@krashke that thread would be entertaining for sure. Yesterday at work, I was prepping diets and kept having to go check who is running the next day. One of my coworkers was in the kitchen and just dying laughing. I was like "okay Amara is running tomorrow" walk back to the counter "wait who is running tomorrow, oh Amara" do something else for two minutes "hold on which cat is running tomorrow.. oh it's Amara"
And @Austenista That's amazing! I find myself flushing the toilet at least 2-3 times now. Sorry water footprint.

Anyone else dying to know what Kylie named her baby? Mostly to make sure that it's not something on my list! But I doubt Kylie would consider anything as basic as what I like.
Also from the UO's I think it is more unpopular that I like the Kardashian's.

I got some kinesiology tape before coming to work this morning. I ordered a support band yesterday, but I woke up to more pain and I could not wait any longer. I could barely sleep bc my hips hurt so bad. Why can't you just be pregnant why does everything have to feel horrible.
@ffw0617 I just ordered some this morning and going to have a PT friend do a demo for DH to learn. It’s helped me a lot in the past so I have really high hopes for it to buy me another couple of months without the misery...
@ffw0617 add me to the hip pain while sleeping! It doesn't even matter which one I'm sleeping on, it's like the one not getting slept on is killing me! Do you think that's from them preparing or what?
@stephcat421 I'd guess so. I'm def going to complain to my doctor about the pain, I know they can recommend PTs for PGP. We read this blog (below) and watched a couple youtube videos before putting it on. It def provided immediate relief. I also brought a inner tube to work (very professional I know), but just being able to lay forward and get some of the pressure off my hips even if only for 5 minutes helps a ton. IDK where this came from I was fine this weekend and woke up yesterday to the worst pain. https://diaryofafitmommy.com/kinesio-taping-during-pregnancy-techniques-for-the-pregnant-belly/
@stephcat421 That describes exactly what I'm dealing with re: hip pain. @ffw0617 thanks for sharing that link. I've never used that tape before. I'm going to ask ask my OB about a PT referral too.
Has anyone ever had an umbilical hernia? I seem to have a slight protrusion above my belly button that I can't remember having with my first. I noticed it last night and it was gone in the morning until I coughed and now it's back again. I see the doctor for a scan today so I'll ask about it but wondered if others had experienced anything like this?
@Lolalipsy, my dad just had surgery about two weeks ago for an umbilical hernia. Unfortunately he's not sure if it worked, so he may have to go back. They didn't use mesh the first time. I've heard it's more common in women who have been pregnant. Sounds like what might be going on with you. But for what it's worth, it was an outpatient surgery, and he was really only uncomfortable/had pain for two days after. Not sure what the recommendation is after fixing it as far as future pregnancies.

Is anyone watching This is Us here? I have the Sunday ep on my pvr and I can't bring myself to watch it yet. I hear there are moments of ugly crying, so I'm prepping myself for that. I had my mum watch and tell me if it would be a trigger effect {similar things happened in our life with my dad, just not at the same time as Jack} and she didn't really answer lol so I'm assuming yes.
@misskittydanger we had something semi similar happen in our family (regarding a fire). it wasn't exactly the same. but it triggered me and an ugly cry. I got it out and was ok the rest of the episode though. Even with last nights. just have some tissues on hand.

@MissKittyDanger I watched Sunday's episode and last night. I would say it was emotional but not ugly crying, but I don't have any personal experience to associate it with. I think because we kind of knew what was coming and I figured some of it out on my own that it wasn't as shocking for me. That might be different for everyone though. Especially if it is something that would trigger a similar traumatic experience for you.

DS just deleted the baby heartbeat from the little recorder they gave us at our elective ultrasound. he said 'I just turned it off'. no you turned it to record.... even with the switch covered in tape.
I do have a heartbeat saved on my phone I can try to re-record on there. or take it to my next appt. but it was THAT heartbeat that's gone. and mixed with pregnancy hormones, I cried.

@icecubeinthedesert Thanks. I tried to find out today at my scan appointment whether they think it's a hernia or just the top of my uterus. They've told me to make an appointment with the GP. I'm glad the pain didn't last too long for your Dad.
@burlapandlace I don't think cause she kind of just held the recorder up to the speaker thing. But I just remembered, I think she said she put some videos on the CD she gave us. so hopefully I can hear some heartbeat on that also. Even just from that day might make me happy.
... not sure why this is bothering me so much when we hear it so often soon.

This might be a question to STMs - maybe someone else is experiencing this too? - but I feel a lot of .... idk if it's pressure or weight, but kinda both in my abdomen. Kind of under the belly {I'm carrying high for reference}
Is this normal? Any way to relieve this? I'm guessing no, but is there a point I should be concerned?
edit yes I do feel it a bit in my lower back, but more like a "my back needs to be cracked" kind of feeling
I would like to start this by saying my husband farts more than anyone I’ve ever met. He farts constantly. And I put up with it without complaint.
I just farted an admittedly very stinky fart, and he is panicking. He’s not sure he can sleep in this room tonight. I am dying laughing. But also if he thinks his farts are going to continue to be without complaint he is wrong!
@doxiemoxie212 - haha! Not sure he can sleep in the room!
But for reals. Pregnancy farts are awful! Sometimes I’m not sure I can sleep in the same room with me! Especially on days where I’ve consumed too much dairy (like when I HAD to get a milkshake yesterday ~ Lactose intolerant pregnancy farts are SO bad!)
DH has the worst habit of closing the bathroom door after he goes to the bathroom so when you open it, the stench is still there, even hours later. It drives me up the wall! So the other day I did the same thing to give him a taste, he went in there and came out gagging, acting like he was actively dying. "Oh man, I don't know what happened but I think something is wrong with the plumbing because it smells like something died in there." "Yeah... that's what happens if you don't let it air out." "Oh."
Would it be so bad if I skipped my class this morning but still went to work this afternoon? I'm not feeling either of them today, but I already missed work yesterday because of snow.
My DH likes to stink up the bathroom right outside our bedroom door, as I am trying to go to sleep. The ceiling fan pulls all the stench into the room and it wafts over me.... GAG!! We have a fan on a timer in the bathroom that vents outside... and each time he comes out I say: did you turn the fan on? and he is like; Really? And has to go back and turn it on. Common courtesy Hubby... C'mon!

So very off topic...but june birthstones...I have an extra band with my wedding rings with DD1's birthstone- so naturally I want/need one for DD2. I also have a june bday so this shouldn't even be a question...but alas it is. Everything I look up online says June is pearl, moonstone, or alexandrite. I want a sparkly gemstone, so pearl is out...moonstone is...I don't even know what- but not sparklie...and alexandrite is SUPER expensive and rare. I feel like I always got amethyst as birthstone stuff growing up...is that just because it is purple and kind of sort of close to the color or alexandrite?
@kmurdock925 I found a source that says “light amethyst” for June instead of alexandrite.
Early FFFC... I hope this baby is a 4 days early so she can have May's birthstone which is emerald instead of June’s because I’ve always thought alexandrite was such an ugly pink/purple color
