CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): *maybe* CD1? spotting this am (1 day later than usual but at least not a week early like last month!)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): prenatals, Vit D, CoQ10
Rants/Raves: Aaaaaand, it's snowing again!! It's beautiful but I just don't want to shovel it anymore! Especially if I'm going to be cramping today! Thankfully, DH is working from home today so maybe I can bribe him to get out there and do it by baking brownies! LOL!
Questions for the group: Talk to me about progesterone! Q1: Does *everyone* that does IVF have to take this or is it a case-by-case basis? Q2: What's your plan: PIO or suppositories & why?
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? Look, I'm old and can't remember back that far, LOL! It was either the Dave Matthew Band at Giants Stadium or The Tibetan Freedom Fest at Randall's Island. Both were great, although at DMB we had nose-bleed seats and even the huge jumbo-tron screens were barely visible! The Freedom Fest was amazing but I passed out in the line waiting to get in. No food/drink & hot sun is not a good combo. My bf at the time though he gave me bad drugs (I know, I know...young and dumb!) but I was just really dehydrated! Once I came to, I was fine and went on to trip the day away and watch the Beastie Boys perform on stage a few feet away from me! I literally got pushed back to the barricade & pulled up/out of the crowd due to the intense mosh pit that had formed. Ahhh, those were the days! How did I survive my 20s???
What are you grateful for this week? Happy Easter & Passover to those who celebrate! Although I was feeling stressed about having my dad & his SO at my SIL's for Easter, it was fine. Thankfully there were 34 people there so they diluted having to spend time with her. I did feel the need, initially, to spend a lot of time with them, but then I just let that go and walked away to chat with my other family. They were fine without me & enjoyed themselves. DS usually won't leave my dad's side so I worried about that but, he didn't do that today and spent lots of time with other family too. All is well!

Rants/Raves: YUP its snowing here again too! My H phone started going off at 4:20am this morning with his workers asking if job were still running(he owns a trucking biz .. like the skyscrapers you see in NYC, well his company takes the soil, dirt etc from and to sites when they break ground) .... mind you at 4:20am there was NOTHING on the ground! I am was soooo pissed off! It didnt stop then either ... 445, 510, 530 finally i got up and went on the couch. slept maybe another half hour. Needless to say i'm a tad cranky today.
Questions for the group:
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? It was a very long time ago but I was 13 and it was the Grateful Dead lol I went with my older sister and her friends. and @mich_elle Yup there was plenty of tripping going on at that concert too!!! First time I ever took a hit of acid my sister gave me a half a tab and was like DO NOT GET LOST LOL we had an amazing time!! AAHHH to be young again.
What are you grateful for this week? I am grateful that H and I went out for our own Easter dinner last night. It was a much needed date night and I got to get drunk one last time before my FET!
@mich_elle I'll be doing PIO and Endometrium inserts. Why, idk but i'm sure there is a method to the madness for that much progesterone. I just do what they tell me too lol
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): 6 DPO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?):
We had IUI last week. Taking progesterone suppositories
Rants/Raves:went to MI to spend weekend with my family! Heading home now.
Questions for the group:
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to?Bangles, Howard Jones or Thompson twins. I think I was in the 6th grade and I saw all 3 that summer not sure which order.
What are you grateful for this week? I’m glad I got an extra day with family and it will make this work week short! I’m not crazy yet with symptom spotting but give me a day. The only I noticed was for two days after IUI I felt like this electric wave in my uterus 24/7 and then it stopped. In two years of TTC, I haven’t ever had that feeling but I’m sure it was in my head
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable):
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Currently I backed off lots of supplements until I talk to my doctors so currently only taking multivitamin
Rants/Raves: I wanted an extra hour sleep so I had DH get DD ready for school today - thankful for that and hoping it helps with my overall energy feeling. Sorry for your lack of sleep @ndz2018 - that is the absolute worst IMO. I have the appt with my internal medicine doc today - finally! This afternoon. And my CM is returning to normal. Clomid really dried it out that month, a little bit more the next cycle and I know for sure this was my fertile week because it came out multiple times over the last few days.
Questions for the group: Anyone ever try those shakeology shakes just for snacks - not weight loss. I got a sampler pack but saw there were quite a few herbs in there so I was a little nervous to take it considering when I last took the adaptogen I got tummy upset.
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? Smashing pumpkins with my BFF when we were in HS
What are you grateful for this week? For hopefully the sun to come out on Wens. We got snow yesterday! I couldn't believe it. Just Friday last week I was walking at a trail enjoying the beautiful jacket weather.
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD 21
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): PNV, folate, Ubiquinol, Brotemain (pineapple core), fiber. Esterase / PIO
Rants/Raves: Tomorrow is FET...now to get this house cleaned so it doesn't drive me crazy. Doctor said no housework after FET, so just that alone will make me want to do it lol
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? Janie Frickie when super little, like 4.
What are you grateful for this week? Grateful to finally be at this point of my fertility journey. Plus it'll be 74 tomorrow, so staying warm won't be an issue, but still will wear fuzzy socks for good measure.
@mich_elle All doctors will put you on progesterone up until 12 weeks after your transfer if you fall pregnant. Even for my CP, my doctor put me on it in hopes to save the pregnancy. I do PIO injections because didn't want the mess of suppositories being you do them more than once a day. I've done them before and remember it felt like there was lotion in my crotch...sorry TMI! Plus PIO is a lot cheaper than suppositories and insurance will come a good amount of it.

