I'm 7weeks and 6 days. Someone used the word "sour stomach" and that is 100% on for me. I am starving but everything sounds awful but I have SO MANY CRAVINGS. Jimmy Johns, KFC, crap crap crap. But I tried to make pasta and sauce last night and I could not get it down. My husband went and got me fried chicken . I am exhausted and have no energy and although I love my job, I just don't wanna. I'm also feeling like a neglectful mom! Lots of TV on these days and my toddler got so frustrated at my discracted-ness yesterday she started asking for her babysitter!!! SIGH. Last pregnancy I didn't even get sick till 8 weeks so I'm scared.
DH had to wake up at 2:30 for work and I couldn't fall back asleep. I had a headache and was having some cramping. The cramping of course made my mind wander and then it was even harder to sleep. I finally fell asleep, but woke up with the headache and cramping still. I'm just cranky today. My empathy meter is significantly low, which isn't good as I review benefits claims...
According to my LMP I'm 7w 6d! My first apt isnt until the 22nd though so I won't find out for sure until then. Currently I'm dealing with terrible nausea and fatigue. My breasts are swollen and painful too. Wearing a nice sports bra helps. TMI but I know we all deal with it at some point, fluctuating constipation and then the runs. It doesn't help I've been diagnosed with IBS so I'm sure its making that stuff 10x worse than it should be. And my dreams are absolutely nuts! I can't stop dreaming of my s/o leaving me and going to the bathroom to wipe blood. I wake up in sweats sometimes anyways those are my symptoms this week and seeing from everyone else's posts here I'm not alone one bit. We got this ladies!!
8w2d - nauseous and exhausted ALL THE TIME! Literally! Not an awake moment goes by where I don’t feel like hell. I almost with I was puking because I might feel relief rather than just feel the urge always.
8+4... nausea has pretty much vanished except for mornings which is great! I can finally eat! For the last week I’ve been having what sure as hell sounds like round ligament pain. But both google and I feel like it’s way too early!! I’ll ask about it at my appointment today to make sure that’s what it is but any other FTMs notice it so soon? @indias95 I’m with you on the crazy dreams!! My first US is today and last night I dreamt when we saw the baby on the US screen it had a creepy white bloody clown face with a huge mouth full of teeth filed into sharp points. The baby opened its mouth really wide, showed it’s teeth and growled terrifyingly. I’m not even scared of clowns. WTAF

I was somewhere in my 6th week when I occasionally started getting twingy, sharp pains in my pelvis- primarily on the right side, and primarily when I would stand up. Since they were off center and came and went, I mentioned it at my first appointment, but wasn’t too worried about it. The LPN didn’t even blink about it- almost as if it was so minor it wasn’t worth discussing (if that makes sense).
The pains I am getting now (10w6d) are similarly placed, but significantly stronger- still primarily when I go from a sitting to a standing position.
@jynjer91@knottieamusements I also get those sharp stretchy pains, usually right of center, and also primarily when I stand up too fast, cough or sneeze at a weird angle, or sometimes reaching for something too quickly. I'm just shy of 10 weeks but it's been happening for several weeks. I'm assuming that's what it is. I just associated it with growing so wasn't too worried about it. Let us know if your doc has any comments!
Just about 7 weeks. And I feel fucking terrible. Not just sick, but like hateful.DS has watched way too much TV this week, and has barely gone outside because I can barely get off the couch. Doing my best, but pregnancy is NOT a good look on me.
@mamabearcj the past two days I have had headaches and so far only medicated for the one last night so I could sleep. But ha! sleep wasn't the best. My hip and neck are bugging me today. Not sure if I slept weird or if pregnancy. I am 10w2d. edit to add my weeks along
The bloating and food aversion is intense this week! Finally getting some relief from the nausea and exhaustion this week, but it’s still there. ETA: I’m 8w6d today.
Ha forgot that I have been forgetful. I went to take laundry outside in 40 degree weather instead of the basement to wash it. Made it part way out the door before it clicked (no jacket, no shoes). Sore boobs and tired. I have been doing a good job staying up until our normal bed time but I do sleep in some mornings. I did crash at like 2-3 hours earlier than normal two nights ago! I just couldn't do it! Darn time change!
