@catlady1215 awesome news! You must be so relieved!
@MissKittyDanger I did a 3/ 4d at 24+6 and it was great! With that said, they do recommend best views between 26-38 wks as they are more filled out and less alien like. For me, they told me it would be best not to expect much after 33 weeks because I've got an anterior placenta and his face would be smushed into it so not to bother at that point. Just something to consider if you have an anterior placenta. Overall it was really neat and we look at the pictures and daydream everyday because it gives you an idea of what they'll look like!
Y'all I did a little browsing at Old Navy and I only found one thing I kinda wanted. I feel like their selection is lacking. I guess I really didn't need anything.

Y'all that skirt/crop top combo from Sexy Mama Maternity arrived, and it's really cute! I'll try to remember to post a pic of me in it tomorrow for HDBD. But I wanted to let you all know, they're super soft and stretchy and comfy! So if you were debating ordering anything from them, I would say do it. Really cozy. (But skew toward dark colors unless you're a workout fiend because I think the lighter colors would show more things like cellulite, etc.).
@izza2 ~ ditto on the excitement to meet these babies! (But also to echo what @krashke said, they all need to sit tight and not try any early exists - you hear me babies?!). As the third trimester is here or rapidly approaching for us all, and showers are starting to happen, it is all starting to feel really real and I’m definitely getting excited
@krashke ugh I love the color combo she chose. I was debating that one, but I worried that maybe the light colors wouldn't be as flattering. But the darker colors don't show my bump as much sooooo derp derp.
I was stalking my online patient profile for the results of my 1 hour GD test. Happy to report that I passed!
But I was looking at my chart and it goes back through my pregnancy with DS. At my appointment last week, I had gained a solid 10 pounds more than at the same point last pregnancy so there's that...
@katelynrae86 my patient portal doesn't tell me jack shit about my weight. They also don't even tell me it or comment on it at all so IDK. It feels like they just have me stand on the scale for a bit and then roughly guess what it is instead of really trying to get the little... (uhh... IDK what they're called? the things you move back and forth?) things perfect.
@2589 at this point I just want an actual skull theory expert or ramzi expert to raise their hand and show us all how the fuck it works because I DO NOT GET THE POINT
It definitely is starting to feel more real now that all of us are getting further along. I'm super excited to hear everyone's stories too! Really hope none of y'all are creepers though I get nervous about the idea of posting public pics of DD online which is why I don't get why people would be all excited for a fb group so early.
Made a Target trip today (spent less than $100 so that's a win LOL) and got a new bra because these knockers are getting ridiculous and also a comfy maternity tee. Felt really sad seeing how nice and big the new (regular) clothing section is there now and how tiny the maternity section was. I'm sure I could've found stuff that would've worked in the regular section but I wasn't really trying to shop for stuff that I didn't need so I was good haha.
@catlady1215 good news!! Fx cross the final results just show false alarm!
I need to check out those threads. Kudos to you @2589 for finding them!
@doxiemoxie212 that dress is super cute. I don't think I could pull it off though.
I'm probably going to need more maternity pants/shorts in a few months... feels dumb in case we're done with kids after this LO but eh... I could probably sell them.
Anyone else watch This Is Us tonight? Don’t worry no spoilers but I have so many questions. Also when it comes back we will all have new little ones! Crazy!

@aharv77 Good luck this morning! Agree with everyone else - it's a feather in your cap whatever happens. And I would just acknowledge the upcoming maternity leave right up front. Not only does it come off as very self-aware and considerate, but in my experience mentioning your pregnancy makes all employers nervous about NOT giving you the bonus / raise / promotion (as it should!).
How do so many of you successfully keep up with the other BMBs?! I struggle to stay half on top of this one. Regardless, thank you for sharing the gems with us. If there's a board you recommend for extra good birth stories, let us know.
@katelynrae86 This is a self-serving thought as I'm already at the low end of recommended weight gain at 25 weeks but I wonder if the timing of this pregnancy has disadvantaged us on that front. Like, we've had to cover Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, girl scout cookie season -- and it's been cold and uninviting for outdoor workouts the whole time so far. Just an excuse thought...
@izza2 Would love to know your list. Lol! How are you doing, btw? I know you said this would be a tough week for you.
AFM, I'm fine with Facebook whenever. I am not particularly concerned about anyone in a mom group going coco-loco, but if that happens, I'm not afraid to block anyone either. Maybe I'm just not that private of a person and MH is super public on social media, so I'm just kind of used to it.
@aharv77 I agree with others - go for it! I would say it is easier to discuss it now when you're there and working hard than to have the same convo when you get back from maternity leave. Do you know what I mean? GL with your meeting today!
@2589 that wheelchair story just scared the isht out of me. Haha. I'm so glad her baby is ok. I am really starting to realize I'm terrified to give birth. I will probably be one of those women on the way to the hospital crying saying "I don't know if I can do this"
In my last BMB, we had a girl who went early (35 weeks) and gave birth on the floor of the ER. It was super scary (everyone was okay). My biggest fear is not making it to the hospital after my 45 minute active labor last time.
OMG that wheelchair story is crazy! Also how could they not give her some type of topical for the stitches. Usually when you have a med-free birth they still offer topical to do the stitches and our Bradley instructor was like "take the topical, trust me!" They should have had time at that point.

