Regarding implants: I don’t necessarily want bigger boobs, I just need some tissue back in there (which obviously requires implants). I still wear a D bra, but I kid you not when I say it’s all skin and nipple in each cup. Sans bra, bear with me here, I swear my boobs would sway in the breeze. There’s just nothing there but loose skin and I’m so self conscious about it with DH. They look fine in clothes, but I just want to feel good about myself in private again. So, if that helps explain it a little.
I did not get a period until I weaned down to one nursing session a day. I took the mini pill just to be safe. I will still have 2 under 2, we planned it that way. I don't know why people make "2 under 2" such a big thing. 2 under 3 isn't going to be a cake walk either....

Dude. I'm going to have 3 under 6 and I don't think it's going to be easy either lol
I am hoping to do 2 under 2. One of the main reasons is that I am already old hahaha. I will be 36 when this one was born and it took us so long to even get pregnant that I am gonna start to try near this one's first birthday. I know people having babies after 40 is a thing and more power to you! I just want to have them before if I can.
@calimom2524 EXACTLY! Kids are really awesome rewarding work at any age. The whole "2 under 2" thing annoys me because people then assume it's an accident. Someone the other day commented on my pregnancy and said, "oh geez, Irish twins" and I was like....wth? Irish twins are within 1 year of eachother. And again, usually an accident. My children have both been planned thank you very much.

Mark me down for 3 under 5. May we all be blessed with all the caffeine we need.
@livinthesunnylife I knew someone with Irish triplets. She got pregnant 6 weeks after each pregnancy. Total "accidents." I don't know how I could have that accident happen more than once, but it's apparently possible.
+1 for 2u2. Although, like @Brezzy1928, ours is also intentional and we will likely try to do it that way again for #3. We want a big family and I'd really like to be done having babies by the time I'm 40.
I would never trust breastfeeding for birth control, even though I didn't get my period pack before I got my IUD (which was like 6 months after each boy). I am always shocked that there are those who do - you just never know when your period is about to come back and it could be your first cycle ovulating!
I had 2u2 for like 3 weeks. I found that age difference tough (not right away necessarily) and I am hoping this time, 3u5 however DS2 will be 2y8m, will make it SLIGHTLY easier.
On the topic of used breast pumps, here is a good article about which ones are closed systems. The Medela Pump in Style is one of the most popular ones that insurance covers, and it's an open system. So FYI.
Team tinyish boobs. I'm normally a pretty full B. I really do want to look into a lift and possible small implants when I'm all done bfing for good, as there was noticeable sag after 14 months of bfing DS, and I imagine it won't be any better this time.

On the subject of boobs. Me and my other pregnant or recently pregnant friends were talking about this at toddler gymnastics the other day (not as weird as it sounds! lol)
They both had girls and then boys - and said their boobs got much bigger with their boys. I had a boy first and am team green - but my boobs are definitely not bigger than they were last time around (though there's still plenty of time).
Has anyone else had that observation while experiencing different sex pregnancies?

I'm team tig ol' bitties, (DD) and I'm a little nervous to see what breastfeeding is going to do them. They've been my favorite body part for a long time now... I would totally get a boob lift (is that even a thing?) if I felt like I needed one.
Also, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one feeling skeevey about using a used breast pump. One of my friends offered hers (along with all of her baby stuff - clothes, bottles, etc.), and I immediately felt weirded out with the thought of using it. I didn't say anything, though. I'm going to try and get one through my insurance. When should I do that process, STM's?
I don't really have a FFFC... I mean, I ate a lot of junk today, but that's a typical Friday
@hezzer78 yep what the other ladies said. A month. I just ordered mine last week, but they said they'll confirm my info and order it in July.
Last time I knew DS was going to arrive early (since I went on hospital bed rest at 25 weeks) so I contacted insurance and demanded that they sent it ASAP, and I think it arrived like a week after he was born. But for normal situations, it'll be nice and early lol

Team big ol boobies here. I was the opposite as your friends, my boobs with DS stayed about the same but this time they're already noticeably bigger and I'm normally a G/H cup. Now my cups runneth over
My SIL had 4 girls. She only BF’ed her last one, and her boobs went up a few sizes. I had a boy, and mine returned to their normal AA’s after he weaned. With this pg I’ve already gone up a cup size, from AA to fully filling out an A cup. I should find out if this LO is a boy or girl on Wednesday, so we’ll see.
Ugh. The insurance pump discussion earlier prompted me to call my insurance company and make sure it was covered, yeah it's not. That's crappy!
Boo! I'm sorry.

