Thanks everyone My final day6 report is still 3 snowbabies. Would have been nice to bank an extra one but I'll take what I have! Also started AF today (I think it's gonna be a rough one!) so that means I can move onwards now to the next stage. I'd say transfer will be in April xxx GL everyone

Thanks for the support! Yes it’s super annoying when doctors seem surprised that we would have side effects but I’m just moving forward. I had a better monitoring appointment this am. The female doctor at this location actually told me what was happening in there and said I have a bunch of big follicles now including one at 19mm. She said she expects me to trigger tomorrow or Tuesday and not to order more meds. That would be nice! I’ll see what they say when they call with results this afternoon.
@roisis Fabulous!! 3 snow babies!!! Maybe you'll get lucky, my AF was 5 days post ER and only day 2 was a little heavier than normal, but besides that...was a typical Af cycle
@greenhillgirl So good to hear!! I feel your pain, we have 1 doctor in my clinics group that is "all business" and has no filter. On my 2nd to last sonogram I had to see him because he was on call that Saturday. He freaked me out and made me extremely nervous telling me he was worried I was going to get sick and all this stuff. I spent the rest of that weekend freaked out. Luckily, like you, saw my regular nurses that Monday that made that an anxiety go away. Some doctor's, while good, have no bedside manner...esp when dealing with us already with so many hormones going on. Excited for you to get to trigger soon!!!

Ladies I'm officially PUPO and PASP Transfer was literally 5 minutes.. DH said "it's over?" lol.... We transferred 2, one 3AA one 2AA which is great quality. They grade 1-3,3 being the best and A-D. So my embabies were the best. I have 2 ready to freeze and 2 more they are watching to see if they will make it or not. Either way I am so happy til I don't really believe it yet. Acupuncture was not bad at all but for some reason my mind wouldn't fully shut down. I will miss my clinic. But get this, they told me to POAS next Friday which would only be 5dp5dt. I really think that is too too soon. Other than that I feel great just a little cramping here and there which is to be expected.
@roisis yaaaaaaaas for your 3 snowbabies and hopefully AF doesn't be too bad. April will be here sooner than you think.
@greenhillgirl sounds like your party will begin any day. Yaaay for good follies. Let's rock and roll ER!

@greenhillgirl That's great that you get to trigger, sounds like things are going well. My trigger is tomorrow night so I'm just a day behind you. I'm looking forward to being done with all the injections
@roisis Hurray for snowbabies! Best of luck with your FET cycle. I feel fine really, I don't have any pain or discomfort (yet!).
@Elle131 I've the same issue with my right ovary, which is also where most of follies are. The doctor has to poke right at it aaaaaaahhhh!

I have been lurking lately, never seeming to find enough time to respond to everything, but doing my best to keep up with everyone's progress.
@roisis - Congrats on the 3 snow babies! Now just to relax and wait for April!!! Yay!
@mrsa20 - Hooray for 2 transfers! (side note: what does PASP mean? I googled it and couldn't find anything...I'm still learning the language).
@greenhillgirl - I'm on track with you! I triggered last night for ER tomorrow morning!
AFM...It's been a bit of a roller coaster the last few days. I wasn't sure if I would trigger this weekend, but I knew I would run out of meds on Saturday, so Friday I called to get a refill. I was informed the wonderful insurance I previously raved about had a LIFETIME max on fertility meds of $20,000 and I had reached that limit...so my refill was going to cost me $13,000 (which I did not have). After a mini-meltdown, I got in touch with the nurse at my clinic who was able to provide me additional meds. She said women who finish their cycle often donate their leftover meds back to the clinic, so I didn't even have to pay anything for it!!! Hooray for that blessing! On the flipside, it became clear this will be our one and only shot at this, as we do not have the funds to pay for meds out of pocket, and due to my age we are working on strict deadline (I am 45, which is the age limit for your own egg retrieval). Anyway, we were relieved we were able to obtain the meds to at least complete this cycle. Saturday's appt showed a huge spike in follicles for me...10 measurable and 16 total. All along I was hoping for 10 since my doctor had told me at my age 90% of my eggs are "bad". I felt like I needed 10 to have at least 1 "good" one. Progress was far enough along they asked me to return on Sunday as well, and we got the call yesterday afternoon to trigger for Tuesday retrieval (and our follicle count went up to 11 measurable). I am hopeful, but also a little anxious since we now know this is our only chance.
@heddamae that's a great update. Fingers crossed for your retrieval tomorrow. And what a relief that the clinic was able to cover the last couple days of meds!
@mrsa2017 Congrats on being PUPO, fingers crossed for sticky babies!
@ChristenMA83 as it turns out...I had just enough of the meds I had on hand to get me to my trigger last night. So, I will be able to gift the extras back to the clinic for someone else in need. It certainly helped my stress level, though, to know that I was covered either way.
Day 5 embryo update: Of the 5 fertilized embryos: 1 snowbaby on ice 2 Embabies under observation (will update later today or tomorrow) 2 are out of the running.
Stats I researched this morning indicate that only 20-50% of embyros will make it to day 5 blasts. So with my 5 fertilized I'm on par with statistics. Such mixed emotions right now. So happy that one opportunity is in the bank - but disappointed with the results overall.
But if we accomplish the goal in the end - today's numbers don't matter.
@ChristenMA83 Don't lose hope!! FX your 2 that they are still observing come thru! I had only 2 make Day 5 blasts, and rest were Day 6 embryos. So if they can keep a watch on them...you still have hope for the others!

