  • @ndz2018 sorry for your loss and the cancellation of FET.

@vlagrl29 sorry for loss of your friend
    ndz2018
  • @vlagrl29 Ugh that’s terrible! I’m no stranger to suicide, it’s tough when there’s no answers always lots of anger on the survivors part.

And thank you ALL I’m Feeling a lil guilty about the whole thing but fact , my embryos will be there when I get back but my family that are living right now are priority. There will be a time when (hopefully) my embryo will be my child and he/she will be priority. Thank you so much for the love!

  • omg my appetite was insane tonight.  I had salad, chicken and potatoes.  Then we shared a dessert.  I got a sprite then we got home and I finished my DDs m&ms.  Everything is tasting so darn good but I need to be careful.  Maybe my appetite for more foods are coming back fx since I was dry heaving the last 3 weeks.

  • @ndz2018 Sorry to hear that you have to push back your FET.  It's hard to have competing priorities when you're ttc.

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): TWW but I'm pretty sure I'm out this month.

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable):11DPO and BFN.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): All the vitamins and ubiquinol.  Had our first RE appointment yesterday and the more I think about it, the more upset I get.  She said that because I get pregnant easily, I don't really fit the definition of "infertile".  I'm not sure how that makes sense since I lose the pregnancies.  Given that I'm 40, I really want to have to option to either mature more follicles or do some testing like PGS.  We got about three minutes with the actual RE so I didn't really get a chance to say much, but when we go for test results, I'm going to push.

    Rants/Raves
    : Rant: see above ;)

    Questions for the group:
Since that we're all "AMA" on this board, I'm wondering if that made things move for quickly for you with your RE, or if you had to really push for any sort of treatment?  Right now we're at blood tests, SA for H, and keep trying on your own.

GTKY:  what was the first concert you went to? Oh man, I can't remember!  I worked at a CD store when I was a teenager, so we got passes for concerts all the time.  Bush, Lilith Fair, Tragically Hip more times than I can count, RHCP.

What are you grateful for this week?
a slow work week so far.

  • @bakerstreetboys my RE was all for getting started. Is there another RE in your area that you could meet with in case this one is difficult in starting treatments.  My consult was 30 to 45 minutes with actual RE and as I mentioned before he didn’t do a whole lot of testing just one simple blood test and US which was done at consult appt.  My DH had an analysis done but they basically did it at first IUI there was no wasting time
  • @bakerstreetboys Get a 2nd opinion! Your RE should have sat with you for awhile to go over all courses of action for your situation. You want someone that really cares and wants to help. She should have set you up for blood tests and other exams to see if she could see if there was something else going on in your uterus, etc. Wish my doctor, we started out at least with test and doing an IUI cycle...with IUI's it was good to know how I responded to meds. But if you can go straight to IVF, I'd def do it! I wish I had when I first got started. But for sure, look up reviews online and see if there i another good RE in your area. You want to feel good and confident with your doctor :)

  • Thanks ladies.  We did get requisitions for SA for H, and blood tests, u/s, etc, but no talk of treatment of follow up appointments.  When I call to schedule day 3 testing, I'll ask about the next appointment and push the issue of treatment then.  Unfortunately, there's only one fertility clinic in my city; several doctors, but all in the same practice.  The one that we saw doesn't get good reviews for bedside manner on ratemymd, and she lived up to her reputation.
  • @bakerstreetboys Best of luck to you!! I also go to a clinic with several doctors. Can you request a certain one? I know people in mine usually will go to a certain one. But I will say, one of the doctors at my office is all business and not a great bedside manner either, but always has great results.

  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): waiting for FET

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD25 (not that it really matters but good to keep track I guess)

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): trying to remember to take my prenatals and vitamin D at least! Hard to keep at it since I feel like I'm on such a long hiatus from the IVF process

    Rants/Raves
: winter needs to leave. now.

    Questions for the group:
    none right now

GTKY:  what was the first concert you went to? U2 in Sacramento CA with Primus opening

What are you grateful for this week?
don't want to jinx anything but I think spring might show up this week?
    kristimh80
  • did you get that snow on sunday too @Momifbysea - I was like WTF? It's nice today and even warmer tomorrow.

Well hopefully I'm not jinxing myself here but I've been having more good days than bad so I'm hoping I'm starting to recover again.  I see an endochronogist tomorrow.  Looking forward to that - I'm sure she'll do blood work.  And I think my AF is starting - I had cramps this morning which I haven't had since before clomid.  So looks like my cycle is continuing to normalize.  I just can't do fertility drugs - my body doesn't want to hang with it lol.

  • @vlagrl29 just checking in. Realized I forgot to reply - yes we had gotten that snow, what's up with this? I move south and I want spring, dammit! :) But I think today will finally warm up. Am I missing something or is there no thread for last week or this week? Seems quiet and wondering how everyone is doing! I'm CD2 and it's starting to hit me that I will only need 1 more CD1 before I can call RE and get a treatment calendar going. Exciting and scary simultaneously...
  • One more thing for whoever is more tech savvy than me...so, I have always only used my mobile to access The Bump until like last week, and now I'm on the computer which is way better I see. I wanted to finally do a signature and as you can see I got that done but it's kind of obnoxiously long, and I noticed that others have their signatures hidden with a spoiler, which I like. So...how the heck do I do that? As if I didn't already feel old, being the oldest on this thread, being a tech dinosaur only rubs that in, LOL!
  • @Momifbysea Soooo, I have that spoiler siggy box but don't remember how to do it bc I'm old too! LOL! Just do a search in the "search box" for "spoiler box" and there should be a tutorial. That's what I did!