Boobs uses to be my favorite body part of myself (32F), but pumping has made them never the same. They're still big, just different. I would like them reconstructed I guess, not bigger, but maybe just replaced Also I know sooooo many people who have gotten pregnant while breastfeeding I'm amazed people still truly believe it's foolproof
@jsnakehole. Re ovulation . I have PCOS. Prior to conceiving DD I was on metformin for testosterone levels and such. After delivering and breastfeeding for a year, I went back to check my levels, and they were all normal. My cycles became more regular too. Still really long at 35 days, but regular. I concerned this one without anything. So yeah, things may change post partum.
I'm a DD too in the bra department. During pregnancy, they don't really get much bigger. When breastfeeding they definitely went up a cup. After, they are back to DDs, and are a little lower than I would like, but not too deflated.
My insurance covers a new breast pump, which I'm relieved about.
Am I a dummy for thinking breast feeding (along with my naturally bizarre cycle) will be reliable birth control for the first few months? Am I going to end up with two under two?
*Raises hand...this baby was conceived when DD2 was 5.5 months old and exclusively breastfeeding. My periods always come back as soon as my babies regularly sleep through the night, so I knew I was technically fertile again but I figured the 1-2 times a month we actually pulled our shit together enough to have sex wouldn't cut it. I was wrong.
I got a pump for free last time, but my new employer will only rent a hospital grade pump for you for a year - which seems way less cost effective but whatever
Holy shit that is awesome. Having used both a regular and hospital grade pump I xan confirm that hospital grade is WAY better, though they are also larger and more annoying to carry around.

3 under 4. And honestly, DD1 will turn 3 only two months before this one is born. I figure our lives will be pure chaos for the next 4-5 years and then we might be ok again lol.

I’m hoping to leave that at the office and use my old one at home so I don’t have to lug it around!

I love mine so much that I lug it around. I'm only at the office twice a week so it's not too terrible.
I’m super sad for my pregnant boobs to leave me. This will be my first child I won’t be breastfeeding or pumping for so I’m used to them sticking around for a while before I’m stuck with the saggy sad boobs, and this time for good. Boo.
If this kid shows up even 2 days early I’ll have 3u3 for a bit. All planned that way.
some of you ‘big titties’ have no idea. Pre kid 1, I was a 40 J. My ribs haven’t ever gone back down, but I now sit at a 46K. Which I figured out meant 63 inches around the nips with a tape measure. FML.

@7425cait I’ve heard of that happening from so many people. Several of my friends struggled with infertility and needed different levels of help, all the way up to IVF, then it’s like their body completely reset itself after the first pregnancy and they got pregnant with their “bonus baby” with no help. Bodies are strange and amazing!

@7425cait there are 3 girls in my last BMB that happened to! 1 went through IVF with #1 after years of struggling, then ended up getting pg while still BFing #1. The other 2 had PCOS and went through medicated cycles for #1, then their cycles were more normal and got pg with #2 with no interventions. I’ve also heard many girls getting pg while still BFing, so I definitely don’t think it’s a good form of birth control. I stopped BFing early on, so my cycles returned by 8 weeks or so and we’re back to normal, so I went back on bc.
The technical guidance on breastfeeding as birth control is that you are generally covered if you are nursing at least once every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. The night time is what eventually throws that off. Because believe me, when your kid starts sleeping more than 4 hours at a stretch, the last thing you're going to want to do is get up and pump just so you won't get pregnant again. Generally exclusive BFers are good for the first couple of months, but after that your body is going to do what it wants.
I will note for those that temped and charted that after DD1 I was temping once my periods returned and my LPs were SO SHORT until I started pump weaning that there was almost no way I could have gotten pregnant even though I was ovulating. I mistakenly assumed the same would be true with #2 and I guess it wasn't (didn't temp this time). She took a lot less milk so that is maybe why, who knows. But if you truly truly don't want any more kids or don't want them close together, use condoms at least. I hesitated to do anything hormonal for myself because I didn't want my supply to suffer. You know what really kills supply? Pregnancy. Whoops.
@delujm0 we used condkms because I didn’t want hormonal BC either, but it’s annoying to know we could have gone without and been fine. But hindsight is 20/20. We’re totally done after this, but I think I’ll get a copper IUD or something until we do something permanent. Condoms aren’t fun.
@lalala2004 I can understand that, completely. I was that way after ds and got the iud while we decided. This time I KNOW I'm done and so is dh. The mirena wasnt too bad, but messed with my emotions (hormones) and I had some issues with cysts. My periods prior to mirena were so bad that the cysts every few months were better than a period every month. Then we removed it after 5 yrs and conceived ds. After him I had paragard and it was terrible until I had it removed. I don't want to go that route again and don't want to be on hormones either. Since we know we're done one of us getting a procedure done will be the best fit for us
@lalala2004 it made intercourse painful every single time. I complained numerous times about it and after the did ultrasounds they kept telling me it was placed right, and I shouldn't be in pain. I gave it 3.5 years and removed it right before ttc this one and immediately found relief . I never had that problem with mirena. Dh said he could feel the difference immediately too and although mirena was never uncomfortable for him the paragard was
