Trying to Get Pregnant

TTC #2 recovering from endometriosis

Hello Everyone!

I am in my TWW period and like most who are struggling to get that BFP, it feels like forever is passing. I am on my second cycle of Clomid 100mg ( I think, can't remember now). Prior to starting Clomid along with progesterone to help start my AF, I was on Lupron Depot to help rid my stage 4 severe Endometriosis. I received 2 injections each at 3 months for a total of 6 months on it. First cycle my ovulation was weak, progesterone levels were at a 2. Now on the second cycle they increased the climid and instead of using progesterone at the beginning of my cycle, I started it after my positive ovulation test. Has anyone else struggled with this after endometriosis? Currently at  8DPO having sore breasts and mild cramping that comes and goes, I did have some cervical mucus, but today it seems to be dry (sorry,TMI). According to my calendar I am 2 days away from AF. Are my symptoms pregnancy or PMS?? Any advice would be appreciated.  :)

Re: TTC #2 recovering from endometriosis

  • I want to add, been TTC 3 years. Had surgery Jan. 2017 to remove cysts and endometriosis(or what they could remove, didn't get it all until I started the Lupron).

  • Hi! I dont know what your first sentence says. Not asking to diagnose me. Looking for advice, similarities, their own stories.

No need to look into my uterus for that. Thanks

  • Doesn't clomid interfere with OPKS?
  • My doctor told me to track using the strips because once i got the positive ovulation, I needed to start the progesterone. I wasnt told they can interfere? I just checked my script and it is indeed 100mg. 50mg was my first cycle of clomid.

So my RE office had me in for midcycle ultrasounds to determine the size of my eggs and when I would likely ovulate based on size or when to trigger (I took femara).... your doctor is having you rely on opk strips which you aren't sure what they are doing and may be missing ovulation entirely and just up your meds each month??

Eta: opks detect a surge but that doesn't mean you are ovulating. You can have multiple surges each cycle as your body gears up to ovulate

Am I EVEN in the right group right now????? There have been too many one off posts today.

@jsmith8910 I'm not even sure what the story is behind why you are taking Clomid and what kind of doctor you are seeing that put you on Clomid, or if you have been diagnosed with IF issues or not, but please do not walk, but run to the nearest RE for monitoring.

Also, nobody can possibly know if you are having pregnancy symptoms since pms can cause that as well as the progesterone you are taking. We also cannot possibly know if this is pms for you since we don't know if you are charting, temping, etc. to see when your luteal phase might end. And yes, someone would have to be looking into your uterus to know what's going on.

Are you seeing a regular OB/GYN or an RE?

I believe the only ways to confirm ovulation are with ultrasound or temping. And yours is using progesterone levels and randomly doubling your Clomid. I would find a reproductive endocrinologist and not take anymore rounds of Clomid if I were you. A regular ob/gyn should not be prescribing Clomid.
