Well after the whole craziness of the ultrasound showing a gestational sac and no fetus, testing my hormones (65000hcg), going in two days later to have more blood work done (down to 56000), the doctor has said that this is a missed pregnancy/blighted ovum.
I was hoping to pass the the sac naturally but after a weekend of trying to prep and throw my daugter’s 2nd birthday party and having wicked pain, I decided to schedule a d&c. It will be this Friday. I have read so many horror stories about the medication and I just opted for the procedure.
I’m so grateful to have had our interactions, even through brief. I wish the loss boards were more active but they aren’t a lot of help right now.
I am so very sorry to hear this. I did find some comfort with the TTCAL ladies in December, and I believe there is (unfortunately) a pretty active weekly TTCAL thread on the Trying To Concieve board. The ladies I met there totally get it, and were there for me when I joined a club no one ever thinks they will be in. Please don't hesitate to reach out or feel that you're alone... ❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll be thinking of you. GL on Friday. I hope the physical and emotional healing comes quickly.

Gosh I am so sorry to hear this. For what it's worth I had the same debate with my loss in September and my d&c went very smoothly with quick recovery. Hoping the same for you

So terribly sorry for your loss and the need for the procedure. When (if) you’re ready, I agree with BusinessWife that TTGP board does have an active and very supportive TTCAL thread.
I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve had two D&C’s with my losses and was glad I opted for that over medication. I hope your procedure ends the awful physical pain for you. I second checking out the TTCAL boards/threads if you feel up to it. They are very supportive during a terrible time.
I'm so sorry...I've been thinking about you and hoping things were looking up. Thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope the procedure is uneventful.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum followed by a D&C, and for me the procedure and recovery were very smooth. Take care of yourself. ((Hugs))

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope the procedure goes smoothly and without any complications afterward. I think there’s a tendency to share bad experiences moreso than when things go like they’re supposed to, and maybe that’s why there are lots of scary d&c stories out there. Sending good thoughts to you

I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words. My procedure yesterday went so well. I have had no pain and little spotting. I am feeling a million times better, emotionally and physically. I could not have asked for this to go any better.
Thank you to those who referred me to the TTTC board. I’ve been lurking and I feel like they will be a great support when we start trying again.