@indias95 my first app is the 22nd too!! Hope everything goes well and we're right where we hope we are!
@SweetSweetTooth I had a horrible headache yesterday and finally caved to take Tylenol which didn't even touch it.. I was up until 3am because no matter how I laid it felt like it was just getting worse and worse.. I woke up and still have it though it is more dull than last night I'm just a blob today..
oh no! sorry to hear the Tylenol didn't help! Thankfully it worked yesterday for me. Mine is mostly gone without taking anything but trying to stay hydrated as I think that isn't helping or may be the cause. other than making lunch and thawing fish for dinner I have done nothing productive today and what is worse, I feel bad about it and DH has had a stressful week at work already. nothing like coming home to nothing done.
I am actually starting to feel better. Less nausea, constipation seems to be lessening... so if course now I’m worrying about it. Glad to see some other ladies starting to feel better this early. Maybe we’re all just lucky.
Other than that, still have sore breasts, still tired and started getting cravings and eating more. Also RLP is here.. can’t sneeze, get up too fast, turn quickly... basically any quick movement hurts. Baby brain is also starting to hit me. I saw the new menu for my favorite restaurant and they have a meatball pizza with mozzarella, ricotta and wax paper. The chef likes to do unusual things, but I could not figure out why he put wax paper on his pizza. Maybe he cooked the pizza on wax paper? But why? And why tell everybody? And for 5 minutes I was trying to figure it out until I realized it was wax pepper.
EDIT formatting. For some reason when I posted it became one huge paragraph.
9 weeks! Food aversions are killing me! It’s so hard to pack a lunch for work when literally nothing sounds good but you know if you don’t eat you will get sick!
The nausea and puking has gotten slowly worse over the last week. Tonight was the first time I actually threw up after eating. My wonderful hubby brought me home Starburst Jellybeans after a rough day. Baby apparently didn't like them as much as me...
@concreteayngel That sounds exactly how I feel now at 7w2d. I just hate everything and everyone. Not a good look indeed. Did you feel it with DS? I'm a FTM. Hoping I get less pissy soon.
Age 32, FTM, cis-hetero, married since 11-2016. Love is love is love is love.
@legalmamanyc Not as bad with my first. I was working then, and that helped keep my mind off how terrible I felt. Now I have DS to think about, and some days making sure his basic needs are met saps every last bit of energy and patience I've got left. The second tri gets so much better. Just gotta hang in there til then.
I'm right in the middle of week 7 and my symptoms have basically vanished, which of course like so many others is making me anxious. I'm so ready for my first u/s appointment just to make sure that as of that day everything is as it should be (hopefully).
Ugh 11 w and now feel like my stomach is flatter, feeling better and less tired which I know is good and I am getting closer to 2nd tri but makes me so nervous. Like I have a lime in there, where is it hiding? Can't wait for my scan next week b/c I am super anxious.
Not sure how this is possible but I am losing weight! Since I got my BFP I have lost 6 lbs. Should I be concerned about this? I am a bigger girl and have lost 25 lbs over the last two years while TTGP, so I'm happy about it! I guess I just thought it would swing the other way once I was pregnant. Especially since I have been eating all the bad things! I have my first OB apt on the 24th and will ask her then, but figured some of you STM might have some similar experiences to help ease my mind.

Hard to explain but laying in bed last night and I felt just heavy? Mostly in my upper abdomen and not necessarily bloated feeling either just heavy and almost full ish? It was so uncomfortable any way I moved and took me forever to finally fall asleep..
I’m 10w 6d... the feeling of a constant “hangover” is starting to ease up but my belly still gets upset in the evenings. The heartburn WILL NOT LET UP AT ALL. Soooooo sick of heartburn.
I am also super forgetful! DH says I leave lights on and doors open like it’s my job haha. Last week I left the garage door open as well as the door from our house to the garage and our dog decided to take herself for a stroll around the neighborhood.. thankfully a kind neighbor returned her. Oooooops.
