Re: MARCH FET

  • @DecemberDoll27 Hi, glad to have another join in March FET. Hopefully this is the one for you!!!

AFM my sonogram last Tuesday was good. My RE took me off BCP and I think AF will start today or tomorrow. Saturday I start taking Estrogen 3Xs a day for a few weeks, I think. It’s all starting up, I’m pretty excited! It still seems far away from my transfer day March 14th but I know it will get here eventually.

  • Had my monitoring appointment this morning and everything looks good for my transfer next Friday!  In the mean time I will be continuing my Estrogen pills and then I will start PIO on Sunday!

@marfi236 Wohoo! First of the March group!

AFM, had my first monitoring appointment yesterday on CD10. One follicle on the right ovary @ 12mm and lining is 7.5mm. LH was 14. I'm doing OPKs at home as well to monitor and those are getting darker but aren't positive yet. I go back tomorrow morning for more monitoring and I expect that I will probably trigger tomorrow night for O on Wednesday and then start prometrium on Thursday. Tentative transfer date of March 6/7 depending on which embryo is chosen.

  • Hi @beachbunnyxo123 Looks like we both got pushed into March. I’m glad you joined this board.
@radmom27 It makes sense for you to join us, welcome! So Wednesday is your transfer that’s great, Can’t wait to hear how it goes!

@marfi236  Friday transfer is coming fast!!!

All these upcoming transfers make me feel like mine is happening soon too. I’m on cycle day 3 now, so The countdown is on!
  • Welcome @radmom27!

@chillvazz Yippie!  CD 3!  Hope the time flies for you!  I'm hoping this week goes super fast!  We are working on moving stuff over to my parents house this week because we are going to be staying with them while we are selling our house and buying a new one, so I'm hoping that doing all that this week will help the time go super fast!

Started the PIO tonight and my bum is sore after it just started feeling better after stopping PIO earlier this month but I'm not complaining!  It'll be better once we start using the lidocaine again (we were on a time crunch tonight and couldn't wait an hour for the lidocaine before the shot)!

  • @beachbunnyxo123 Hi! So exciting that you're gearing up for a transfer next week!!!

    @radmom27 Only 2 more days!!!

AFM, my body must have forgotten how to function on its own. I've been on meds every cycle in the last 12 months except for two. My LH decreased today from Saturday (14 on Sat, 8.8 today) and my largest follicle (11 mm) didn't grow any but two smaller ones popped up (both 9 mm). Lining remained the same at 7 mm and is triple stripe. It will probably get thicker over the coming days/week until I O. I usually O between CD 13-15 on my own, so to not be anywhere close to Oing on CD 12 is rather weird for me. But again, I chalk it up to being my first cycle in a long time that has been natural. Silver lining - and this is *TMI* - is that it has been so long since I've got to enjoy sexytime with DH since I feel like shit on medicated cycles, that I'm glad to have the extra bit of time before trigger to spend some QT with him :)

That being said, we are FINALLY scheduled to do another FET (2 embies) on 3/20. Trying to get excited/pumped up about it and I figured this is probably the best way since everyone seems to always been so helpful, encouraging :)

  • @kristimh80 - Excited for you to start on that last leg of your journey! I have the same diagnosis and it looks like almost the same timeline (though mine started out 2012-2015). How are you feeling, post-IVF? I remember it all just kind of being a whirlwind, but I do remember that "wait" for the FET just seemed like foreverrrrrrrr away.

  • Hi everyone! I had two failed natural FETs at the beginning of last year. I swore that I would never do another natural FET again! Then I got pregnant naturally in July, but sadly ended up terminating in November, because the baby tested positive for a gene I am trying not to pass on. I had a hysteroscopy/polyp removal at the beginning of the month to clean everything up in my uterus, and now I'm slated to do yet another natural FET on March 3. I feel grateful to know that it's possible for me to get pregnant, but I also feel pretty hopeless that IVF will ever work for me.

  • @smittenkitten_aka_knottie821 I don't know if you are still curious about natural transfer protocols, but I am on my 3rd natural transfer cycle and the protocol has always been the same. I go in every other day for appointments until my LH shoots up. Then I get an HCG trigger shot. Then I go in one more time to see if I have ovulated yet. My transfer is always 5 days after I ovulate. Two days before the transfer I start doing progesterone (vaginal suppositories) twice a day. 10 days after the transfer I go in for my first beta.

  • @SingleGeneMe yes still interested...so my RE said I do a similar protocol. Wait for AF, then when I get it 10 days in I start daily labs/ US to see if I ovulated, then transfer on day 5. But she didn't mention any medications, she's said let's wait and see.
But thank you for the info., makes me feel better knowing you had sikmilar experience.

