guess what was being served?! Hot dogs!  :'(  I struggled to not start crying right there in the middle of the cafeteria!

  • @middleschoolmommy Dude I want to throatpunch someone at your school. First forgetting to tell you about taking the attendance reward off the table and now forgetting to tell you about taking actual food off the table? Ugh. What did you end up eating?
  • @MouseMama817 I got the potato wedges and cup of peaches from the cafeteria line... I couldn't bring myself to even get the hot dog! It is really disappointing. What may be worse, is that I can honestly say this is the best school I've ever worked at and I love my administration here. Compared to the other 2 schools I've been at, this is heaven!

  • @middleschoolmommy No that's not worse; that's a consolation lol. I retract the throat punch. I came across an article a few days ago with a list of things pregnant women can't eat, and it listed hot dogs (so of course I immediately wanted one). But just like with lunch meat, if we heat it to steaming we can still have it can't we? I don't think it was a particularly reputable article for a few reasons, one being that it listed nearly every single food I've ever heard of. But it's given me onemorething to Google and isn't helping with food aversions. Or my anxiety. All in all, maybe it's a good thing you were turned off to Hot Dog Day?

  • I’m currently eating 3/4 of a honeydew melon, ds is eating the rest. I’m making dh go pick up delicious biscuits for dinner too. You can also add me to the getting full fast group. 
  • @pink_polkadots That's what I figured-- that's why I nuked mine when I finally gave into that craving lol. If it works on lunch meat...

    Culver’s lemon ice coolers!! Omg I am craving it sooo badly. If you don’t have a Culver’s, it’s basically frozen lemonade. To make the coolers they blend it and I have them add strawberry’s. Absolutely amazing. If you have one near you, go try one!!

    i also am loving watermelon, snap peas and Frosted Flakes lol

  • DH just made pancakes for dinner. Kind of soothed my nausea and I’m finally full. I hope pancakes won’t seem disgusting once I’ve digested my meal  :cold_sweat:
  • I am on the popsicle train this week and Crispix. I still can't drink much water without getting nauseous, which sucks because I love water. I am having to drink Gatorade to stay hydrated so I don't get crazy bad headaches. (Like I got with DS. Got one yesterday though.) I am not a huge fan of gatorade plus all the extra sugar & crap but I need to stay hydrated! (I even tried watering it down and my body was not having it. Ugh!)

    @blue2mango. Oooo crispex are so good. I have been on a cereal kickcfor breakfast these days. Hope the headaches resolve 

    ETA: the HR lady brought in banana cake today and brought me a slice as an apology for stinking up the building making coffee :lol: I haven't been big on sweets, but it's better than my crackers atm.

  • Ketchup... I'm craving ketchup for the past 2 weeks WTF. So, I'm eating everything i can put ketchup on like burger & grill Cheese... Yes I eat grill Cheese with ketchup, my boyfriend find it disgusting but it's REALLY good :smile: ahhaha

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts @kbrown2385 I have always enjoyed crispix but haven't had them in a while. I was grocery shopping and they sounded delicious. Its my 2nd breakfast right now.  :D
