@krashke I saw that! What the cuss? Given the creeper drama the Aug BMB had, I am still hesitant to head to FB and we've been doing this since October!
@kfren agreed! I'm in no hurry! I agree with what a few people mentioned like why would you come to TB just to ask people to join an FB group. There are plenty of FB groups already, just join one of those. As a matter of fact a woman I barely know added me to a mommy group, they're not hard to find. I was like "Yeah no. I don't know any of you. Peace out."

@krashke@kfren - Every time a FB group comes up, I go through everyone on our board that I see and think to myself whether I think they're potential FB-crazies (you know; okay on TB, but crazy once you move to FB), or if I think they're 100% okay. I have like a running list of people I feel that I know the best and are mentally stable, and then a running list of people that I feel will eventually freak out on us.
I would feel far more comfortable moving somewhere like a private board or proboards.. I like the anonymity that the message board provides. I mean I like the idea of fb because it's user friendly for the most part but... yeah.. I dunno. I never joined fb with my first bmb either. I did move to the private board though.
@izza2 omg I'm so curious to hear your list. I mean for obvious reasons probably don't share, but still curious.
AFM I promised MH that I would be productive and go grocery shopping today but I'm so wiped I don't even want to make breakfast. We'll see how this day progresses.

@izza2 Ha! @sabby2 Yup. I am pro-private board maybe here in the next few weeks, and then maybe FB after some babes are born. Thinking about going through FB now and seeing what I need to privatize further.
My fb is locked down pretty tightly just in case my bio dad ever tries to find me. But I'm also more relaxed in general with adding people on my friends list because what are they going to do, really? I have family members who are creepier than most internet stalkers lol
Is it unrealistic to discuss a promotion with your boss less than 12 weeks before maternity leave?
Long story short, I was in a meeting today where directive was given to expand my department by one more person ASAP. I am currently the only person in my department and it was newly created when I took this job. I've been clear with my boss that I want to take on a leadership role in my area when that time comes. It appears that the time might be now. I don't want to let the opportunity pass by while we're discussing the future of my area. I just don't know if it seems silly to have the discussion about moving me to the next level when I'm about to head out in 12 weeks or potentially less.
@aharv77 not unrealistic, IMO. In my experience, at most of the PR agencies I've worked at, women seem to literally always get promoted right before maternity leave. I think it was a way of the agency trying to ensure they really would come back since their pay would be higher, etc. And even if it is unrealistic at your company, it shouldn't be, and you should advocate for yourself!
@doxiemoxie212@stephcat421 Thanks ladies! I think I'd be kicking myself if I didn't. I have a pretty good working relationship with my leader so at the very least, it'll just be another opportunity to make it clear that this is what I want even if nothing comes of it right now.
@aharv77 - Go for it, definitely! Even if they don't promote you, like you said - they know that you're serious about your position and wanting to move up in the company! I've already talked to my work place about moving to my new position before going on mat leave. They loved that I was interested in starting before giving birth, and are happy to have me start as soon as I get my diploma. So, definitely worth a try!
@sabby2 We're on the midnight Motrin train here with out toddler.
+1 to mom is a teacher so she'll be around to help this summer.
+1 to psyched to lose the baby weight... I'm not going going to go too crazy, though. I found my body shed the weight quickly with my first but with my 2nd no matter what I did I retained an extra 10 lbs until I weaned. Once I weaned the last 10 lbs came off pretty quickly.
I'm psyched about buying some real clothes. I've been pregnant/nursing continuously for 4 years at this point and haven't invested much in my wardrobe because I knew I was in a season of back and forth/ body changes.
@Llamamama I'm not pushing myself to lose weight asap, but it'll be nice to have personal control over weight and body again lol
+ 1 to wardrobe! I'm gonna be a maxi skirt and maxi dress kinda summer, but I typically wear loose fitted tops. I may convince myself to buy myself something once I'm comfortable in how I look ... maybe at least another pair of shorts.
I'm kinda super excited to not worry about wearing a band around the belly or worry about back pain lol
@Llamamama I’ve been either pregnant/nursing/both for 4 years too. I know it’s going to be another year or so before I complete get my body back but I’m so looking forward to it. Although, I’m afraid of what my boobs will look like when in totally done nursing.
I think I'm having an over-emotional moment, but I'm sitting here thinking about how excited I am to meet everyone's LO's (including mine, of course) and I'm like crying because hormones.
@izza2 those first pictures and birth stories are going to be so beautiful! I can't wait! Well I can wait because all these LO's need to keep cooking as long as possible. But I'm so excited!
I am holding back the urge to buy more maternity clothes on Old Navy. They are having 40% off (ends today I believe) but I don't need anything right now. I am currently waiting on an order from Gap (when they had 40% off last week) and PinkBlush. I keep justifying it with the fact that this is my first and I will likely have more so I can use them again.

@krashke MH cut me off from buying more maternity clothes. I went a little overboard to be fair, but I just want more! Like you telling me about the sale at old Navy has got me itching to check it out. And I justify it the same way as you. But also I'm not working so I need more clothes since I don't wear a uniform everyday anymore.

@krashke@Amphibious22 - I have the opposite problems - H keeps pushing me to buy clothes, and I keep pushing back. I hate buying myself clothes. Usually it's because I don't want to spend money on something I won't be able to wear forever, but also because I would rather spend the money on other things like my cravings.
@becca_123 - I get emotional if it's someone I know from TTGP/BOTB, but otherwise I'm usually just like "aw, that's cute/that sucks!" etc. But I already know I'll be balling when we start having our own birth stories and announcements. H will probably want to have me committed because it'll be so bad.
Update on DS and the cardiac eval today. Ekg showed a larger chamber? Or something. They did an echo today and no concerns on the preliminary results. Final results will take a couple days but dr said he's almost positive it's all clear and was a false positive! Woohoo!

@MissKittyDanger We did one with both kids. It’s crazy how much they looked like their ultrasounds pictures at birth. We did them at a place that specializes in them and had a good experience at both places.
@misskittydanger I've had techs turn on the 3D in late pregnancy with DS. And she did today also. I love seeing it but it's tough if they start hiding. I didn't really think ds looked that much like the pic when he came out. But i do see a resemblance with ds' and this baby's today.

@dinodna3 There's a place that specializes near my mum's place, which is why I was wondering. We got a rare shot of her in regular version - straight on and you could see her cheeks and nose.
@catlady1215 We don't have that option at my clinic, so we'd have to go somewhere else. Last u/s she wasn't hiding, and the place we're looking at will rebook you if you can't see the face and/or gender
I am actively procrastinating on writing thank yous. Already went grocery shopping, cleaned the house, and started laundry. Now I'm watching the queer eye reboot on Netflix. Already loving it! Also finished bachelor winter games and it was definitely worth it. Courtney and Lily are too adorable for words!!

@izza2 Yep, I'd much rather spend $ on clothes for DS and future DD (and ice cream!) than for myself. Especially since this will be my last so they'd only get 3 months use. But lets just say my look is a combo comfy athleisure & homeless chic (i.e. mismatched sweats that either my toddler or I have spilled on) so maybe I should reconsider.
