Has anyone used/had any experience with the Ameda Finesse?
That one is free through my insurance (as is the Spectra S2) and I‘m intrigued because it comes with a lot more accessories. I can also upgrade to the S1 for $65, which I probably would.
I got the Spectra S2 today! Free with insurance, they will be checking doctor's information and such and when everything is confirmed they will ship it to me! One thing off the list...
Just to follow up...i recieved my Spectra S2 through Aeroflow today. They originally said they couldnt ship until May but I got an email 2 days ago that they shipped it out. I havent opened the box as I am not home but it seems to be ok.

Bringing this back up bc I am finally looking at pumps. I don't get a free pump, but my insurance reimburses me a certain amount for any pump up to $500, so I basically can pick anything I want. My SIL gave me a TON of medela bottles and extra new flanges(?) and stuff she had from her medela pump. However, it seems like the consensus is that Spectra is better. Does anyone know if there is a way to use the medela bottles with a spectra pump? I'm sure the flanges and whatnot aren't interchangeable, but maybe the bottles are? If not, is the spectra that much better that it would be worth it to not use all the stuff she gave me and buy all new stuff for a spectra? She gave me 2 (pampers diapers size) boxes of medela bottles/flanges/etc.
@moguippy yes, there is a way! You can get a converter/adapter on Amazon that allows you to use Medela parts with the Spectra pump. I have both pumps, and I do prefer the Spectra. Honestly in my opinion the only positive the Medela has over the Spectra is the parts are cheaper and easier to get, and I like the bottles better. But, the adapter you can buy for like $8 solves that.
@moguippy you just need the Long Stem backflow protectors or the $10 yellow adapter (both on Amazon) to use your Medela parts with a Spectra. I hated the Spectra kits, Phys I had Medela ones from when my boys were in NICU and I used them for 14m with the adapter!
I have a Spectra already that I purchased through my FSA at the end of the year because I knew I wasn't interested in the limited selection my insurance provides for electric pumps, but I was hoping for some recs on manual pumps because I think I'll pick up one of those through my insurance instead. Looks like my choices are Ameda or Evenflo. Anyone familiar with either for a manual?