I have another super busy day at work (and today is Wednesday not Thursday, which is very disappointing). I should be working right now, but here I am procrastinating/ mentally unable to function. @emiliadkay I am with you- barely able to keep up with this board right now- but itching to start reading the April Birth Stories... I can't believe it's almost our time.
@aharv77 good luck today! I know MH had a promotion that became available while one of his employees was on maternity leave and it was a problem for him, because he couldn't interview her while she was on leave (legally she was on leave so was unavailable for anything work related). He was able to promote 2 people, but had to fight for the second promotion. Having the conversation now is great timing for you- good luck!
@izza2 I'm also curious about your list and hope you and your family are doing okay this week.
@amys614 On the way to the hospital you will probably just be thinking "Get this kid out of me". MH was thinking "I thought we still had 2 weeks" on our way there... I just wanted labor to be over. Around a month postpartum I was thinking that I wasn't ready for this- how did this happen, but that thought passes (and comes back, and passes multiple time) as the babes grow. I promise if I can be a mom (I'm always saying how bad I am at adulting) you can do it too.
For FB I am with the group that is not overly concerned about the crazy- factor. I am assuming we will have some sort of screening process (the questions, the love its, ect are all good options as far as I can see- would like to avoid the crazy requirements of that other mom post from forever ago though )
OK- now to really start working... probably see you all in 15 minutes.
-aah I need to check out this wheelchair story! I never look at other months. I'm legit afraid of something like that based on how quickly I had my first and that I want to stay at home for as long as possible.
-on an unrelated note...I couldn't care less who delivers my baby (my doc didn't make it for the birth of my first). DH doesn't really want to go to the hospital my doc goes to again...it is a very nice hospital, super ratings, great nicu, etc- but the postpartum rooms aren't as big/nice as another local hospital, they majorly messed up our billing last time around, and he drove ambulances in college and went there a lot and just gets the heebie jeebies being there. The hospital that we would prefer is about an equal distance away, my friend is a L&D nurse there, rooms are awesome-sauce, etc...my doc just isn't in network there. Again- I have no problem going there...except I feel like it will create chaos just showing up at go-time and I feel weird like I'm telling some major lie and then I would feel weird with my doc at my 6 week check-up, etc. Does anyone have experience with going to a hospital that isn't "yours"? Is it a big deal? DH has said that if he is driving that is where we will end up, haha
St Patty's Day is a Saturday and not only will I not be able to go out and drink green beer and act a fool but MH will be out of town so I will probably just be on the couch watching The Luck Of The Irish.

Ugh, I just read the April birth stories. The first one needs a more specific trigger warning. I didn't realize it was pre-term twins until I was too far in. I cannot deal with that isht right now.
I feel for the woman who delivered in the wheelchair. It sounds like no one was listening to her! Crazy how fast she dilated, though.
@2589 Oh, girl - don't worry about it. Not your fault! I should probably be reading more stories like that to desensitize myself. Just carrying a lot of worry about nicu/early labor right now.
@kmurdock925 A few thoughts - is Hospital No. 2 in your network? If not, it could cost more to deliver there. Second, the last thing you want to do is deal with too much paperwork when you arrive. I have to pre-register at my hospital so they can just get me to a room. Can you do that? Three, I have to fill out paperwork for my hospital (authorizing care and a health care proxy on the hospital's form), can you fill that paperwork out before hand? Four, does hospital two have your records? Like, strep b? blood type? etc?
I'm between two hospitals (the one I delivered DS at, which has the best facilities) and a closer hospital. My doctor only delivers at the first, but my practice delivers at both. I ended up selecting the first as my hospital of choice, with the caveat that I'm going to hospital two if labor is progressing faster then expected. I'm already registered at hospital two and they have all my records.
Ultimately, I don't think the second hospital would turn you away if you just showed up, but logistically, it would make it so much easier if you could get the paperwork done before hand, as well as provide a copy of your records.
@sunshineandwhiskey my mom and I were having a similar conversation this past weekend re: wanting a csection. There are many reasons I'd like to experience a vaginal birth, none of them being the baby actually coming out of my vagina, but all the moments after, etc. However, based on the fear, I told her I would not be mad at the idea of needing a c section either. Pros and cons to both, but that fear puts me way more on the fence than what is probably normal for most
@amys614 yes exactly! I feel the same way actually. I would like to experience the lead up, and the after of a vaginal birth, but the fear is absolutely terrifying to me. And (UO probably) I was NOT disappointed with DD that she was breech and I had to have a csection.

@krashke I'm so glad you mention that because I've been considering med free, but the one thing I kept worrying about was what if I needed stitches. I didn't even think about them giving me something topical to take the edge off
