I was actually productive at work today- which is surprising, since I had maybe 4 hours of sleep last night (and they were not consecutive). But now I'm catching up- future me's problem is all of the other reporting I didn't get to today.
+1 to my toddler basically being an animal. My office is dog friendly and she reminds me of each of the dogs that visit the office in many ways. My cats are better about sleeping than she is though- so if she could become more cat and less dog that would be awesome!
On the car seat cover ups- DD was a winter baby so we had the thick car seat covers (and I will keep this LO in the infant seat throughout next winter since coats and car seats are not good travel buddies). Britax apparently also makes one for sun and bugs that is mesh to allow for air flow. With DD we only used them to cover her in the cold and to briefly keep the sun out of her eyes (baby sunglasses are adorable, but she was old enough to take them off- and chew on them). I guess the bug protection would be good for walks at the park, but I can't imagine taking my kids anywhere that would be buggy (but that could be because I don't like being eaten alive myself).
@LaceyBee522 as someone who lived in Astoria for almost a decade I completely get it. There is just something so convenient about living in the city. Good luck on the apartment hunt- NYC apartment hunting was always worse than when we were house hunting here.
Have a wonderful weekend ladies- and happy sober St. Paddy's Day- and hopefully many wonderful naps for all of us (that's my weekend plan anyway).
@kmurdock925 yeah it needs to be almost instantaneous especially for new behaviors. That's usually the downfall for a lot of people who try clicker training.

@krashke - when the time comes, if we haven’t gone to FB or another more private platform, I will have to figure out some way to let the regs from here that are on BirthTUBE know it’s me. Since I will obviously be streaming with my real name and don’t want everyone in the bump figuring that out.
ETA - a discreet way to let the regs here know. I don’t want to send out a firework announcement to all the randoms on here.
For my Friday night entertainment, I’m forcing my toddler to watch Moana with me (she keeps asking for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse instead) and I think I’m a little to emotional for this movie!
Spent the vast majority of the day getting lost in CD groups, blogs, and websites. I really need to start buying my stash but for some reason am struggling to pull the trigger on brands. Too many options!!
In other news, I got the job!!!! Turns out getting hired in your third trimester isn't as hard as I thought it would be!

@burlapandlace That is very cool that you’re going to live stream the birth! And thanks for sharing that post natal advice. I never thought of it as a wound, but it makes total sense.
I feel you on the too many brands of CDs. I went with Bum Genius because at the time they had a great resale value (now not so much) but I have no complaints with them.
@dinodna3 bumgenius is on my list. I'm planning on my stash being half AIOs for lazy days and babysitters and half AI2s for money and time saving reasons. I'm still in the "but which brand is best" phase when I know I need to just get a few from several brands and see what works best for us.

@Amphibious22 It looks like the only local store that sells CDs is in Scottsdale but it may be nice to take a trip there and try out the options they carry.
@dinodna3 BG doesn't have good resale anymore? I've had 18 BG Elementals since 2014 and another 12 or so I picked up in 2016 for baby #2. I didn't buy them with hopes of recouping lots of money at resale but I have been curious if they'll have any value after being used for 3 babies over multiple years. The oldest ones I have are still working great (snaps and elastics are in great condition) but the cotton inner layers are ripped and getting holes.
@Llamamama I bought in 2014 too when they were reselling at top dollar. I think you can still sell them the market is just cooled down quite a bit. I haven’t sold mine but I know a bunch of my fellow s14 mamas who resold and had a harder time unloading non-prints.
i just found and put in a request to join birthtube. i'm scared. i've seen births videos before. Its the whole getting so close to may/baby thing that i think will make me more nervous to watch.. ya know, incase csection quickly doesn't happen. But curiosity got to me!

@2589 I love Moana. And Tangled. And Frozen. FTM with this one so I'm not burnt out on them like I'm sure some must be.
