  • @kbrown2385 I am exactly the same way! With nausea or sore breast. It is weird to pray to be miserable!

  • @erinmarie86 I’m on a clock of some sort I think  :D DH has repeatedly mentioned that he can’t wait until I reach that point.
  • I just want to thank you all for taking the time to reassure me! It's amazing how much it helps.
You are an awesome bunch of women!

    *Just keep breathing*
  • @babybrain2018 breathing is a good good thing :) how are you feeling now?
  • I've felt hungover all day today. My stomach hurts, I'm nauseous, I'm tired...ugh! I promise I haven't been drinking! I'm starting to feel ready to be out of the first tri.
I'm currently hiding upstairs drinking a cup of tea because MH is cooking dinner and the smell of the fridge makes me want to yack. I feel so bad because MH has been picking up all the slack. He's been such trooper.

  • I can’t believe the hip pain when I sleep has begun already. How?!! I had totally forgotten about this symptom from last time. Barely slept the last two nights and I think exhaustion is making my weakness/nausea worse. I had to lay down mid chopping vegetables.  My poor kids never gonna eat dinner.  Now I’m trying to at least get strength to boil water for a box of Mac and cheese.....
  • The other night I had reflux. I feel like it's way too early for that already.

@offtoneverland The smell of the fridge specifically? You got it bad girl.  :(

@Eveinshock Boxed mac n cheese sounds delicious right now...
  • @offtoneverland what kind of tea are you drinking?

  • @MouseMama817 I started getting some acid reflux/heartburn this morning. Pregnancy is the only times in my life I’ve had it. Ugh, it’s too soon!!

@Eveinshock Also with the hip/SI joint pain! And following a week of it, it turns out my hips have seriously spread out a bit, because my pants were difficult to get up over my hips.

@runningyogimama It's the freaking worst. Last pregnancy I didn't have much MS but reflux made me sick. FYI to you and anyone who ends up having lots of acid reflux, you can get generic Omeprazole at Walmart for 1/5 of the price of a prescription. My midwife told me to stay away from Tums because it exacerbates the problem and prescribed me Omeprazole at $40 a pop. A nurse told me about the Equate version at Walmart. Same results for like $6!

ETA: Obviously check w/ your OB before taking!
  • @pink_polkadots I picked up a box of decaf Bigelow lemon lift today. I had a cup at work today and it helped me feel a bit better.
@MouseMama817 Ugh, we left some food in the fridge too long over the weekend, so when we got back home from our Easter festivities, our fridge smelled so, so bad. The smell is still lingering but it's getting better thankfully.
@Eveinshock did you get up the energy to make dinner tonight? So sorry you've been in pain and are feeling so sick!

  • @prairiemomma82 thanks! I'm still anxious. But the nausea is there again, so that helps. I'm just going to keep hoping everything is ok, and thinking positive thoughts!

@Eveinshock I hate to admit how much Mac and cheese we have already gone through this pregnancy hahhaa. No shame. But now I want some!! I hope everything goes well with your US today!

@MouseMama817 is that $40 per pill for the Omeprazole?!
  • @babybrain2018 Oops, I should’ve clarified lol. It was $40/bottle but I still feel that’s expensive for heartburn meds!
  • @MouseMama817 I've had limited nausea but have had heartburn since week 4 of pregnancy!
  • @TheSouffleGirl you can add peeing while coughing to my list as well. I had to change my underwear yesterday because of that situation. Thanks a lot body.

All I want to eat is ramen. Lots and lots of ramen. I don't care if it is the $0.25 stuff from the grocery store or actual real ramen from a restaurant. It all sounds delicious.

  • @offtoneverland My DH has been picking up so much slack too because of how awful I feel. I feel you on that one! Hopefully this phase will pass for you!

@Eveinshock I have been having hip pain too. I took an extra pillow to put between my legs, because I don't want to shell out the money for a pregnancy one yet, and between the hip pain and shoulder pain, I end up pushing it onto the floor most nights.

@MouseMama817 I don't want to be *that* girl but my Dr told me that Omeprazole isn't safe for pregnancy so she told me to stop taking it immediately. She showed me their medical site where it said it. Obviously take your Drs word over mine, just wanted to share that with you.

  • @Tessiesmom26 Girl, don't feel bad! I feel like we can't possibly keep up with all of the do's/don'ts so I'm glad to have input from everyone. Hopefully I won't have as big of a heartburn issue this go around but if I do, I'll ask for a different medication. Frustrating that my midwife and a nurse both considered it safe to recommend! It would be nice to not have to go behind them with my own research.
  • @MouseMama817 So true! I had acid reflux so bad that I had to have gastric bypass last year to correct it because they had done everything else to fix it. Since the surgery I have had it twice, and both times it landed me in the ER. My Dr who did the surgery was the one who told me not to take it, not my OB, if that matters. I also feel like all Drs have different methods and beliefs so that could be it too.

The NP at my OB office said continuing to take omeprazole was fine. H2 blockers like zantac don't do anything for me (I tried zantac 150 for 3 days and I had miserable heartburn all day all 3 days). I have GERD not being pregnant, but it's worsened by pregnancy. Here are a couple studies I found that say omeprazole is most likely ok while pregnant. If tums or zantac touched my heartburn I'd take them, but since they don't, omeprazole it is. I do plan on double checking with my OB tomorrow that the NP was correct.

  • @tessiesmom26 Omgosh that’s some serious freaking heartburn!! I had no idea it could be that bad. I hope it doesn’t give you any trouble while you’re growing that baby!

@mockingjay1 This is great info, thank you!