  • @SingleGeneMe Welcome and I am so sorry for your loss.  I can't imagine how devastating it is to have to make the decision to medically terminate,  especially after going through so much just to get pregnant. FX that FET##3 does the trick :)

    @marfi236 Yay! So exciting!

@MamaK225 welcome!  Looks like you've been through a lot up to this point. Wishing you success this time around!

AFM, monitoring this morning showed one 1.9 cm and one 1.3 cm follicle and my LH more than doubled since yesterday's monitoring (lining is 9mm and triple striped),  so I trigger tonight at 10 pm and my FET is scheduled for March 7th! @beachbunnyxo123 looks like we'll be transfer buddies! Now, to figure out how I get out of 3 meetings on the 7th that are mandatory for me to attend.  This should be fun....

@tosh24 yay we will be transfer buddies!!! 9mm great lining!!! I hope work doesn’t give you a hard time about that meeting!!! Your transfer is obviously more important!!! That’s been a huge adjustment for me to accept that work does not come first anymore so I’m still working through it myself! Let us know how it goes!

AFM I started PIO injections this morning and go back for one more US on Tuesday before my transfer Wednesday. Yay!!! It’s almost here! I also took WThF off from work. I have a super stressful job and just didn’t want to deal with it right after my transfer
  • @tosh24 @beachbunnyxo123 So excited for you ladies!!! Wednesday sounds like a great day!!! @beachbunnyxo123 I don't blame you, I plan on take a few days off as well. This is the one time to really take care of yourself! <3

I had my transfer today. Nothing about the protocol has changed, so I don't have high hopes about it working. The one slight difference was that even though they always do assisted hatching, this time my embryo looked almost fully hatched. The first two times it had barely hatched at all.

@marfi236 Congratulations on your transfer...now onto the 10 day wait for both of us...I hope it flys by!

  • @SingleGeneMe I know!  It's going to be the longest 10 day wait!  I was hoping my beta would be on 3/12 rather than 3/14 because I'm in the office that day (I work from home every other week and that's a week I'm in the office) so I'm going to have to test at home before so I'm not surprised by the results when I'm at work in the office.

  • @beachbunnyxo123 and @tosh24 I hope everything goes good for you both on Wednesday!!! I should be a week behind you.

@marfi236  and @SingleGeneMe it’s exciting to have you both in the after transfer 10 day wait! FX and baby dust for both of you!

AFM last week flew by I had a guest in town to entertain. I’ve been on Estrogen pills 2 mg 3Xs a day.  I feel like they make me bloated & crave sugar. Not to bad of side effects compaired to fresh IVF. I hope everyone is feeling good with wherever they are in their cycle, I’m cycle day 11, i’m not getting a trigger done so I will start Ovulation tests tomorrow.
  • @chillvazz Thankfully my estrogen pills haven't been giving me any problems.  My RE told me I could take them 3Xs a day or take all 3 2mg pills at the same time so I elected for the second option so maybe since I take them shortly before bed I don't notice any side effects!

AFM, I just got the call from the nurse about by progesterone levels and they are up to 42 from 19 on Friday!  Now just need to wait another 8 days until my beta!  (I think my RE wants to drive me crazy by making me wait 12 days for my beta!)

  • I've been in/out the last few days with computer issues at work, so haven't had time "to myself" to check in. Glad everyone is moving along as expected. Are anyone's Betas coming up soon? I know we had some late-Feb FETs ... let's see some +++ :)

AFM, started the Estrace escalation this weekend and - good gracious - I always forget about how rough it starts out. It's amazing how a 1mg pill can just take you out for a day or two. How's everyone else doing/feeling? Still have my eyes on a 3/20 FET (x2), as long as the labs come back where we expect them to on the 14th. FX.

FET#8 - 11/18 - 2 emb - BFP; looks like one baby is going to make it, DD is due 8/16 (though likely to be 8/9)

  • @chillvazz Thanks! The Estrace make me bloated too. So, is your doctor expecting you to ovulate while on the Estrace? My RE uses it as an ovulation suppressant, so no ovulation.

@marfi236 Glad your progesterone went up!

@MamaK225 Sorry you're having trouble adjusting to the Estrace - that little green pill is the devil (I hated it so much)! Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon!

AFM, got the call that my transfer is set for 8:45 AM tomorrow which will be so much fun heading into the city in traffic...ugh. I contemplated taking the train in but then I'd have to do a lot of walking to and from the train station/subway so I'd rather drive and take it easy after transfer. I met with my RE yesterday to talk about next steps if this transfer should fail. She still doesn't want to do a lap even though she highly suspects that endo is my issue. Instead, we'll do 2-3 months of Lupron depending on how I'm feeling before another transfer. I REALLY REALLY hope it's all a moot point because this transfer will be successful. A girl can hope.
