I don't watch or care for the Kardashians, however I'm only a half level above it, because all I watch is trash tv. I don't watch a whole lot anyways; maybe once or twice a week for an hour (unless I'm binge watching something) but the only things I watch are junk. You know, Teen Mom, Siesta Key (always loved Laguna Beach and the Hills too). It's like my tv brain is 17. The most "sophisticated" show I watch is Greys Anatomy.
+1 more to hating MLM companies. I refuse to buy anything from anyone, and if you start trying to sell me something I instantly like you less. I had a friend that was so aggressive with trying to sell me Young Living that I basically ceased talking to her. It was that bad.
As much as I love girl scout cookies I won't buy them unless the actual girl scout asks me to. It drives me bonkers to see parents selling them for their kids on Facebook. That doesn't teach the child anything.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
@elsie42@Austenista also on the MLM thing, I secretly think it’s hilarious when someone pushes their product super hard for 6 months- 1 year and then suddenly ceases to mention it, like hmmm did you find out it wasn’t as wonderful and life changing as you thought?? And these people are usually serial offenders, once they burn out on one product they dive right in to the next.
In regards to the MLM sales, my Facebook is so full of one woman's Plexus pushing that I've had to mute her. It was too much.
I'll go all in with others who are anti-Kardashian. I find the entire family annoying and way too AW-y. But I find it mostly creepy that their fame all began with Kim's sex tape. What in the ever living fu*k, man??!
I am sort of mesmerized by the Kardashians bodies. I don't think I've ever watched a full episode of their show, and I don't give a single fck what they think about anything, but I am completely mystified by their bodies. Like, whether it's amazing plastic surgery or amazing personal trainers... IDK, still seems impossible! I think I think they're aliens, tbh.
Funny that we are discussing MLM and just got a FB message from my friend that started selling Yonique like two weeks ago asking if I want to host an online "beauty bootcamp." I didn't know what to say so I just said no thanks.
What irritates me the most about people that sell stuff is that they just read the materials given to them by the company and are suddenly an expert in that. I was talking with a friend about my sciatica pain and hip pain. She sells DoTerra so she started trying to get me to buy some thing to put on my back. And I was just like I don't use EO's topically during pregnancy and of course she said "They are perfectly safe during pregnancy" so I just said that there isn't enough information and research for me to make that decision so I stay away. Also, I was just chit chatting with a friend who also recently had a baby who asked how I was doing and she started to try to sell to me. No.

Ahh +1 to so many of these but especially the mushrooms and tomatoes! Not my jam at all. DH LOVES mushrooms and he thinks I'm nuts but I just can't do it.
I also love Excel! I am a total list and spreadsheet junkie. It's the best.
I'm still trying to think of my UO...will report back!
@krashke I used to have a PR corporate MLM client. I wrote those materials. It's one of the reasons I'm so against MLM companies - I've seen internally how inherently evil they are. They really, truly expect their "sales people" to just buy the stuff themselves and get stuck with it, and they know the only way anyone gets any money is by conning more people into selling on their "team." Like, these companies know what they're doing isn't right. I'm sure many of their salespeople just think they're doing a great thing for them/their families, but it's just such an effed up industry. And beyond that its effing annoying.
catlady1215 - I've never understood the kardashians! I've never seen an entire episode of their show. I don't get it. I dont' want my daughters looking up to them...why do people care?? In all fairness though, I feel that way about a lot of celebrities. They're just people guys...why are you idolizing them unless they've done really good philanthropic work or something to stand out/make a difference.
Because some of them are so so hot

+1 to MLM companies being inherently evil and I hate pretty much all of them. My pushy beachbody or EO friends are the worst. But I still love LLR leggings (not anything else, just the leggings) and my coworker who sells them isn't pushy at all because we're zookeepers and she gets that money isn't a thing we have a lot of.
I can't even say what foods I like or don't like anymore because honestly if food is in front of me, I will eat it.
I think my UO (maybe unpopular, we'll see) for the day is I super support the legalization of weed. I have literally never smoked in my life but I know so many people (DH included) who you can clearly see how it benefits them. Anti anxiety drugs are crap compared to pot for him to get through the day and I just hate that he can't smoke because he's job hunting. Like it's impacting his mental health so much and I wish it wasn't such an issue to just be able to smoke.

