@ChristenMA83 yay for getting back in to normal pants. I was able to also today, which is a great feeling.
@Ilky that is a good report! Do you all know if most places do a day 3 report? I wasn't expecting my RE to call but it would be nice to know what is happening.
@greenhillgirl Mine calls the day after with fertilization report, then on Day 3 and again on Day 5 / 6 with final report. Yours should call, but def call and ask your nurse to see. I have seen some clinics won't call until Day 5.

I emailed to ask if they give a day 3 report and my RE just called back. We have 9 still growing and 7 look great. 2 are growing more slowly so he is not sure if they will catch up or not. They will give it until Wednesday- so 8 days- before they decide which to biopsy and send for PGS. He said at my age I could expect around 70% to be chromosomally normal, so fingers crossed for 4 healthy in the end to freeze for transfer. Come on lucky 4! Haha.
Also does anyone ever feel sad about their embryos that didn’t make it? Is that a thing?Think I’m coming off that extra estrogen now and feeling a little emotional. Feel a little like grieving for the embryos that didn’t keep growing. Is that stupid?
@greenhillgirl Yes! Esp after getting PGS results back. All mine that didn't make it were boys. My husband was happy we had some normals, but made me feel bad because he then was sad at the fact he may never have a son But embryologist explained they'd all end in miscarriage, etc so rather not have to deal with that extra loss.

@greenhillgirl. Yeah, it's hard. In our case, I think we had pretty high attrition, and that was very hard on DH especially. But at the same time, if we were trying the old fashioned way, no couple gets pregnant every single cycle, even if sperm meets egg. We might never know how many early fertilizations took place, but never implanted (i.e. didn't make it to freeze). It's just harder because in ivf, we see it all happening. They get a year's (or more or less) worth of eggs / cycles in one shot, and put every single one under the microscope. But it made it a little easier to accept that it's all a natural part of traditional conception and ttc, we just don't normally have to "see" the losses or get so up close and personal with them, or maybe quite so attached. I do think it gets easier in time... ❤
Okay so cd4 I have 17 follies and one at 11. Hoping this is a shorter time of stims then before. Curious if more follies will show up And lord the headaches have been all day! But either way excited time is passing

I feel so down right now only 4 out of 8 made to day 6. They are going to send them to PGS tomorrow and we won’t get any results for a week. I’m worried what if we won’t have any to transfer. Even then it might not implant so I might need another. ((( I don’t know if I can go through this again
Hello everyone. I’m on day 7 of my second ER cycle and recently found this board. My husband and I are doing IVF to test for a fatal genetic condition so we are batching embryos and will send all our embryos after this round. This round of retrieval has been much tougher than the first one! I have been tired all the time and taking 2-3 hours of naps a day (tough when working full time). Also, cutting out caffeine and alcohol has been much harder. Is it wrong that all I want is a glass of wine?
@Ilky ((hugs)) Try not to worry too much!! We had 12 good quality on Day 3 and ended up with only 6 that made blasts to test for PGS. My girlfriend had only 3 to send for PGS and 2 came back normal. This process can be so stressful it is with all we have to do plus hormones! Everything will work out! But I get it, I was a mess the week waiting on PGS results and was shaking on the phone when they called with my results. Now I'm a mess waiting for FET, so I've gone down the google dark hole. Take care of yourself! I'm here if you need anything!
@Kellyacr Welcome to the group!! It's not wrong for wanting wine! We all deserve some after this!

@Ilky I understand where you're coming from (out of 8, only 2 of ours made it to day 6). Try to keep your head up and stay positive. At this point it's out of your hands (which I know is frustrating). Try to focus on yourself right now and maybe endulge in a little pampering (dinner, pedicure, spa, binge watching, reading, whatever helps you relax). Hugs to you.
@kellyacr welcome! Ha! The first thing I did after ER was drink a little wine. One day of endulging and now I'm back to sober while I wait for the next step.
@mrsa2017 thinking about you. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's eta!
AFM: Cycle day 1, so they have me starting estrace back up. Clinic should call today to start scheduling my appointments in for the FET cycle and need to get my meds ordered for this leg of the journey.
Question to those of you doing FET in March - are you going to hang out on this thread or jump over to March FET?
Hi ladies. Transfer was yesterday. We had 2 blastocysts (both grade 2AB), and 1 compacted embryo (basically just on the verge of blastocyst). All 3 were transferred.
The 4th embryo that fertilized initially is trailing behind. They are going to watch it a couple more days, but it may not make it to be frozen.
@heddamae You may want to black out your personal information from the u/s pic since it is visible across the entire internet......GL with your transfer!