Just got back from my monitoring appointment... I have 18 follies but only about 11 will be ready at time of retrieval... I trigger tonight and my ER is set for Wednesday... this is so exciting and scary at the same time... any tips for ER? Also did any of you go to work the following day? I work in a school and have my own office... I can possibly stay stationary if need be...
@Elle131 Go ahead and start drinking water with electrolytes and gatorade. You'll want to stay really hydrated since you'll be going under. I wouldn't advise working the next day. Some do, but if you have an discomfort, it won't be comfortable. I didn't feel normal for 4 - 5 days later. Days before when I started feeling better, I tried running errands, after only a couple of hours being out I found myself winded. You maybe fine, it's best to take it easy if you can.

@elle131 I echo what Kristimh80 said and add, have a heating pad handy for post egg retrieval. It helped with discomfort. My RE had me alternate Tylenol & Motrin every 2 hours to help with the pain and it pretty much stayed manageable for me.
Hey girls! I’m back from the ER laying in my bed with a heat pack. It went very smooth and I don’t remember anything. I was sedated before going into the op room when woke up I was laying in bed. They got 9 eggs! Out of 10 follies. I’m praying all are excellent quality and all will fertilize. I won’t get another update until tomorrow, so fingers crossed. Thank you so much for all your support! btw, my husband did s great job on the trigger shot, i didn’t even feel it until he was done!
@mrsa2017 congrats! Good luck with the wait. When are you testing?
@ChristenMA83 thinking of you. Praying all three will be excellent quality
@Elle131 I didn’t even need to take pain medicine at least so far (2 hours since the Er). Have s heating pad on. Ate some food and resting now. I’m not going to work for the next two days but I’m pretty sure if you had to you’d be ok.
Oooooo - lots of eggs being retrieved this week @Ilky Yay! Congratulations on getting through the ER! Sounds like they gave you plenty of 'night-night juice' - which is what I like to hear 9 eggs is a great result. I guess try to relax now while you wait for the results. Take it easy and treat yourself well over the next few days @heddamae and @Orlaa Best of luck for ER in the morning @Elle131 I actually took the remainder of the week after ER to work from home. I didn't really need it -but my work can be very flexible and I was worried about OHSS so I thought it was just easier. If you can work from home the day after I would advise to do so - you deserve the rest (physically and emotionally) - but I echo what others have said that if you have to go in you will be able to manage it. I just believe we should be very gentle with ourselves throughout all of this shae44 Wishing you a speedy AF ChristenMA83 One in the bank - Congratulations I realise it can be very disheartening not getting the numbers you want - and I hope you get even better news later on - but it really only does take one, and getting one good embryo to the freezing stage is not easy and it's never a given - so please do take comfort in having your little one on ice just waiting for you

Hi guys. I'm feeling pretty down after my scan last night. I had 26 follicles but the biggest 2 measured 18mm then 2 at 16mm . All the rest were at 14mm at best My doctor told me to go ahead with the trigger anyway, I would have preferred an extra day of stims to allow some follicles to catch up but he's worried about OHSS. I appreciate that it's a serious concern but now I'm afraid I'll end up with only 3 or 4 mature eggs. I feel like he's being over cautious at the expense of all those potential eggs. I can only hope for best I suppose but I understood that follicles have to be at least 16mm to be mature. Has anyone else had success with such small measurements? ER is tomorrow morning so fingers crossed.

Oh! And I'm definitely POAS early since my clinic won't call me for results til next Friday and I get to call and schedule my own beta with my OB.. Now when do you all think I should start testing? I'll be 5dp5dt on Friday.. Minor cramping is my only symptom but I know my little pumpkin seeds are still getting quite comfy in there. My boobs still hurt like I got punched in the tits.... Yikes!