I think all drugs should be legalized with restrictions on age, driving, etc. If people are allowed to drive motorcycles, like, legalize drugs and let us get that tax revenue! Put drug dealers out of business! Stop giving power to drug cartels! Le sigh.
+1 to MLM - while I do purchase certain products, I don't appreciate being harressed by sales women. If I need some more Scentsy bars I will reach out, no need to blow up my messages and try to convince me to have an online party.
Never tried Nutella. Don't like avocados.
I am guilty of owning some LLR leggings and tops. The patterned ones I own I lounge around in the house, my solids (black or gray leggings) I will wear out in public. They are soooo comfy and feel like maternity clothes.
My unpopular opinions: Pregnancy weekly chalk boards. Sorry to any ladies that do this or if I offend anyone, but I am sick to death of seeing these weekly chalk boards about how big baby is. Great if you want those for your personal scrap book, but spare the people of social media please. These are outdone and frankly most people don't care that your baby is the size of a cabbage.
Opinion 2- Orlando Bloom is not attractive.

I’m so sorry for what I am about to say...I cannot stand it when people use phrases like “I can’t even” or “sorry not sorry”. (Hides behind something sturdy)
@Amphibious22 I was (am?) 100% all for legalizing weed. Then it became legal and a handful of shops opened up near us and they seem to attract some seriously seedy people. And the store fronts look awful because they have been throwing up a plastic tarp sign thingie instead of a legit business sign. So for the sake of how it affects my day to day life I’m not thrilled.
srb1028 I agree about the chalkboard. And I’m also super over the baby blankets with numbers 1-12 for baby monthly milestone pics. It was like one day everyone and their mom had the same ass blanket.
@meg95995 I use both those phrases with some frequency. Sorry not sorry.
@buffalove1211 it's legal here too, but companies can still not hire you if it shows up on a drug test. In CA the stores are still pretty rough, but when we lived in WA they were really nice. I think it depends on the location.

@srb1028 omg Orlando Bloom in the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies is seriously so steamy! Maybe because I'm like a mad weirdo/freak/fan for the movies.
@glitterfingers You must be going to see the wrong music! Good musicians sound better live. I do agree that the crowd can be tough, but it all depends on where you stand and it's good practice to make friends with the people around you so hopefully they are less likely to be jerks. Also- you may enjoy a concert better if you can find a venue that has seating? That way you have your own designated space? I'm very sad I didn't get tickets for David Byrne (he's in Milwaukee a month before my due date and Chicago 2 weeks before...) because there is seating, but I missed the pre-sale and now they are like $500 I do agree that many many musicians are self absorbed assholes, haha, but some that I've met are pretty cool people!
AFM- I do not understand why anyone likes the bachelor/bachelorette. Unless it's because it's a total train-wreck and it's entertaining? I don't get it. I hear coworkers talking about it all the time like they have actual personal interest vested in these people.
@May14th2011 see no Will Turner for me...i find him unattractive them.
@doxiemoxie212 I'm pretty sure it's the blonde that does it for me in LOTR, I think it's the constant and his bone structure is so prominent against the braids!
Edit-@kfren lucky you got to meet him! I've never met anyone famous!
edit: @bearmoons yeah I think it's a venue and cost thing. I'm not paying $150 to watch someone on a jumbotron at the arena but I've seen some great shows at the UC Berkeley Greek Theater which is seated.
I'm working in the excel spreadsheet from hell today - I know some of you are jealous.
It is late on Friday and I've been busy at work...but I thought of this last night so it kind of counts as a Thursday UO.....
I think girl scout cookies are SO overrated...they aren't that good guys. I can get MUCH better cookies elsewhere. Why do people go so bananas over them??
@kmurdock925 I literally have 6 boxes of girl scout cookies coming my way tomorrow. Four of those boxes are tagalongs. I regret nothing. Plus they use sustainable palm oil so with each cookie you help save the endangered animals in southeast Asia!
Also yes U2 is the worst.
Me 30 Him 30 Married August 2015 DS born 5/23/2018 TTC #2 July 2020
My only question is why can’t I have some Girl Scout cookies RIGHT NOW. I better buy some extras to freeze when the time comes. They don’t have booths here until 2/23?!?! Is there a GS cookie black market??
