This was one of my favorite threads several months ago. Let’s bring it back this week!

What do you (or “your friend”) do that is likely above & beyond the regular POAS like it is going out of style crazy?

ETA: This thread has a general TW in that it may talk about baby names or hypothetical pregnancies. PLEASE still use discretion with sensitive topics & approrpiate TWs.

I frequently google things such as “cat more affectionate + pregnancy” or “cat less affectionate + pregnancy.”

I not only have googled different test sensitivities, I have dipped 3 different brands of HPTs at the same time.

“Countdowntopregnancy” website with symptoms by DPO is in my frequently visited sites.

Even though it is hocus-pocus, I like to put my legs up in the air following the sex.

@jrm_14 - I have done almost everything you said, except dipping multiple brands at the same time. I may have also googled, "Can you feel the egg dividing after conception" or "how soon do your boobs get bigger if you're pregnant"?

i also religiously stalk FF's charts like mine to see charts with my intercourse pattern and shorter luteal phase that end in pregnancy charts.

I even ask my cats and the magic 8 ball if they think I'm pregnant multiple times a day towards the end of the tww. For the record, my cats this month say no.

@jrm_14 I will sometimes put my legs in the air too, but only for like half a minute. I pretty much do almost a headstand. Pretty sure it's a yoga move. lol

I am obsessed with comparing pregnancy charts on FF to try to figure out if mine are like them and if I will get pregnant. I've even been doing it this cycle and I haven't even Od yet.

I convinced myself that this cycle will work for the stupidest reason. TW in spoiler - I mention my previous successful cycle and my ridiculous superstition.

When I had my IUI that resulted in DS, it was on a Saturday and near the end of the nurse's shift so the radio was on. The song "Best Song Ever" came on the station and my wife said "Seriously? We might conceive our firstborn child while One Direction is playing on the radio? This is the worst song!" and we had a good laugh. It worked so we've been calling it our conception song. I said we needed a new terrible song to conceive our next child with so in the waiting room yesterday I was thinking "All 4 One's 'I Swear' would be particularly awful. Maybe I should listen to it while I lay on the table after my IUI." Sure enough, as soon as the thought passed my mind, the song started playing on the intercom. I was quietly freaking out. Coincidence? Yes. Guarantee of a BFP? Absolutely not.

Oh, and I took my trigger shot on St. Patrick's Day so it was totally a lucky sign, right? And the stirrup covers on my exam table had 4 leaf clovers on them so... I'm totally KTFU now.

I also Googled "hidden follicles IUI" because I totally had all these super secret eggs that the nurse couldn't find via ultrasound, right? And my e2 levels were a mere 88 the day before trigger but surely they boomed overnight and I had more than 1 follicle ovulate. Sure, L. Sure.

@catlady2015 - HA! I had the insane thought that I felt the embryo dividing in my fallopian tube yesterday too. I swore I wouldn't let myself go nuts this cycle but I've already gone off the deep end. I may as well stew in it for the full 2 weeks because after this I won't TTC again until October/November.

So I do majority of these things..... my Google search history for the past months is ridiculous. I love SS. I can't help it. But I *so far* have abstained from POAS until AF is at least 5 days late.

@prpl11butterfly- i applaud your control! the day or two before AF, it's all over if I haven't started spotting. bring on ALL the pee sticks!

ETA: just realized you might do this b/c you don't want to see BFN's/worry about potential CP's. I totally get that, and I hope this wasn't insensitive! I apologize.

Welp I do all of these things, except my Google search is dogs more affectionate if ku.
Eta- also the good old fashioned - can dogs sense if you're ku, can they hear a heart beat. Because I'm Totes 2 weeks late even though AF 100% came.

I'm also always in denial that AF came until the new one comes, rinse, wash, repeat.

Also I dip both OPKs AND HPTs once I hit fertile week. "Just in case I can get more information from one or other other." When really I think it's just a POS addiction.

Also symptoms by DPO and EDD are also both in my top visited websites. Like... multiple times a day, with every little twinge. Plus the UK ectopic website. The total time I've read and reread that entire website is in the days at the this point and I could probably write a book.

1. dip multiple brands (sensitivities) at the same time and use the sharpie I have planted in the bathroom for this purpose to date and time stamp my tests...check!
2. google EVERY itch, hiccup, burp, strange smell, bad nights sleep, early fatigue on the treadmill and animal behaviors as SS...check!
3. Go to sites like countdowntopregnancy to post and vote , because I just love squinting at squinters...check!
4. begin poasing days before its possible for an embie to implant...check!
5. and occasionally poasing on cycles where I'm not even trying (because maybe I slipped up and got ktfu!)
6. Do every little thing that anyone has done just cause, hey, you never know (brazil nuts, pineapple core, pom juice, acupuncture, meditation, fertility yoga)
Anyway... this all sounds cray, but in truth I think all this activity keeps me from going LEGIT cray... its like babymaking busy work!!! You know what they say about idle hands!