9 wks 1d today -This week I have been getting a weird sensation that comes and goes. The best way I can describe it is the same feeling as heartburn but in my pelvic area. It seems to go away when I eat and if I get up and stretch a bit. I'm trying not to worry too much about that one because it doesn't feel like cramping and It's not consistent.

Had a migraine today, boobs are still sore most days, feel bloated and gassy most of the time, and the exhaustion continues big time. 3 more weeks until my next ultrasound/check up and looking forward to the reassurance that will bring
  • Restless legs. I have had them at the end of my previous pregnancies, but seriously. This is not the end! I don't want to do 34 weeks of this! Anybody know how to make it better?
  • Anyone else get a weird...flutter or tickle feeling in their uterus? It's intermittent. Never felt something like this before. I was lying in bed trying to nap, and it kept happening.
I dunno. Maybe it's just uterine expansion or something.
  • @LeahKnits I don't know if it's the same for pregnancy, but for my grandmother's restless legs (and my MIL) magnesium helped. But it's supposed to be a certain type/form of magnesium. And obviously check with the Dr to make sure it's safe for baby. Dunno if it will help but maybe worth looking into.
  • @rmg85 could it be RLP?

  • 6 weeks today.

My nausea has picked up (had to have a bucket by the bed last night) but it never lasts long. My breasts are huge and hurt to be touch but only hurt on their own for the little while after taking my bra off. My appetite has exploded and I want to eat all the things. Oh and now I am having trouble sleeping even if I am tired throughout the day. And I can't forgot the weird cramping/pain I get throughout the day. The doctor said it is from my bowels not moving as well. Although, some is in my hips and I am wondering if it is RLP (even though I know it is early, this is my 4th pregnancy *TW* but only only has gone full term).
  • @bfpafter4years seems like we've got a lot of similarities! I'm 6w1d today and have had limited nausea off and on, but today it seems to be going strong. No bucket needed though. Breasts feel big and hurt to the touch but usually only hurt on their own after taking my bra off. And I'm having trouble sleeping as well! Keep waking myself up at 4:30. I've also had headaches the last couple of days. Thinking of you and hoping your scan goes well tomorrow!
  • rmg85rmg85 member
@lifesabeach85 - I think it's probably a combo of RLP and constipation. A bit unnerving but I can always call the Health Link nurse if I get too worried about it.

Hope all you ladies are hanging in there! Our bodies are working hard to grow these little ones ❤
  • My leg is hurting today. Feel like muscle, so maybe I slept funny. I had to take tylenol because I couldn't ignore it anymore, but I am also feeling some strong MS right now, so I had to take it on an empty stomach and now I just feel even worse. UGH I so don't need this today  :(

@babybrain2018:  I feel like I get that intermittently.  I always imagine it's my uterus popping out a corner or twitching as it takes over territory or something, but I have a very unscientific imagination.  :D  I'm the girl who thought when she was little that your stomach grumbles happened when the gears in your gut ran out of stuff to process and started grinding on each other.
  • I am just SO FREAKING TIRED. I'm sitting at my desk at work and can barely keep my head up, much less get anything done. Blargh.

Someone mentioned hip pain... I had that last night in the middle of the night and thought, surely this cant be pregnancy related already?? I swear it's like I blacked out everything about my last pregnancy. Now I wish I had kept a journal or something.

  • Anyone not pooping? Lol!!! I just realized I haven't in 2 days. I think I need to do something about this soon!
  • I suddenly have morning sickness (or more accurately all day, but especially at night sickness) out of nowhere at almost 8 weeks.  WTF?

I threw up last night, but mainly I'm just incredibly queasy, especially if I'm even a little bit hungry and I'm hungry almost all the time.

Headaches are still going strong.  I'm also getting a weird fluttering feeling in my uterus, as well as stretchy feelings.  Too early to be baby moving around, so it must be my uterus doing...stuff.

My boobs are continuing the quest to make me wear a new baby size every week, too, which is fun.  I'm damn near flat chested to start with (though I'm a 28D, they're just small but with an even smaller ribcage), so it's not like I'm suddenly spilling out of my shirts. And they're really firm.

And the infamous pregnancy constipation is making me miserable.  I'm going every day, but it's not fun and definitely not easy.  I've been drinking a ton of water, but it's not really helping.

I'm a mess over here.  This is somewhat different than last time around (especially the morning sickness), so I'm wondering if maybe I'm having a girl this time.  I know every pregnancy is different and different symptoms don't mean different sexes, but it's fun to wonder and I would love a little girl after my two boys!

  • Hey everyone. Checking in on the symptom train. I've had extreme nausea and vomiting 2-3 times a day since about week 5-6. I finally had my OB appointment on the 30th and they gave me a sample of diclegis. I took that over Easter weekend and was fine Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. I started getting really nauseous again Saturday night and it lasted through Sunday. We didn't get home from our beach vacation until about 9pm Sunday night and I started vomiting all over again. Monday, same thing only this time, I was at work and the office I was covering heard it all (I'm a loud vomitter). I was sent home Monday and called to see if there was something else I could get. I didn't get in touch with the OB office until yesterday. I took the day off because I didn't want to be sent home again and they were able to send in a prescription for some suppositories. So far, they have helped and I'm keeping everything crossed they continue to do so. Being told to go home really freaked me out, though, so I'm looking at putting in my notice and leaving at the end of the next assignment I have, which runs to April 25th.

Outside of nausea, which has basically taken over my life, I have cravings that hit at the drop of a hat and extreme exhaustion. Still pains me when I sneeze and I think I'm going to break out the panty liners sooner than later.
