When I was about sixteen I worked at a tanning Salon with all my best friends. Yuck! Good old Long Island ;)
  • I worked as a florist when I was in high school

  • Cashier at a grocery school from high school til college, when I then transitioned to Starbucks.

Babysitting I think I was 12-13 and that summer got kind of a nanny job for a 5 year old. M-f 8 hours a day.
  • I had a paper route when I was quite young. Next job was at Rona (home improvement store) where I worked for 10 years as a cashier!
  • My dad has a flower stand - now he just opens on holidays but he used to open weekends too.  I worked for him down the stand starting probably around 11?

My first legit job was as a waitress in a banquet hall.  I ended up working for them for 10 years, I loved it!

  • I was 13 and started babysitting everyday after school for a family who had 4 kids under 5 and mom was on bed rest with #5! I loved it! They had all boys and #5 was a surprise-ended up being a girl!

  • Babysitting, then cashier at a record store (loved it, now it’s long gone), then at library. So funny to think back to those times - I must’ve been such a flaky employee! Ha!

  • I worked at a Frozen Yogurt stand in the mall. It was this tiny corner stand that was so cramped when they had two of us there. I was 14. Then I did a pool side concession stand during the summer for 3 years.

  • Autozone, even tho I knew nothing about cars but I guess I just needed to learn how to find the parts and stock shelves.
  • Aside from babysitting, my first real job was a T-shirt shop! I worked with all my high school friends and it was a blast! I still keep in touch with the owners! : )
  • I started at 14 working at a pizza place. I would just answer the phones.
  • Aside from babysitting at 14 my first job was a grocery store at 17.
  • I was 18 and stocked shelves at Michael's at 3 in the morning

  • I volunteered at my local library as a teenager, and the summer I turned 16 they needed a temporary employee due to various reasons.  So, I got paid for a summer to do the same things I had been volunteering to do!

  • Tutored in highschool but my first real job was at Disneyland in all the stores. They asked me to audition for Mulan because back then I looked alot like her but the audition was when I was starting college so never auditioned. One of my regrets in life but college was a good idea too :)
  • My first job was working at Storyland (amusement park mainly for younger children) when I was 16. I absolutely loved it and worked as a rides operator most of the time which involved a lot of dressing up as characters!
Example: Heidi, Cinderellas coachmen, tropical shirts for the back of the park, farmers, the full blown characters walking around the park like humpty dumpty
It was a pretty fun job!!
  • Cleaned at a couple local businesses.
