@Holls214 hey love, thanks for checking in on me. I am drinking coconut water by the half gallons, literally! LOL waiting for another report this morning.
@artemis618 a woman with a plan, I love it. Keep pushing hun! GL with this new cycle.
@roisis I don't have a problem peeing since I have to go multiple times due to me horse backing the coconut water but when I do I cramp just a little. It's day 2 since ER and I feel okay, just have to take it easy when I walk and I have this heating pad handy. I'm 3 days away from ET so I'm giving myself until Saturday to feel atleast 90%.
I'm so afraid of all those needles being stick everywhere but I'm here for helping with implantation of my embabies. I want to be cool calm and relaxed. Anyone watched Fifty Shades Freed? I forgot to say " MY BOOBS HURT LIKE A MUTHA" I feel like they have been like this for forever and 2 days.

@mrsa2017 After having so many real needles in you over the last 2 weeks the accu needles will be a breeze! Seriously - they are teeny tiny little things, and if they are uncomfortable you can just ask them to remove a few. Small cramps are still normal I reckon at this stage - as long as you're not getting worse it sounds like your'e doing great I just had a rather happy appointment at my clinic - which are rare so - Yay! My ovaries are shrinking!!! Thats means no OHSS. And of my 8 ferts I have 7 strong candidates as of today (Day3). They said 5 are categorised as excellent and 2 as very good! DH is actually paranoid - he just asked me 'Why is this going so much better than last time?'. I don't care why - I'm just happy today I had the two docs having a conversation with each other about how great I was doing - My RE actually winked at me! I'd be borderline offended if I wasn't so freakin impressed with him right now

@roisis glad you're feeling better today. Congrats on the awesome day 3 report!!
@mrsa2017 congrats on a great fert report! Yay for 11 embies! When do you transfer? I feel you with the boob tenderness! My nipples feel like needles!
AFM: I just got off the phone with the clinic. Of the 9 retrieved, 8 were mature and 5 fertilized with ICSI. I'll get a call from the doc Saturday with the next report. Thank you all for the pep talks I think I would feel a little better about where I am if it hadn't been so good through monitoring. I kinda suspect I should have stimmed for one more day. But I'm still in the running, just not as comfortable as I expected to be.
As for recovery, I'm doing really well. Some mild discomfort but not much worse than an average period. I'm surprised and thankful on this front.
Still off work until Monday so I've got to figure out how to keep myself distracted.
My embabies babysitter called and all 11 are still growing and looking like good qualities she said .. Grow embabies grow..
@roisis that was my day 3 report as well. Your embabies are doing great. Tell your husband don't ask questions just be happy I actually am getting excited to try it with a bit of fear still lingering but I've heard such good things about acupuncture. I feel so much better today just mild cramping and woo-hoo for no OHSS lady.
@kristimh80 we went to watch it last night and DH actually said it was good, that shocked me. Then he asked if we can do you know what and it was Soooooo good. He was very gentle and I didn't hurt so that was good. My libido is on the way up I guess LOL
@ChristenMA83 Yaaaay embabies.. Keep growing, keep growing Adding* I transfer on Sunday. These boobs will not be a sign if it worked or not because they already hurt so freaking bad.

Thursday, close to Friday! Welcome back @artemis618 and I'm sorry to hear of your continued struggles. It sounds smart to convert the IVF to IUI if that is the best option. We are hear to help listen if you need it.
@sparkle0404 how exciting to be in the 2WW! It sounds like you have some good plans to make it go quickly.
@mrsa2017 I loved acupuncture! It was super relaxing and nice to have someone who understands a different perspective of how our bodies work. I had to stop because my acupuncturist stopped evening shifts at my local wellness center, but hopefully you will enjoy it.
I'm struggling on day 7 of stims. Last night I started to get nauseous and couldn't lay on my side anymore comfortably. My stomach is getting big and I feel so out of it. I stood in the elevator in my building for 5 mins last night before realizing I had to push a button. Then I lost my wallet but found it at the store I bought dinner this morning. Trying to realize I'm only a little over half way there and not be a baby, but damn this sucks. I got an initiative through at work I'd been working on for 6+ months but my brain no working now to do stuff.
Tonight they up my Menopur to 3 vials and I add Cetrotide and then tomorrow morning monitoring. Please hope for me this goes quick and any tips for dealing with symptoms are appreciated!
@mrsa2017 Wonderful news!!! My RE told us we had to be celibate for 14 days after In hindsight I was glad because everything still hurt lol

