Testing: Monday

R/R: The traffic where we live is AWWWFFULLLL. I grew up outside LA, and thought the traffic was bad there. DC is a whole different story. Woof.

CS/Q: Started spotting today. I don’t think that bodes well for our chances this month (spotted for 10 days before AF started last cycle). Blaaaahhh.

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? After today’s traffic, I might take anywhere else, lol. But seriously, we used to live in Ohio and I actually loved it there - would go back in a second. Ohio doesn’t get the love it deserves, hahaha. Or I’d happily live in Ireland. We vacationed there about 5 years ago and I didn’t want to leave! So beautiful.

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? I miss NYC- DH and I lived there for 5.5 years and I would move back in a heartbeat. I love where we are now, and our money goes much further, but that city was so great and taught me so much. I loved how clean and easy to travel around Tokyo was when we went there on vacation, but it would take faaaar too long to visit friends and family if we moved there...

@wrensnest We took our son to the zoo last year and it was HORRIBLE to drive in DC. I was terrified lol.

Testing: Well, I tested today, I caved. BFN. I really should wait until I expect AF Sunday or Monday. But, that BFN kind of hit my spirits a bit. So I guess we're out this month.

R/R: DS has a 103 fever today. So, I'm home from work (yay!) but I don't have many days left (boo!). So, I'm a little anxious. Hoping he doesn't have the flu

CS/Q: No

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why?
Outer Banks. It's my favorite place ever. So peaceful. I would go there all the time with my parents growing up, and since they passed away, it's the only place that feels like home to me.

@oaklandava Sorry about the BFN. Don't let it get you too down though, it's still early. Though I hope it helps you avoid testing for a few more days. Sorry about the fever!

Testing: wfaf. I don't like testing pre-work and I have to share a hotel room with a co-worker Saturday and Sunday so luckily it's a good deterrence from testing. If we're lucky enough to have a noshow af next week I'll make a point to test then.

R/R: I'm not looking forward to going out of town for work this weekend. We have to leave at 6:30 Saturday morning - arrive with no time to change just go right into a conference until 4, training until 6, team dinner then FINALLY can get to the hotel.. that I have to share.. ugh. Then another 4 hour drive back home on Sunday. Plus right back to normal work grind on Monday. It's going to be a rough week next week after not having a break and assuming AF shows.
rave: I had leftover chicken wings for lunch. mmmm. Now I want a donut.

CS/Q: nothing to see.

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why?
Somewhere south (either southern states or tropical island) OR Italy.

R/R: AF is due today and I cannot concentrate on anything else. I am just praying she doesn't show. I know 1 day does not a pregnancy make, but I'm desperate for any good sign. Feeling a little worn out. Sorry for being a bummer.

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? Either Montreal or Tuscany. Both for the architecture and history of the place. The wine doesn't hurt either

R/R: had a late start from snow this morning which was kind of rad, I got to snuggle my doggies for awhile

CS/Q: has anyone else noticed the influx of pregnant women in commercials or am I just noticing it more because its always on my mind.

In Yosemite. I love it there. If I could build a house on glacier point and live out my days hanging out in my backyard (which would be the park) and admiring my view, I would.

@galactickates Yes! The worst is social media/internet advertising- after we bought our house the algorithms decided I was imminently KU or a new Mom. It’s been brutal!

Late to the board today. Haha. There are some crazy stuff happening.

Testing: This morning...bfn, womp womp. Totally know it's early. Still couldn't help it. I know people who get bfp on 8dpo has to just be way later in their LP than they realize. H said no donuts today because it's not a "true negative" cause it could be postie next week. Boo! lol. Will probably test again Friday.

