@lest12 - Probably because in the original version of Frozen, Hans wasn't intended to be a bad guy, but they changed it later when they decided that Elsa wouldn't be the "bad guy."

@stithof yeah the ginger one. I actually have a really long rant about how he’s the only “surprise” villain in a Disney princess movie, and the only reason no one suspects him is because he looks so white. The vast majority of Disney villains look Jewish, except for a couple who belong to other minorities. The only exception I’m aware of is Cruella de Ville, and even there they manage to sneak in plenty of sexism. So, of course no one expected Hans to be a bad guy. He looks like how Disney draws all their “good” characters; namely, waspy AF.

I have also never seen Frozen... or Moana or pretty much any of the newer Disney movies. My kids weren’t into them - they liked Harry Potter and now are obsessed with Star Wars.

I have at least seen parts of Moana at a kid’s birthday party... but it was very little. We had a book so I know the basic story (got it because stickers! My kids are also obsessed with stickers).

DS loooooves Moana. It’s the music primarily - any time it’s a musical number he is totally transfixed. Then he loses interest until the next song, haha. But it is a great movie, and I’m not really a Disney movie type of person.
