  • What do you know?  There was birthday cake in the break room.  I couldn't just walk by and not have a piece...

The sugar craving is strong with this one.

  • @amys614 I'm not even a coffee person and I've been tempted to try those DD coffees.
And on that note, i've also told myself I might need to learn to be a coffee drinker after baby cause DS is not going to let us stay caught up on sleep like we could with him!

  • I want icecream tonight. Or a milk shake. Waaah.

I need to stop snacking though :( I don't do it all day though! My usual day is a big bowl of special k berries for breakfast. Lunch is scrambled eggs, one of those sandwich thins and veggies. Then an Apple and some pb filled pretzels for an afternoon snack. Then what ever dinner is. But after ds goes to bed, I always just want a snack. I try to keep it to like 2 GS cookies or one bigger Cadbury egg. But tonight, I want icecream or a milkshake. Someone tell me it's ok?!  :s or tell me to calm my prego butt down with the sweets :D give it to me straight!

  • Reading this post really made me want M&M's and jelly beans.  :D

Buuuuut, it is all about the mixed greens at my house right now. I was diagnosed with GD last week annnnnd, that's all that sounds good and would be dietician approved. So, for now, I'm eating 2 salads a day.
  • @catlady1215 go eat all the girl scout cookies and some ice cream for me! Maybe a Cadbury egg too if you've still got room.  :p
  • @twelvetwosomeonenew so sorry about the GD! I was there with my first. Get some fudge  pops! They're not bad on the GD diet!

@catlady1215 I had GD with my first, not with my second, but here again. I'll settle into the diet in a couple weeks and stop craving all the candy, hopefully lol.
Eta: I Honestly needed a push to fix my eating habits in general, so its a pretty welcome change. I just might avoid this thread!
  • @twelvetwosomeonenew I've honestly said to myself that as much as i hated it, the restrictions helped me stay under control so it wouldn't be the worst thing (as long as me and baby stayed healthy with no complications of course). I passed my 3 hr last month. I'll find out on Monday if they'll recheck me now that I'm farther along. I don't feel out of the woods yet!