@mamabearcj - I sort of know what you mean. For me, it is that when I lie on my side, I feel like my belly is sliding out of place. I usually don’t feel fat, even though I am overweight, but that sensation definitely makes me wish I was about 40lbs lighter when I started this...
Also- where did my waist go? I have an hourglass figure, dern it!
@chyvie - losing weight early in pregnancy is not unusual at all! Most people don't really start to gain until the second tri. I'm down about ten pounds, and I was a pretty healthy weight already.
@lynzev - I'm with you. I still have waves of nausea, but mostly I just want to eat everything in sight, which is a dramatic change from all my food aversions last week. I don't understand, but I know symptoms are not true indicators of the health of a pregnancy!
***TW*** DD born April 2015 after many rounds of IVF and losses.
@knottieamusements yeah I did notice it more switching side to side, I haven't noticed it since waking up and I'm hoping it doesn't become a recurring sensation as it was just really odd..
Has anyone else had their hair change? Like I have a patch of hair in the back that gets all clumpy and weird r. I'm probably going to have to change shampoos again. I usually use 2-1 stuff to save time.
@chyvie I’ve lost 12 lb. but I think I’ve gained one or 2 back since I’ve started eating some again. My mom had 3 kids and said she always lost weight in the beginning from being sick. So I’m not too worried...especially since I’ve stopped losing now. Those lb needed to go anyway!
@coffee-saur My hair too!!! It is parched and my scalp has changed. Not for the better!! Warning this is gross... My whole head feels dry and itchy and my scalp is starting to get flaky too. Idk if it’s dandruff or dry skin or what but omg its gross. (leaves for vomit break) I started taking omegas so hopefully that helps. Any “home remedies” that actually work? I’d rather stay away from head and shoulders because it stinks and has to have a ton of chemicals I shouldn’t use right now.
@jynjer91 and @muchwanted thanks for the words of support. I don't have MS and eating the same if not more and much more unhealthy. I also feel like I'm bloated and my boobs are bigger, so not sure maybe the scale is lying! LOL

@jynjer91 This might sound weird, but take a fingernail and kind of scrape across your scalp. If the flakes all kind of clump together under your nail and seem a bit oily or yellowish, it’s dandruff. If they seem lighter, it’s dry skin.
If it’s dry skin, you can try conditioning closer to your scalp. If it’s dandruff, clarifying shampoo might help it. Just make sure to condition your hair really well after you use it because the clarifying shampoos frequently strip your hair of everything good and can dry it out. Baking soda can also help with dandruff, but it isn’t great for your hair either, so use it only when you need it & condition really well too. It might sting when you rub it into your scalp in some spots. It isn’t a big deal, just a raw spot on your scalp from the dandruff and scratching your head.
I called my dr about throwing up so frequently. He had me come in to check on me. He doesn't think I'm dehydrated since I'm urinating frequently and drinking lots of water. However, he did order some blood work today. Next week I have my first ultrasound and some other blood work. He wants me to do the GD glucose test next week, the office manager was kinda surprised because I'm under 30. But, I guess get it out of the way now...
@sammierose464 Fair warning that’s it’s probably not getting it out of the way. They’ll probably make you re-do it mid pregnancy anyways. I moved mid pregnancy last time so my original OB wanted to make sure I’d taken the test before I left even though it was a couple weeks before the recommended time frame. My new OB made me retake it because apparently there’s something special about that 24-28 week timeframe. Though honestly, I didn’t find the test nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.
@chyvie I've lost weight too. I've definitely been eating healthier, but I think the biggest switch was cutting out the alcohol. Not sure how much of a drinker you were before, but for me, I'm confident that is the prime weight loss factor (empty calories plus drunk food binge plus hangover food binge all gone).

Good to know! I'm more nervous that it's going to make me puke. I've been treated for insulin resistance for 3 years, but my numbers have looked good since then. So I'm hoping it's not bad.
I've gained about 5lb, which is probably more than I should at this time. I'm hoping once I start to feel better I can work out again.
Re: Symptoms Week of 3/12
So exhausted all the time. I think the nausea has subsided a bit thankfully. Now I am super thirsty, I’m hoping that isn’t a sign of GD again.