@ChristenMA83 I'm scheduled for FET in March. I'm just going in-between both groups for now. I found last months IVF board, after everyone was done, it got super quiet. There was a lot of fresh transfers, which maybe why. So I'm glad I hopped on this one too! I always talk to girls on the TTCA 35 board. Feel free to join over there as well if you'd like. It's laid back and isn't completely "cycle talk"

@Ilky Don't give up hope! We were in the same boat today - of our 10 embryos only 4 made it to day 5. But it only takes one in the end.
@heddamae Congrats on the transfer! How are you feeling so far?
AFM I'm officially PUPO! I had the transfer this morning, they transferred 2 blastocysts. They didn't tell me what grade they were but the doctor seemed really positive One definitely seemed more developed than the other. I kept staring at the picture We also have 2 snow babies
I was told to do the beta test in 11 days but I'm probably going to POAS at 8dp5dt.
I'm 34, SO 39 TTC since July 2015 Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks Started Clomid November 2016 BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks. Hey ladies it's been awhile since I updated. Hope everyone had a good weekend!!
AFM On the 22nd I was 9dp5dt and had my first beta test it was a 16.8. I was feeling really down. I went and retested today it jumped to 194.9 13dp5dt. I am so happy first ultra sound is set for March 13th.
Thank you, everyone for the warm welcome. It has all made this process feel a little less lonely. I caved and had two sips of wine at dinner. It was worth it.
@sparkle0404 Congratulations!! Thats's a great Beta. Happy planning @mrsa2017 Great result!! Congrats - best of luck with your Beta today @orlaa and @heddamae Congrats on being in a state of PUPO Be really good to yourselves and try your best to relax @Ilky Try to keep your spirits up - I know how stressful waiting on results is, wishing you happy news in the coming days @Kellyacr Welcome to February! Sorry you're finding it so tough - but I think the tiredness means it's working! How did you get on with your last round? Did you get to bank any snowbabies? Wishing you all the positive vibes AFM, myself and DH took a long weekend away together. Honestly. I was feeling kinda down over the last week - has anyone else felt that after ER? I don't know if it's just all the hormones leaving my body or if it's just a bit of an anti-climax, going through all this and now not able to do anything again until April. I dunno - maybe I'll just being overly self-indulgent!!

@roisis I'm with you, post ER is a downer - and I think it's the stagnation of the process, at least for me. I got my transfer schedule yesterday and it was such an uplift, but the past week and a half were just, like you said, anti-climactic. Glad you and DH were able to get away and enjoy yourselves.
AFM: All my transfer appointments and meds are scheduled. We'll be starting meds on 3/8, monitor 3/12, PIO 3/15, transfer 3/20 and test 3/30. Now that I have little weekly milestones to look forward to it feels like this process is moving again.
@sparkle0404 Congratulations! Such Great news. Let's keep those BFPs coming
@roisis I can totally understand feeling down while waiting for your FET. The IVF cycle is filled with various milestones so you always have something on the horizon to keep your mind occupied. Not to mention coming off all those hormones. That's great that you had a weekend away. Look after yourself you deserve it
@ChristenMA83 That's great that you have your cycle planned out. I think it really helps having something to focus on

ChristenMA83 and @Orlaa said that it is a hard part of the process and I totally agree. I would just add that its also chemical. We go from our bodies being injected with estrogen to the point of producing 5-10x the amount you normally would at the highest point in our cycle to being given none at all and your body having to make its own again just to get back to normal. There is a relationship between estrogen and serotonin which researchers don't know enough about yet and if it were men's bodies we probably would know way more, tbh. As someone who suffers from serious major depression that is very well controlled by a small dose of SSRI's, meaning I have a serious but easily fixable serotonin issue, I think about this stuff. I felt super down Friday-Sunday but am now just very irritable. I also haven't been sleeping well. What helps me is knowing it could take a few days or weeks for my body to go back to regular and also a little bit of walking or biking or other exercise can really improve your mood and get those neurons firing! Even for normal people who make their own seratonin, it can take a while for the body and brain to right itself.
Take care!

