GUYS. OMG. I am SOOOOOO behind. I HATE mobile bumping, and don't even have the app, so I basically have been waiting to get back here to work to get on again. I think ya'll know the big stuff. we have five embryos that we are waiting for PGS results. I had baselines for FET Monday and a check next Wednesday, with FET tentatively scheduled for the 2nd of March.
We came home to a cluster. Apparently the battery in our thermostat dies while we were gone. So even tough we had set a good temp for our house when we left, when the battery died, nothing regulated the heat. So the heat never turned on, and an ice storm rolled through. You know what that means! We had a pipe burst under the house. We had no idea till the utility company called and asked WTF we were doing that was making our meter spin (bless them for actually doing something and letting us know!) Anyway, that's been a terrible situation to deal with. Luckily we've been renting this year, so we don't have to fix the pipe, I don't think. But landlords are on vacation and they have to wait till they get back for permission to fix it? So it's like, duct taped up. And still leaking. Our utility bill is 1200 (it's normally 150), so I'm hoping they can work with us, here.

AFM had a mock transfer yesterday and they got the catheter in within a minute! It was super quick and painless! My surgery worked!!! Never thought I’d be happier to say I have a stretched out cervix! Woohoo!! All good for my FET on 3/7 I started my estrace today and begin PIO 5 days before transfer! Yay!

@beachbunnyxo123 , OMG, YAY! I am so glad it was so easy! YAS! I cannot wait for your transfer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ours is tentatively scheduled for the 1st. So we actually will land at like, 1 am that morning, have the transfer early and then I'll be on bed rest the rest of the day flying out the next day late afternoon.

*lurking lurker* @KristoKekerooni we had a similar issue and couldn’t get a plumber out on a holiday weekend. The Flex Seal tape (as seen on tv) is miraculous. They carry it at Home Depot and Lowe’s. Hope this helps since the duct tape isn’t cutting it. (Not going to lie, it works well enough that getting a plumber is still on my to do list.)

@beachbunnyxo123 , right now, not too much. Synthroid, prednisone, Lovenox injection, prenatals, low dose naltrexone, and estradiol. And then Next Monday I should start HCG boosters, PIO, prograf, cleocin, & endometrin, I think that's it....
what about you? Fair warning if you do Lovenox, it burns, inject slowly.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): 3rd IUI after Femara and Ovidrel.
How are things going?: They are going much better now that I'm not doing Clomid anymore
Any questions?: Yes. Being that 50% of cases of IF are a male factor, is it enough that the RE only tested my husband's sperm and nothing else? I've been doing a lot of research. Shouldn't a hormone panel and maybe some ultrasounds on him or something along those lines be done too? As we near our 4th treatment cycle, I'm a bit nervous wondering if that was enough testing for him.

@suzycupcake if the SA came back with normal count, motility and morphology there isn't really a reason to do more testing because there aren't any problems with the sperm that would cause IF. Low morph is one of the issues we are dealing with and even with that our RE didn't recommend any further testing beyond a SA because it would take time and money but wouldn't change our treatment plan

@suzycupcake Same here we only did a SA and his blood work for hormones.. we are dealing with low count and low morph.. that’s all they needed from him.

I HATE mobile bumping, and don't even have the app, so I basically have been waiting to get back here to work to get on again.
I think ya'll know the big stuff. we have five embryos that we are waiting for PGS results. I had baselines for FET Monday and a check next Wednesday, with FET tentatively scheduled for the 2nd of March.
We came home to a cluster. Apparently the battery in our thermostat dies while we were gone. So even tough we had set a good temp for our house when we left, when the battery died, nothing regulated the heat. So the heat never turned on, and an ice storm rolled through. You know what that means! We had a pipe burst under the house. We had no idea till the utility company called and asked WTF we were doing that was making our meter spin (bless them for actually doing something and letting us know!) Anyway, that's been a terrible situation to deal with. Luckily we've been renting this year, so we don't have to fix the pipe, I don't think. But landlords are on vacation and they have to wait till they get back for permission to fix it? So it's like, duct taped up. And still leaking. Our utility bill is 1200 (it's normally 150), so I'm hoping they can work with us, here.

@KristoKekerooni we had a similar issue and couldn’t get a plumber out on a holiday weekend. The Flex Seal tape (as seen on tv) is miraculous. They carry it at Home Depot and Lowe’s. Hope this helps since the duct tape isn’t cutting it. (Not going to lie, it works well enough that getting a plumber is still on my to do list.)

@beachbunnyxo123 , right now, not too much. Synthroid, prednisone, Lovenox injection, prenatals, low dose naltrexone, and estradiol. And then Next Monday I should start HCG boosters, PIO, prograf, cleocin, & endometrin, I think that's it....
what about you? Fair warning if you do Lovenox, it burns, inject slowly.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): 3rd IUI after Femara and Ovidrel.
How are things going?: They are going much better now that I'm not doing Clomid anymore
Any questions?: Yes. Being that 50% of cases of IF are a male factor, is it enough that the RE only tested my husband's sperm and nothing else? I've been doing a lot of research. Shouldn't a hormone panel and maybe some ultrasounds on him or something along those lines be done too? As we near our 4th treatment cycle, I'm a bit nervous wondering if that was enough testing for him.
GTKY: In the spirit of the games, what is your favorite winter Olympic event to watch? When I used to watch the olympics, it was figure skating.

@suzycupcake if the SA came back with normal count, motility and morphology there isn't really a reason to do more testing because there aren't any problems with the sperm that would cause IF. Low morph is one of the issues we are dealing with and even with that our RE didn't recommend any further testing beyond a SA because it would take time and money but wouldn't change our treatment plan
@suzycupcake Same here we only did a SA and his blood work for hormones.. we are dealing with low count and low morph.. that’s all they needed from him.
@KristoKekerooni Like @jrm_14 naltrexone boggles my mind that’s its used for IVF and used to help opioid addicts and alcoholics with withdrawals. I really need to google that. Also sorry about your pipes hope everything worked out! But stoked your moving forward!!