@Mack2342 Wow, those are all amazing concerts!! Lucky! Thanks for your feedback about the P. What will you do to distract yourself during your TWW? FX for you!
@vlagrl29 Loved SP back in the day-that concert must have been awesome! Talk about baby steps to feeling better again, GL.
@kristimh80 Thanks for your feedback about the P. Trying to get the consensus here so I know what to think about going into IVF in May. Again, GL today!
@ChasingTheDog Um, that idea is genius! LOL! I'm so sorry about your pupper and hope you find peace soon. They're family and the loss is very hard. (((hugs))) My schnoodle, Harvey, & my black lab, Zachary, visited me in my dreams the other night. It was amazing to see them again. When I woke up, I was filled with a sense of love and happiness that was, of course, mixed with sadness as they've since passed over the rainbow bridge many years ago. They never leave you though. (((hugs)))

@mich_elle I usually am good until about 9DPO then I start POAS. I have friends coming to town this weekend so that will help with the distraction
@mich_elle - here is another baby step that happened this morning. I did not get nauseated or dry heave. I take it 1 day at a time and I consider this progress and hoping this part continues.
I was not impressed with the internal doctor - he wasn't very personable. He does want to test my TSH, T4, 8am cortisol, and mono. He also wanted to do a 2 hour glucose test to check blood sugars but I'm going to pass on that for now. It sounds dreadful. My naturopath has a blood order for me I need to do this week and she has insulin on there so I think that is good enough. If my ENdo wants to do glucose I'll do it then.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): I have been on prenatals for what feels like forever. I am going to ask my doctor his thoughts on baby aspirin once I ovulate again. He has mentioned it in the past and I was reading about it last night. I found it odd that both times I got pregnant in this last year i was on ibuprofen for tooth pain. Most months I wont take ANYTHING during the TWW except prenatal. So maybe the anti-inflammatory is doing something for me?
Rants/Raves: I still get irrationally frustrated by people who just "fall pregnant". And I feel so bad about it. It isn't their fault that it happens easily for them and it isn't my fault that it doesn't. Oh, also rant-if you are going to ask me "are you having more?" And "if you want more, you should get on that. You aren't getting any younger" then you had better also be willing to have the conversation about the years I am spending TTC and how not that simple it is for some people.
Rave- my partner who is amazingly supportive and somehow knows all of the right things to say and do during both times of loss and times of celebration on this journey.
Questions for the group: Any tips for improving health while TTC? I've been on a weight loss journey for months now with the goal to move to overweight instead of obese. I figure the best thing I can do for my body is get all sorts of healthy with food and exercise right now (it also means if there is a problem the doctor is more likely to investigate than to say try losing weight). Any apps anyone uses that they love or any exercise things that are go to for health and stress relief?
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? Wallflowers! I think I was a freshman in high school. I went and saw Dave Matthew's Band and ended up falling in love with their opener O.A.R. and they have been my favorite band now since 2004. I've seen O.A.R. so many times in concert including an outdoor one in my town (which they had never played at before) when my kiddo was 3 months old. So her very first concert was O.A.R.
What are you grateful for this week? Being able to drink coffee again for a bit. Silver linings on everything over here.
@kristimh80 Hoping that little girl snuggles right in your uterus for the next 8.5 months!!
@vlagrl29 Oh man! Did you tell the Dr that this all started when you did the round of Clomid? Does he think it could still be having residual effect from Feb?
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD26
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Prenat and vitamin D
Rants/Raves: this cold weather in April it's supposed to be Spring
Questions for the group:
GTKY: what was the first concert you went to? Bon Jovi when I was 13 and haven't missed a show since
What are you grateful for this week? Vacation!!! 2 more days of work then we leave Saturday morning. The day we leave they are calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow and when we land it's 87 and sunny
@vlagrl29 At least it's progress in the right direction!
@purplefan1 Welcome and I'm sorry for your losses (((hugs))). I like your mindset of looking forward to next steps as I think that's helpful too. Side note: you and I are on the same cycle :::high five CD2!::: aaaand I'm friggin miserable, LOL! Oh, and my alter-ego is Bitter Betty, so you're not alone hunny. "Oh, you got pregnant without even trying, well it's that fucking great!" It's rough being around me lately. I feel you on the weight loss things...I'm obese and I need to get a letter of clearance from my PCP & MFM in order to move forward with IVF in May :::eye roll::: And, apparently, getting an appointment to meet with the friggin Pope is easier than getting an appointment at MFM! Mine's finally scheduled for next Tuesday. Ugh, I need a letter bc I'm fat...cause I wasn't already feeling like crap about all of this!
@Labluver2 enjoy your vakay!

@Labluver2 - good to see you again! My friend told me the shakes would give me more energy and level out my blood sugars. I'm just a little scared to take it right now since the adaptogens I was taken upset my stomach and these shakes have adaptogens in them. But if I have several days of no morning nausea i may try them.
We are visiting my step FIL tonight in the hospital. He has to have a quadrupedal bypass. we saw him last night too. Kind of crazy scary!

im so bloated today and have no idea why.
the first thing I saw this morning on FB was a friend on mine had committed suicude. Makes me sad. He was bipolar and really struggled the last year and half.
@vlagrl29 sorry to hear about your friend. It's so sad that people feel the need to end thier life.