@Orlaa Don't stress too much! Your follicles can grow about 2mm a day, so the 14's have a good chance of being an 18, so they will be mature I know it's frustrating, but that way the 18 will still be a good mature size and not over-mature.
@ChristenMA83 You're braver than me! I didn't wanna know lol But once AF shows, you're system will pretty much flush-out and the weight should come down even more! I swear until then, I looked pregnant, but AF showed and was a huge relief!

Hi ladies! I have had a hard time keeping up with this board as I was traveling for much of last week and for some reason have a difficult time seeing the updates on my phone! I just read up on everyone's progress. Sending good wishes to all who are waiting for retrievals, fertilization and PGS reports!
AFM, I started AF almost a full week early so while traveling last week had a mini panic attack about my stims cycle. Luckily my nurse and dr were very responsive and helped me adjust our plan over the phone. We started BCPs last Friday and will do a follicle check next Monday prior to stopping BCPs, another AF, and starting stims next Sat. Right now I'm just praying for a good resting follicle count on Monday. I have low AMH and always get very nervous about this part.
I'll actually be stimming officially in March now with ER sometime mid-month. Have a great Tuesday!!

@Orlaa and @Elle131 Hooray for ER tomorrow! @Elle131 I was lucky to do my ER on a Friday last time, but I was up and at ‘me immediately the next day. I definitely could have gone to work. I suppose it will depend on if you’re still feeling rotten. My ER was honestly super easy, but I know it’s not for others. I did drink electrolyte-filled drinks almost exclusively the entire weekend.
@Ilky Wow, fantastic fert report! I hope you get great news re: blasts, too!
AFM I’ve been busy busy busy this weekend visiting my RE every day. All is looking good; I’ve got about 14 all around 14-18mm and my RE is pleased with the progress. I trigger tonight an ER on Thursday.

Retrieval went really well and we have 14 eggs for ICSI today. I should know how many fertilized today before we send them off for PGS. I’m so happy and relieved after all the struggles to get there. I was nervous I ovulated early because I wasn’t as bloated this morning. I’m resting now and keeping up on the Tylenol. I have some homemade chicken noodle soup I made ahead and thawed for later. I’m taking off my high stress job tomorrow too and so happy to relax.
@greenhillgirl 14 eggs is a great number!! Fingers crossed that they all fertilize. Chicken noodle soup and a day off tomorrow sound perfect! It's rainy and gross here in Dallas today. Hope you recover well!

Transfer was literally 5 minutes..

AFM Had another scan yesterday morning. I've a whole bunch of follicles, the biggest was 16mm. I've one last scan tomorrow evening and then I trigger tomorrow night for ER Wednesday morning. Getting excited now!

@mrsa2017 Congrats on being PUPO, fingers crossed for sticky babies!

@roisis congrats on 3 embabies!
@mrsa2017. Best of luck!!!
i am still waiting for my period. Hope it comes soon. I am also waiting to hear about PGS results.
Of the 5 fertilized embryos:
1 snowbaby on ice
2 Embabies under observation (will update later today or tomorrow)
2 are out of the running.

I’m not going to work for the next two days but I’m pretty sure if you had to you’d be ok.
good night all
@Ilky Yay! Congratulations on getting through the ER! Sounds like they gave you plenty of 'night-night juice' - which is what I like to hear
@heddamae and @Orlaa Best of luck for ER in the morning
@Elle131 I actually took the remainder of the week after ER to work from home. I didn't really need it -but my work can be very flexible and I was worried about OHSS so I thought it was just easier. If you can work from home the day after I would advise to do so - you deserve the rest (physically and emotionally) - but I echo what others have said that if you have to go in you will be able to manage it. I just believe we should be very gentle with ourselves throughout all of this
shae44 Wishing you a speedy AF

I had 26 follicles but the biggest 2 measured 18mm then 2 at 16mm . All the rest were at 14mm at best

Yikes!

@ChristenMA83 You're braver than me! I didn't wanna know lol But once AF shows, you're system will pretty much flush-out and the weight should come down even more! I swear until then, I looked pregnant, but AF showed and was a huge relief!
@mrsa2017 Safe travels!! I don't blame you, I'd be a POAS addict as well! I don't like surprises and don't know how anyone waits till their beta day.

February 2018: Second IVF stim cycle to start
@heddamae congrats on the good ER. Fingers crossed for fertilization. Relax and recover.
@mrsa2017 I keep telling myself I'll wait for Beta before testing...but deep down I know that's not true.
Positive vibes out to everyone else!!
AFM: Got the call. One more made it to freeze, so we have 2 snowbabies in the bank. I feel much better about that than just the one. Transfer will be the week of March 19th, we're only transferring one. Now I'm just waiting for AF and the next set of meds to start for transfer.