@ChristenMA83 I hope your embies keep growing strong and that you get good news on Saturday, it only takes one!
@mrsa2017 only a few more days until transfer, so exciting! Do you have any plans for the TWW or will it just be back to normal life? Does your clinic recommend anything in particular?
@greenhillgirl I'm suffering from a bit of ivf-brain myself. I'm completely distracted all the time and even more forgetful than usual. To make things worse I had to do my driving test yesterday and so I've spent the past few days alternating between worrying about that and the IVF. Symptoms-wise I've been lucky enough so far, just an annoying headache, but I'm only on day 5 so it could all be around the corner.
AFM I had my mid-stimming check up today. I've 13 follies on one side and 6 on the other. The biggest is 11mm at the moment and the doctor is worried I could end up with too many small, poor quality follies so he's reduced my dosage for the moment and I'll go back on Saturday to see how things are going. For now we're aiming for ER on Wednesday. I'm happy with the number of follicles but also hoping all (or most) of those little ones catch up.
I'm 34, SO 39 TTC since July 2015 Unexplained infertility - delayed/weak ovulation but don't know why BFP Feb 2016 MC at 6.5 weeks Started Clomid November 2016 BFP March 2017 (third cycle on Clomid) HCG failed to rise, MC at 6 weeks. IUI July 2017 BFP which turned out to be CP IVF scheduled for Feb 2018
@orlaa good luck with your reduced dosage. I can't imagine taking a driving test during all this! How did it go?? I just text DH "my belly now sits on my stomach when I pee" then "Wait. My belly now sits on my thighs when I pee." Brain fog is real!
@orlaa I’m so interested in how REs decide dosage increases/decreases to regulate everything. What happens when they decrease your dose, did he say? Mine increased my dose slightly yesterday but I don’t have an explanation and now I’m curious what happens when one increases vs. decreases.
@Orlaa Sounds like you're on a good track with your doctor! I think mine started me on too high of a dosage at first which resulted in too many eggs and not the best quality. Much better than have a lower # and good healthy one's. Luckily, they grow up to 2mm a day, so by Saturday, they may adjust your dosage again. Mine lowered mine at the end by 1/2, then on my 1st trigger day, they had me take an extra dose for a "boost" in the morning before stopping everything besides the Trigger.

@greenhillgirl Well the good thing is I only have 2 sessions, pre and post transfer, and if I don't like it then I don't have to anymore but I'm thinking if I do like it, they don't do acupuncture back home I believe. I will have to check up on that. Can you do it during pregnancy?
@kristimh80 I just told DH how I didn't really "feel" the stimming phase til like the very end when I felt heavy. I had siked myself up for this bloat that I never got ... And surprisingly sex was so calming LOL I'm weird!
@Orlaa I'm so glad you brought that up because I don't really know. I guess they will give me instructions after the transfer. Also we fly back to the states first thing Monday morning then home Tuesday morning. I have to email them if I'm pregnant or not. I graduate to my OB right after transfer... Kinda sucks! Good check up today.
So I was wondering if the supplements I took up until I started to stim affected the amount of eggs I got. I have PCOS and I was almost sure I was going to get an abundance of immature eggs but surprisingly I didn't and I'm wondering if I have the supplements to thank. My numbers to me was good, like really good. I want to advocate for those supplements to help others but I want to be sure that they were really what helped. I was on those supplements like 4 months. What do you ladies think? With my diagnosis and my numbers

@artemis618. Heeeeyyy!!! Nice to see you back at it, friend! @greenhillgirl. I remember you, too! You are so. Close to trigger.... Hang in there.... one day at a time, you'll get through this part, ER will be like a dream, and you'll be PASP before you know it! ❤
@Bababatty Found you!!! So excited to see how things are coming along.... (((hugs)))
@greenhillgirl I actually passed! To be honest I drove and parked pretty badly because I was so nervous and flustered but the examiner let me pass anyway. He said he'd put it down to nerves and also said I batted my eyelashes so he couldn't say no (?!?!) Normally I'd find a comment like that insulting but at that moment I just thought Viva L'Italia! It's pretty common behaviour here
@Bababatty My doctor said he'd lower the dose because I already had so many follies he didn't want to risk OHSS, but the follies I have are quite small so he wants to give them a chance to grow - I guess it's about finding a balance. He also said we can always raise it again if necessary.
@kristimh80 Yes he was pretty cautious from the start and said he'd like to aim for 6 - 10 eggs which I thought was too few, but of course if I got that many good quality embies I'd be delighted, so again it comes back to quality versus quantity.
@mrsa2017 I'd be interested in knowing what supplements you were taking, in case this cycle doesn't work out. Every little helps I guess and I have mild PCOS.

