My SO is awesome because he will voluntarily sleep on the couch when I'm sick or am having a lot of joint pain so I can get a good night's sleep without him being a velcro husband.
My SO is such an amazing person- he’s brilliant, loving, and so incredibly supportive. We’ve been together for almost 12 years now (omg), and have been through a lot- but our relationship has always been solid. He’s helped me through some gnarly depression episodes, and this horrible TTC journey, and has always been so good to me. He’s a good man, and will make an amazing father.
My H is my absolute best friend in the world. Sometimes he isn't as affectionate as I would like, but he finds his own ways of showing love. One of them being that he makes me coffee every single morning. He used to write me love notes that he would roll up and stick through the handle of my coffee cups - I would affectionately call love scrolls. I haven't gotten one in awhile though. This morning I grabbed my coffee and found his fortune from last on the lid:
WTH is FUP? I kept running the saying through my head good things come to those who F* up? What a weird note... On my way into work I pulled it out of my pocket and Flipped up *head smack*
Mh is the best! He always is putting me first no matter what. I can just always tell he's thinking of what will make me happiest or more comfortable or whatever, and not how it's going to affect him. Also, he always makes me laugh.
@catlady2015 So sweet! I like to think my H does that but he really just stays up later than me and falls asleep on the couch. hahaha. It's nice that he gives you that space when needed! It's nice having the bed to yourself. @lin0442 SO sweet! @galactickates OMG. That made me laugh sooo loud when I read your "WTH is FUP?" I was wondering that too, thought it was an inside joke, but "Flip up" makes sense. Hahaha! @rosebud332 How wonderful!! I love guys that like to make you laugh!
My H is amazing. He is the MOST patient man to me. I can be so mean, grumpy and crappy, and he is always calm and sweet. He never yells, he is the communicator. When I am mad I don't like to talk and he is the one who pushes to communicate. He daily reassures his love for me, and recognizes all the work I do for the family. If I am craving any foods or drinks, he always gets it for me. He works super hard to support us and to make sure we have everything we need. He loves to make people laugh so he is always doing things to crack me up. He cares sooo much for his family, especially his mom and grandma. He is such a gentlemen!
MH is so compassionate and always puts others before himself. I have literally seen him give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He always makes sure that the dog and I am taken care of and he works so hard for us to have the life we have. He is also hysterical and we are always laughing.

@galactickates I had to re-read it but pretty sure YH simply wrote "FLIP" not "FUP" (as some code to mean flip up). The L & I are connected to look like a "U". At least I would assume so. Either way... super cute!
ETA: if you look at the message written on the back you can see a similar almost "U" in the word LIFE

@lurvleybunchococonuts omg I'm dying laughing, you are totally right! I'm seriously crying at my desk laughing. It took a whole team to decipher H's hand writing.
@catlady2015, DH and I fight over who gets to sleep on the couch, it is so ridiculously comfortable.
DH has been really great lately with dealing with all my bitter emotions and cheering me up. He has been really loving and affection lately, which I need to work on. And I love his relationship with my parents.
@galactickates Way to make a girl on artificial hormones cry!
@catlady2015@holly321 For now, we have a guest room. While both beds are nice, ours is better. MH lets me sleep in there partly bc I tell him my joints feel best on that bed.
@Whitmore1027 I have to remind myself MH’s dedication to his family is overall a positive thing.
Aside from the sappy crap in the IF thread (MH being supportive this last weekend above & beyond what he usually is) & him giving me my shot last night), he brought me home chocolate covered strawberries from or local chocolatier. These strawberries are aaaaaamazing. So, he spent the extra time to think of me and go out of his way to get them.
Today, he took off work early to take care of something we neeeed done. He makes me coffee every workday. The list goes on- he is in my good graces lately
@jrm_14 those strawberries sound so delicious! How sweet! YH sounds awesome Also isn't having your coffee ready to go in the morning the most incredible thing in the world. It sounds so simple but it's so nice being able to drink it on the way into work. If he didn't make it. I wouldn't have enough time. Those little things mean so much.
Eta - I really enjoyed reading how awesome everyone's SOs are. It put me in such a lovey dovey mood.
Also @josie12367 men can be like sour patch kids, first they're sour then sweet lol I'm sure the sweetness will come.
There can be so many loves in life, but he is that one love that will never ever be found again. He is constant, trustworthy, faithful, literally a genius, make me laugh every day, and is the greatest friend in life. Though I would never ask him to do everything for me, he would. In honor of Valentine's Day, I will say that he is the only man who truly makes life sweet!

@galactickates I am still laughing out loud to that. My H's handwriting is horrible, I can never tell what he writes. I am glad we figured it out! @lurvleybunchococonuts I can see how it says "Flip" now, before I just that is said "F up" for "Flip up", but I can see the upper case L now! hahaha!
@galactickates I thought of your discussion the other day on weird husbands. I read the saying on my tea bag to MH: “The difference between a weed and a flower is perspective.” To which he retorted “The difference between a fart and a turd is that extra push.” Oh. My. Husband. So deep.
This thread is my favorite lol @jrm_14 that is seriously something my H would say. One time we were on this beautiful drive to the beach and I look over and my H has this smile on his face. I thought "wow this is really nice" then he says out of no where "faaaaaaaaaaaarts" he'd been having a conversation in his head and didn't realize he had said it out loud....
I’m drinking wine and laughing so hard right now. MH has asked me why

I left home at 18 for the military. My husband and I met at our first base, and had only dated a couple of months before he asked me to marry him. I married him two weeks after I turned 20. With the military having 70%+ divorce rate...we were told many times we'd never make it.
We're complete opposites...He's angry and short tempered where as I'm calm, and hard to make angry. He's quick to make decisions, and I'm so indecisive it literally pains him...lol. I love veggies and he's all meat and potatoes...but that's what makes him so special to me. I'm a goody goody and he's nothing but trouble. He pushes my boundaries...and my temper. Makes me think about things in ways I wouldn't have. And what's more is that he's constantly in my corner. His heart is so loyal and forgiving even when I've hurt him. He's my own personal cheerleader, motivator, mentor, and therapist.
We've travelled all over this world together. Lived in places where we only had each other to depend on. We've survived almost four years of our ten year marriage apart due to deployments, trainings, and temporary assignments. But I tell you what ladies...He's worth it. Every single second of struggle, every tear, every lonely night spent alone when he's away.
I tell him every year on our anniversary that if I could do this life over...I'd still choose him. He is literally my best friend
@josie12367 Thank you both for your service. So many goosies right now