@catlady2015 it's not because if my personal experience but a few coworkers I had in the past. 1 had several CPs and would always come in and tell us after POAS just to have to "untell" us a week later. And another had announced all over FB the day she did and then a week later.... Basically it comes down to not wanting to know if I have CP that early.

Semi related - I keep seeing everyhing as a sign I'll have twins next. 2 months ago, I was freaked the freak out by that. But now I kind of hope (don't tell anyone, IRL I'm in denial)...

@dragonette505 - I bought 5 8-ounce bottles of POM juice and as I loaded them up in my cart I thought "You do realize this isn't going to help right?" And then the other part of me thought "Shut up, it's on sale this week and it tastes good mixed with La Croix anyway so it doesn't hurt." I also have pineapple core in the freezer and I did fertility massage this month. So what? I love massages and pineapple so I may as well enjoy

yeah... its more for mental health... though pineapple core does have bromelain! But I already take a supplement with it so its probably just not needed LOL!

Oh my god, I SO needed this thread today.

-Yesterday I gave myself a tarot card reading that totally showed I was going to get pregnant this cycle (except I have no idea what I'm doing AND I disregarded the first two readings which showed negative results, haha.)
-On my lunchtime walks everything has been so green and beautiful and I decided that was the universe showing me, personally, a sign of fertility for this month. Except, you know, IT'S SPRING and that's why everything is green.
-Every single rainbow I see is a sign just for me personally of course.

Also, @prpl11butterfly re: the twins thing, **TW loss mentioned** I keep feeling like I'm going to get pregnant with twins, since I had two miscarriages, like the universe paying me back. I 100% know it doesn't work that way but I swear I have convinced myself. end TW***

@jrm_14 I also do the legs up in the air after sex. DH is always like "um I think you can put your legs down now... it's been more than 15 minutes."
@galactickates I've been obsessively checking the December board since it was up!
@wishiwaspreggo DH thinks I'm crazy with how much POM juice I drink. I add it to everything! My water, my oj, my alcoholic drinks. I bought so much of it when it was on sale at Costco too. Our downstairs fridge is now just storage for POM juice.

Oh, forgot to mention that Normal Me is scientific and rational but TWW Me totes believes that dreams are prophetic. I had an incredibly vivid dream last night where I **TW (dream) BFP mentioned** got a BFP, told my husband, told my mom, and I can literally still see the test in my mind and the really dark two lines. OBVS A SIGN, GUYS. **end TW**

Also, now I really want to run to the grocery store and stock up on pom juice.

I keep opening FF (probably like a dozen times today) to stare at my chart like it's suddenly going to say "oh, wait, we were wrong and you did ovulate! And on top of that, your timing was impeccable". No, I didn't O. I'm not going to O. I've accepted that and am anxiously awaiting AF (maybe the 30th, maybe not....). So why do I keep looking?!

I’ve done almost all of these things… @catlady2015 I even had a magic 8 ball app on my phone (for some reason unrelated to TTC) and I kept asking it if I was going to get KU month after month. One month it kept telling me NO so I got mad and deleted it off my phone. Screw you magic 8 ball!

The one thing I hadn’t heard of was the pineapple core. Coincidentally I bought a pineapple this weekend so it’s tots a sign I’m going to get KU this month! I mean come on, what are the odds of me buying a pineapple?! I never go grocery shopping. This is totally my body craving what it needs to get KU!

@maureenmce I don't know how I missed you twin comment.... TW** living children, loss, cancer* mentioned

So about a month after we found out we were expecting DS my dad was diagnosed with larengeal cancer. About another month later he informed me we were having a boy. He was dead certain because he'd had a vision. Not a dream, a legit vision, of someone going over to their house and asking "whose baby is that" and he responded "that's my grandson". Well when we found out, he wasn't even remotely shocked or surprised he was right. He knew. No questions. So not fast forward to before our MC, months before. Before my mom even knew we were trying. He's saying twins. I'm a little paranoid. I don't want twins. I find out in Jan we are preg. We find out MMC on Feb 28. 1 baby. Well, now that must be because we are going to have twins.

Everytime I see cardinals, I think of my aunt. She sends them to me, ever since her passing. A couple of weeks ago, 2 males fly across my path while driving home. Twins. She was also a big CB radio fan. Her name handle (similar to SN) was Tiny Bubbles. Everytime we wash dishes by hand and the tittle bubbles pop up and float out of the bottle, I think of her. The other night, 2 conjoined bubbles float up and hover over me and DH. Just 2. No more, no less. 2 bubbles. Twins.

@prpl11butterfly Lol! That was one of my thoughts last night when I was severely cramping. I googled "heavy cramping 2dpiui" and all kinds of things popped up about twins. Then I started googling if people can feel an egg dividing. It was ridic. Then I freaked out about that. And the cycle repeated itself of thoughts of things that require a tw.

Team I think I'm going to have twins. I had my palm read when I was a kid by a friend of my stepmom and she told me that I would have 3 kids and we are certain we're done if we have 2, so obviously I'm going to get KU with twins. She also told me that I would get divorced twice and re-marry my first husband, but that part of the reading isn't significant, obviously.