R/R: Rain Rain go away!! Seriously I feel like I am drowning. And wiping down the puppy every time he goes outside is so annoying because he is a pup and won't stay still! Good news is that it's 31 degree, so he will not stay outside to play in the water. (Glad he even does his business in this cold rain!) OMG as I was typing that sentence the loudest longest scariest thunder and lightening just went off outside and I may have screamed. My heart!
So, I made an appointment for my Rheumatologist yesterday and soonest was March 29th. BUT then they called this morning and had a cancellation this Friday so I'll get to go then!! Yay!! That's sooo much sooner.
Today is my last day in my 20's. I don't know why I am freaking out. I am excited, but I can't believe almost 30 years of my life are gone! It's so weird!!

CS/Q: It's odd that my temps are so 'mountainy" right? I take my temp within about a 20 minute window every morning. It should be pretty consistent right?

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? NEW ZEALAND! It's mine and my H's DREAM. It might have stemmed from the fact that we absoluately love Lord of the Rings, and you know, New Zealand is totally middle earth. It's beautiful...I hear they are soo friendly there. We want to move there so bad! If anything we would love to visit. But it's sooo expensive. I have a feeling it's a dream that will never come true. Our next place we want to live is Colorado. We love the mountains! We went there for our honeymoon and it was amazing!

Lurking from WTO

@Whitmore1027 Yes to NZ!!! While I was flying down to Antarctica we had a "layover" in NZ. It lasted about 5 days. We got to go to the beach, go for a hike in the mountains, shopping... etc. That country is an amazing place but what stood out the most to me was how nice everyone is! It's crazy. MH and I almost moved there too. One of my professors lived in NZ for 10 years and had some connections for me to go to grad school there. We were serious about it, even found some nice apartments to rent. Unfortunately the connections never came through (they didn't take me seriously). I'm still bummed 2 years later...

@wrensnest I want to visit Ireland! (anywhere outside of the U.S. would be nice actually). I just found out via DNA genetic testing and I am like 75% Irish, and didn't know that, so I totally want to visit now! Haha So sorry for your spotting! Hopefully it's nothing!
@lin0442 Hope your H feels better soon! Hope you don't catch it either. Take it easy! Can you believe I have never been to NYC? And I actually don't care to visit. Maybe just for central park. But the thought of navigating there scares the crap out of me!

@LJMoon6 5 day layover in NZ sounds AWESOMESAUCE! How cool!! That is SO sad for them to get your hopes up like that! That would have been an amazing experience. @galactickates I definitely notice it, but that doesn't mean there are more. I always see pregnant women and newborns everywhere. Also, I live with a provincial park in my backyard. It isn't as beautiful as Yosemite, but I totally get

I can't believe I didn't think of New Zealand! My friends and I used to joke that we would create a mink farm there (one of my friends' dad was a mink farmer) and live in hobbit holes. Amazingly, that dream has not materialized...

@wrensnest That's a lot of spotting. It may be beneficial to see a doctor about that to find out why that's happening. How long was your last cycle?

@lin0442 Sorry that you feel sick and moody. I do understand. Hopefully this will subside so you'll be able to take care of YH because we all know that men need that desperately when they are sick haha I kid, but not really.

@Whitmore1027 Huaaaaah! What is this no donut rule you speak of? Yay, I'm so glad you have an appointment for this Friday and don't have to wait until March. I will remind you; don't expect to get much accomplished at this appointment because unfortunately, sometimes it takes a few to get things figured out and get a game plan going. With all of the stress you're dealing with, I don't want you to be disappointed if that happens on Friday. Hugs.

Oooh maybe next cycle, ask the doc to check your P levels at 7dpo. That's not too montainy though. It might be fine.

R/R: Google got the best of me last night. I was looking up what having no symptoms in the tww means when all of the other cycles, there were always pms symptoms like crazy. I need to quit it.

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? Spain or anywhere far from here really. I've been wanting to live abroad somewhere for awhile now. My dream would be to do it for a year to immerse into another culture. I could never be an expat, but I'd love to do this and soon!

Lasy night I just wasn't in the mood to hio then he told me he wasn't in the mood so we just went to bed. He just said "I really want a baby and it's like you're not even trying"

Cue tires screeching... wtf did you just say to me??!?! I just ripped him a new one. I'm so livid right now.

