Caesar Salad! There is a little cafe by my office building that has an AMAZING house-made Caesar, which I've had a huge craving for. I've been reading about the odds of actually getting sick from eating raw eggs in caesar dressing, but my PGAL brain just won't let me do it!

@bel194 I think it depends on how the dressing is made. The ones at the grocery store have to be made with pasteurized eggs because it is bottled. I would ask them how its made. Not gonna lie, I'm a STM and my first OB was super lax about foods and drinks. I pretty much didn't give up any foods or drinks on my first pregnancy.
I feel like sushi is not off limits. Am I crazy? I vaguely remember having a conversation about it with my doctor when I was pregnant with DD and now I can't remember at all.
@lest12 I have not given up sushi lol and I won't. I didn't with my first either. My OB was very lax compared to some but basically told me I'd have to eat it all day every day to even get a slight chance of something bad. I stick to crab, shrimp and smoked salmon mostly anyways so no harm there but once in a while I will have a piece of something else.
The only thing I gave up last time was Coffee for about the first 5 months. Then I was just so exhausted I couldn't function at work without it. I still at all the deli meat, feta cheese, etc.
I would totally eat sushi from a reputable place if I had the stomach for it, but I don't.
I miss feeling comfortable in my own skin. I miss dreamless sleep. I miss wine SO bad. My teenager has me thinking I need those daily 5oz come my second tri.

Thissssss!! I haven't had to cut any food out, or cut back on physical activity. I already sleep poorly and have weird dreams... but always feeling off, uncomfortable, or just not quite right is what is getting to me most!!
@dashpointlady check out the book Expecting Better! That will help you make an educated decision on the deli meat
I am so glad you mentioned Expecting Better! I saw it recommended on this community (maybe it was by you) and I have loved it! As a first time mom, I so appreciate all the research and information. I don't feel nearly as stressed out as I was now that I have a lot of information to make decisions that work for me.
I will say I miss eating fatty foods here and there without regret especially when DH has a pizza in his lap.
Wine. all the wine. and medium rare steak. lol definitely sushi. I ate sushi last pregnancy following that same chart @jaylii! It helped with the sushi cravings for sure, but I still missed the tuna!
@jellybelly114 I’m also finishing grad school and miss having energy to do homework when I get home from work.
I also miss wine...DH and I would always drink wine and watch This Is Us. It became our weekly at home date night...I tried sparkling juice and it was wayyyy too sweet. And since I can’t stomach sweets, I miss dessert and chocolate.
You can heat deli meat until streaming, then let it cool, then make a sandwich. I did that with first pregnancy. I ordered a cold turkey sandwich from a deli last week, I'm not too worried about it good time around. When I was pregnant three years ago the only Listeria breakouts I heard of came from Annie's organic frozen spinach lasagna and ice cream. Deli meat really isn't that risky. But if you're still worried, heating it to steaming kills possible bacteria.
Brushing my teeth. It’s become torture. I’ve randomly thrown up twice now with out even being nauseous. I try to do as good as I can and hope mouth wash does the rest
Sleeping without interruption - crazy dreams or getting up to pee. I know in a few months I'll be up with a newborn even sooner I'll be so big I can't sleep comfortable, can't I at least enjoy these last few months with uninterrupted sleep!!
I've done it twice already where I bought something and can't finish eating it - salami and cheese snack pack - 3 pieces in and realized oops. Sushi, had one piece and then just had to let my BFF have it. Next time I'll go for cooked

You’re better than me-I would have just finished eating it. (Well, except the sushi- I wouldn’t have ordered that in the first place. )
I thought this was going to be “I've done it twice already where I bought something and can't finish eating it because I’m eating like a bird and no matter how good something sounds when I order it, five bites in and I am stuffed.”
I miss eating a full plate of food. I’m glad I won’t be pregnant over the holidays- although I’m wondering how they are going to work with a newborn...
@knottieamusements - I've been wondering about how the holidays are going to work out too. Maybe I'll just have parents and maybe a sibling or two come visit and cook FOR me? Surely there will be lots of eager arms to hold and care for the baby, so I can stuff my face with food and wine?

I don't want morning sickness or nausea but the downside of not having those is that I have a healthy appetite plus cravings and nothing is holding me back but my willpower!! I've gained 50lbs each pregnancy (never had MS) and I'm trying so hard to not gain as much this time around but I'm already up 8lbs in 6 weeks. Some of that has to be bloat but at this point I really wish I wasn't gaining but its hard when all I think of is food. I'm chugging water to make myself feel full (and because constipation lol). I can eat a whole plate of food and still eye DH's because portion control is tough even when it is healthy stuff. I just want it all!!
@KFrob I can totally sympathize with you on the teeth brushing! It's terrible. I had the same issue when I was pregnant with DS and I was really hoping to avoid it this time but nope.
@stithof - all my family is a 6hr drive away. Since I’m due early October, I’m thinking that by Christmas, I’ll be getting stir crazy- so maybe baby’s first road trip? Also- huge excuse to not bother with my holiday decorations.
Bonus- I make that drive 3-4 times a year with my dog anyway, so I know all the places to stop if baby needs a rest break.
@knottieamusements Go for it! I took DD on a road trip from Atlanta to Chicago, then over to Detroit when she was 3 months old. It was soooo much easier than I thought it would be, too. At that age they just sleep in the car the whole time!
Honestly- my biggest concern is that my four-legged fur baby will want to climb on and over the two legged furless one. But I bet I figure that issue out in the first couple weeks at home.

@krgriffin26 OK, lol, maybe I'm not crazy. I remember him saying to just not eat excessive amounts of tuna. My OB is also pretty lax though.
All of that being said, I don't know if I could handle sushi right now anyway.