That's the Spreadsheet for February. Not all have filled it out, but it helps
@mrsa2017 It could also be that your doctor was good about not over-stimming you and keeping your ovaries at a steady rate. My body loved Menopur, so next time I will ask / make sure they do a lower amount of that

@mrsa2017 I’m also open to hearing about new supplements. I’m currently on CoQ10, PNVs, and Vitamin D—but that only because DH is and the gummies are delicious.
@BusinessWife You found me!! Yaaaaay! I miss you and I really can’t wait to join you on PAIF. Are you participating on that board?
@Orlaa That makes sense! Hopefully the lower dosage does the trick in terms of slowing it down. I don’t envy the REs having to make strategic decisions every day for every single one of their patients, but I really appreciate that they do it. Also, congratulations on passing your test!!
AFM I had another u/s this morning and things are moving. This RE didn’t measure all my follies—only the 3 biggest on each side—so I’ve no idea what’s really going on. He assured me I have more than 3 on the right side, all around 11-12, but it sounds like left ovary needs to get itself in gear. Humph. I’ll find out bloodwork and next steps later today.
@Orlaa I took myo-inositol, coq10, Prenatals and melatonin some nights. Also did the whole eating healthy thing tho I cheated ALOT lol.
@kristimh80 I must give them their credit. My clinic has a high success rate especially for only being opened for 15 years. My RE did well with my protocol.
Update: So today 9 have progressed from the 11 yesterday. The embryologist said that 2 are still as they were yesterday and that they are focusing on the 9 which are good quality. No more updates til Day 5 - transfer day! Come on embabies hang on for mama..

***TW*** PAIF mentioned <div class=" Spoiler">It's set up in trimester threads, so I'm still active on the first tri thread, in a few short weeks to be over on the second tri! Unbelievable, right? I'm at 10+5 today, so we're humming along...</div> So glad to see today's scan went well! I'll be curious to see if they up your dose tonight...
Orlaa That's great you passed! Haha, why not, right? Bat those eyelashes!
@BusinessWife I remember you too- hi! Passing one another on a long journey. Sigh.
I'm feeling pretty down. I had a jerk doctor for monitoring this am that said he was shocked I had "brain fog" and felt out of it and should have told my doctor. He made a snide comment about talking to people online when I said others said that is a symptom. The nurses and other staff are great but the doctors are kind of jerks. Later my doctor and the nurse said that is a symptom.
I got my doctor to call me and talk through stuff. Apparently I'm not responding that fast and don't have as many follicles or size he would hope to see of someone with my stats. I have a large one I'll probably lose even though I'm now on Cetrotide because it will mature too much while we wait to see if some others will grow. As of last night they have me on evening 3 vials of Menopur up from 2 and Cetrotide now and the same 225 IU of Gonal F. I feel sad I wanted to grow all the eggs and thought since I don't have an infertility dx myself I might be able to. This is a hard experience.
@BusinessWife Nope! Same dose, but adding in cetrotide. It wasn’t my RE this morning but I expect to see him at monitoring on Sunday, so I’m going to ask then if he’s concerned. I guess for now he seems happy that all are growing at the same pace, which I am, too.
@greenhillgirl I’m sorry that you had a jerk doctor this morning and that you’re not responding as well as you or your RE want. This is very hard, especially when you have no reason to think you wouldn’t respond well. There’s a lot of heartache and disappointment and frustration. I wish I had something good to say that could help, but just know that we all understand and we’re rooting for you. When do you go back in for monitoring?
Hi girls! My ER is set to Monday so triggering tomorrow. I’m so glad that there is only few more shots left because my stomach cannot take anymore! I explained my hubby how to do the HCG and he almost fainted! Just from description and showing needle. I think I’m in trouble gotta learn how to do it myself and risk him passing out in the middle of the shot and wasting medication. It’s so important ugh I don’t know. What did you guys do?
@Bababatty okay, that's great! Sounds like you're coming along just fine - it's still early, and follis continue to mature even after trigger. I responded a little slower than they expected too, (I think), but it all worked out in the end. ;)
@greenhillgirl. I'm so sorry the doctor was a jerk. I love my doctor, but she still said some things that rubbed me the wrong way... I tried to chalk it up to the o ersensitivity of the situation + all the hormones but ya... Hang in there. Like I said, it took me a little longer to cook, but it all worked out okay ❤ (((hugs)))
@Ilky YAY!!! So excited for you!! Is you clinic open tomorrow? If so, they can always mix your trigger shot for you and put an X on where to put it. Mine always offered that, which I thought was nice. Plus it beats having to mix the shot yourself with that 1 huge needle. Ice the area good and you can do it yourself. I had to once because I didn't believe my husband got it all in lol