Thanks everyone for kind words - I guess feeling down now is quite normal - I just wasn't expecting it!! @greenhillgirl Thank you I completely agree with you - I went out for my first run in 6 months yesterday and felt much better. Couldn't get out again today for the strangest reason - Ireland is having it's worst snowstorm in >35 years - so we're all housebound today!! I'm extremely glad I'm not going in for monitoring this week - I'd say some people are very frustrated. And yes - I'm pretty sure that if men had to even deal with periods there would be an effective cure by now! Sorry your work people are bothering you - work out that frustration!! And congrats on 6 embryos - that's a great result! @mrsa2017 For feck's Sake!! How frustrating!!! How are you feeling? @Elle131 Congrats on 3 snowbabies - that's exactly what we have in the freezer too
Oh - and today is the last day of February - We all made it through the month!!! I know some of us are further on than others, and some did not get what they were hoping for - but we all went through something incredible and difficult this month and I believe all deserve a pat on the back. @sparkle04 congrats on the rising beta, woo-hoo, you're leading the charge. Can't wait to hear about your US.
@ChristenMA83 the train for you is starting again. Excited?
@Elle131 Congrats hun! March is tomorrow so just one month away. How long before you get the results back?
@greenhillgirl lucky number 6! Hoping for more than half to come back normal... Oh the wait!
@roisis hiiii love, hope your get away was relaxing for your mind, body and soul. Try a at home work out while you're stuck indoors.
AFM.. I'm annoyed as hell and now worried. I had a lil bit of brown spotting yesterday morning, it increased last night and now just a little again this morning. Everyone is saying it's normal and that it's just implantation bleeding. I'm thinking implantation bleeding at 9dp5dt? I guess that tells you how much I know. I'm willing my Dr to hurry up and call with the number. DH is antsy and he's starting to compare the spotting to our prior EP. Sigh.. today will be a day. At least I'm home! And second beta is tomorrow and I haven't gotten first beta yet uuuugggghhh. Other than that I'm crampy and sleeping is uncomfortable. @mrsa2017 Personally, I think it being "brown" is a good sign, but I get your anxiety. In a normal cycle they say implantation can happen between 6-12 dpo, so does look promising FX for a good call today!!!

@ChristenMA83 yay for getting back in to normal pants. I was able to also today, which is a great feeling.
@Ilky that is a good report! Do you all know if most places do a day 3 report? I wasn't expecting my RE to call but it would be nice to know what is happening.
I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Haha.

This round of retrieval has been much tougher than the first one! I have been tired all the time and taking 2-3 hours of naps a day (tough when working full time). Also, cutting out caffeine and alcohol has been much harder. Is it wrong that all I want is a glass of wine?

@Kellyacr Welcome and good luck!
They didn't tell me what grade they were but the doctor seemed really positive
One definitely seemed more developed than the other. I kept staring at the picture
We also have 2 snow babies
I was told to do the beta test in 11 days but I'm probably going to POAS at 8dp5dt.
TTC since July 2015
Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why
BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks
Started Clomid November 2016
BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks.
IUI July 2017 BFP which turned out to be CP
IVF scheduled for Feb 2018
AFM On the 22nd I was 9dp5dt and had my first beta test it was a 16.8. I was feeling really down. I went and retested today it jumped to 194.9 13dp5dt. I am so happy first ultra sound is set for March 13th.
Good luck to everyone with transfers and waits.
@mrsa2017 Great result!! Congrats - best of luck with your Beta today
@orlaa and @heddamae Congrats on being in a state of PUPO Be really good to yourselves and try your best to relax
@Ilky Try to keep your spirits up - I know how stressful waiting on results is, wishing you happy news in the coming days
@Kellyacr Welcome to February! Sorry you're finding it so tough - but I think the tiredness means it's working! How did you get on with your last round? Did you get to bank any snowbabies? Wishing you all the positive vibes
AFM, myself and DH took a long weekend away together. Honestly. I was feeling kinda down over the last week - has anyone else felt that after ER? I don't know if it's just all the hormones leaving my body or if it's just a bit of an anti-climax, going through all this and now not able to do anything again until April. I dunno - maybe I'll just being overly self-indulgent!!

@roisis I am totally feeling a little lull here. I got my dates and probably looking at an April 13th transfer date. It seems too far away.
@ChristenMA83. it must feel good to have a schedule. That will be here before you know it
Has anybody been on the Lupron 2 week kit to downregulate. I need 2 kits and I am trying to find a good price.
I just had my blood drawn for beta so I’m back home just trying to relax and keep my mind occupied. Will talk to you all later this evening.

Take care!
AFM I'm waiting for a day 6 report today and to find out how many we can send for PGS. I feel so bitchy I can't believe it. I'm about to sneak off at lunch to go to the gym myself although I'd rather yell at my staff who keeps submitting things with mistakes but I won't. Patience, patience.
Bualadh Bos!!! (congratulations/applause in Irish )