Ouch @galactickates I've had similar conversations with MH. Not exactly verbatim but stings just as much. Uhm hello, am I not the one getting tubes and probes shoved up me every cycle, taking medications that cause me physical problems, etc.?? I'm sorry that happened. I mean, it's not like we can just open our legs and be in the mood 24/7/365!

And judging by what's in your spoiler, YH needs to chill the F out. Hopefully he will apologize. Super hugs coming at you.

Oooh but the doxies! I knew the one on the right, whom is also in your profile photo is a doxie. I've never seen a short haired one. Doxies are such amazing animals. My Mom has one named Jeb. He used to be my Dad's dog. He is long haired and black. He wades through the couch and over you to get up to your neck to give you hugs. And he will just sit there, all day long with his little breathing and looking at you like, "Can I pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase give you a kiss?"

@suzycupcake awww aren't doxies awesome! Lucy our long hair is going to be 3 in may and Buster our short hair just turned 7 in Dec. They are seriously so adorable. When Lucy gets the zoomies we all stand back and watch, including buster lol. Last night she was running around my parents house like a race track and then she would fling herself into her bed and bounce off the side wall of it then get out and do it again on repeat. They are just hilarious to watch.

@suzycupcake Haha! Last cycle H let us get donuts the morning I got a BFN. So, I expected it today, but because 8dpo is SO early (right??), and it could have possibly been a false negative (here's to hoping!), he said we need to wait a few more days and if we get another BFN, THEN we can get donuts. I'm like "why not both?" and he said "lack of monies". Touche! So donuts in a few days then. Haha. Yeah, I know not to expect much! But it's that doctor I don't like, but knows my history at least. Good thing is I do labs at the office at the same time, and they post lab results really quickly online, so I'll get them back fairly quick. But then of course I'll have to go back for a follow-up, but at least it gets things going.
@galactickates What the actual heck?! What a big jerk. That's sooo not the right thing to say!!! And long haired doxies are my fav!!! They are SO CUTE!

GUYS we don't get snow, we get ice trees. IT'S SO COLD AND WET! Pictures of ice and rain in spoilers. We have beautiful white ice trees. My poor pup goes potty so fast and runs back inside. Haha.

@suzycupcake If this cycle really does go like the last one, I will definitely call my OB. Last cycle was 29 days - VERY scant spotting on days 19-29, obvious shift when AF started (which was slightly shorter than usual). It was my first cycle off birth control this time around, so I figured it would be wonky (something similar happened my first cycle off BC back in 2013).

@coco2787 - I have probably explained how cycles work about half a million times. How many times he has listened = obviously 0. A few days after AF left we HIO twice and he was like Do you think those worked? I didn't realize he didn't understand those weren't going to count and had to explain to him I wasn't even close to ovulating... that was all practice...We are going to his parents house this weekend which is a nice 4 hour drive... I think that would be a good time to go over how cycles work again.... maybe it will stick this time. *eye roll*

No, I haven't seen him yet, I got an I love you but no apology. It's coming though. I know my H. My phone died at work from refreshing so much from the drive by post today, so he's been sweating it out. Worth it!!!!

R/R: I have 2 here...! First, our AC has been out for 3 weeks & super duper happy for parts finally shipping and friends for letting us and our FOUR dogs crash their pad!! Second, TMI, this LP has seen a leaky bladder. I can't sneeze without crossing my legs. I even almost wet the bed!! This is ridiculous!

GTKY: If you could live somewhere other than where you currently live, where would it be and why? I don't know! I've never left my home state as an adult and travel regularly so I don't really miss anywhere specific!

@oaklandava - a drive by is when a person who isn't a regular participant creates a thread and is never heard from again. There was a really great one today that got deleted by the bump gods. It was absolutely hilarious and I kept refreshing my phone to see the new comments it ended up draining my battery.

Eta - It was the third implantion thread by the same poster with a new name. I had to check to see if they were still up... but the third post the op went off on everyone. It was so funny