@kristimh80 thank you! yes, they are open Im going in tomorrow for more ultrasound and blood test. The nurse said she will mark the spot but said dont mix the shot until about trigger time?!?! hmm...I'll ask again tomorrow. I kind of wanted my husband to be involved in this process and gave him the chance to do something for me. But, seeing him fidgeting and getting nervous makes me think I will be better off doing myself haha!
Also, do any of you experienced e2 going down about 10% prior trigger shot? mine is lower than what they had measured on wednesday, and that got me worried now...i guess everything worries me lol
@greenhillgirl I'm so sorry you're feeling low - you're really having a tough time with this over the last while Just hang in there - it's only a few more days and then this week will just be a memory. It's unfortunate that some professionals can be jerks - I really think they need to cop on that we extra understanding at this time - not arrogant remarks! At least your own doc and nurses are good - hopefully you won't have to meet that prick again - and if you do - just don't talk to him! You can do this - you've come so far already @Ilky Yay for the last few days of shots! I always gave myself my shots so I wasn't relying on DH. My trigger this time (Suprefact) was really easy - no mixing involved, but I used Pregnyl last time - the only problem I had was opening the vials! Is it still sub-cutaneous? It shouldn't be any more difficult than any other shots? I still just had to put it in the tummy like the Gonal-F - I'm wondering from your description that may things are different for you guys? (everything seems to be just a little different for me here!) @Orlaa Congrats on passing your test!! That's an amazing thing to achieve in the middle of all this How are feeling at this stage? @mrsa2017 9 embies - yay! Grow, grow, grow little guys No more updates for me until day 6 (tomorrow) when they'll call and let me know how many made it to freeze @Elle131 How are you getting on? Did you get a confirmed date for ER yet? @ChristenMA83 Wishing you good news today GL everyone

They're keeping an eye on 2 more for tomorrow - one is at blast but doesn't look great quality, the other is good quality but growing slower - so it is possible we'll get another into the freezer - but for the moment I'll take 3 and be happy! Thanks for the reminder @BusinessWife! It also reminded me that my RE didn’t want me to grow a bunch fast, so presumably this is what he intended and that makes me happy.
@Ilky Good luck with your trigger tonight! DH did mine and I was the one who was on the verge of a panic attack, but it went very smoothly and didn’t hurt at all. On the videos online they show people doing it themselves so if you have to it shouldn’t be a problem. My biggest concern was the spot, but it’s great that your nurse will mark it for you!
@roisis Many triggers over here are intramuscular so it’s a longer needle and awkward positioning. Also HOORAY!! congratulations on your snowbabies!!
@roisis Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! 3 embabies woo-hoo! .... When do you start prepping for your FET? Adding*
@greenhillgirl Healthcare professionals should be the most compassionate and sensitive people when dealing with their patients. I can't fathom how some have them have the most nastiest bedside manner. We know you have to offer not so good news sometimes and you don't want your feelings involved but geesh atleast know what to say and how to speak to your patients going through what they're going through. Everyone won't be so nice and loving hun so ignore the stupid ones but do get the information you want from them because IVF ain't cheap
@Ilky trigger day! Just ice, remember to breathe deeply and inject.

Hello everyone, you guys are all rocking it!!!! I’m still stimming... day 8 my ER is either Wednesday or Thursday @roisis congrats on your snowbabies!!!
So far I have 13 follies growing... my right ovary keeps hiding so it hurts when my doc tries to count... lately I’ve just been peeing a lot, heaviness and mild pain in ovaries...
Re: February 2018 IVF

@sparkle0404 how exciting to be in the 2WW! It sounds like you have some good plans to make it go quickly.
@mrsa2017 I loved acupuncture! It was super relaxing and nice to have someone who understands a different perspective of how our bodies work. I had to stop because my acupuncturist stopped evening shifts at my local wellness center, but hopefully you will enjoy it.
roisis Good luck and keep us posted!

@roisis you're doing great well done!

@kristimh80 I just told DH how I didn't really "feel" the stimming phase til like the very end when I felt heavy. I had siked myself up for this bloat that I never got

(((hugs)))

So glad to see today's scan went well! I'll be curious to see if they up your dose tonight...
I feel sad
It's Friday, though! Yay.
@greenhillgirl. I'm so sorry the doctor was a jerk. I love my doctor, but she still said some things that rubbed me the wrong way... I tried to chalk it up to the o ersensitivity of the situation + all the hormones but ya... Hang in there. Like I said, it took me a little longer to cook, but it all worked out okay ❤ (((hugs)))

Also, do any of you experienced e2 going down about 10% prior trigger shot? mine is lower than what they had measured on wednesday, and that got me worried now...i guess everything worries me lol
@Ilky Yay for the last few days of shots! (everything seems to be just a little different for me here!)
@Orlaa Congrats on passing your test!! That's an amazing thing to achieve in the middle of all this

So far I have 13 follies growing...
my right ovary keeps hiding so it hurts when my doc tries to count... lately I’ve just been peeing a lot, heaviness and mild pain in ovaries...
