How old are your other kids? DD is 3 in less than a month.
Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else)? As she's getting older, DD seems to be more emotional i.e. more ready to throw a crying fit if something doesn't go her way. It's kind of hilarious and also very frustrating. I had to put her in the car for preschool yesterday as she was throwing a fit because she had wanted to watch a Lion King video on my phone and the website (or my internet) was not working. She calmed down, but it wasn't the best car ride. When she asks for a tissue and delicately dabs her eyes and cheeks though, it's the cutest.
GTKY: Who are you rooting for this weekend? Or are you just in it for JT & the commercials? I'm just in it for halftime and the commercials. We are all actually going to a kid birthday party just before it, so we'll probably miss kick-off, and then I suppose it'll be my job to feed DD and put her to bed, so I'll miss more.

The 2 year molars are turning my sweet boy into an emotional rollercoaster. Poor guy
On the plus, we've been going to swimming lessons this month and I've seen such great improvement! DS is getting more and more brave and it's really cool to watch his confidence grow.

Go sports! Do the thing! Win the game! ... clearly I don't follow sports lol and DH isn't into it either so we won't be watching.
@maplemom18 we've had some hilarious but frustrating meltdowns lately too. I've had to turn around a few times while DH steps in because I can't help but laugh

Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else)? we are finally making consistent progress on napping in our crib everyday, sleeping through the night and weaning. I might actually get a little sleep and my boobs might get a break before the next one.
GTKY: Who are you rooting for this weekend? Or are you just in it for JT & the commercials? Snacks, commercials and JT for sure but I do hope the Eagles crush the Patriots - salty Steelers fan here.

Rave: he knows the difference between orange and red all the sudden. So that’s kinda cool seeing as how we aren’t focused on teaching him academics just yet.
Rant: The tantrums are out of this world lately! I love this kid but.................... stahp!

I’m rooting for Not the Patriots... Also JT! Commercials make me salty in ways I can’t even begin to express here... I’m too anti capitalism to enjoy that aspect of the super bowl every year.

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed about having to "start over again" with a new baby. We've just made it through the first year with our daughter and a lot of things are a lot easier now (although so many things are a lot harder, too) and when I think about having to do it all again it feels overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited about it and I know it's gonna be a brand new experience with a new baby with a new personality.. but it still feels a little like "are we really about to do this all over again?"

Man this year is worst case scenario as a Giants fan, not that I care about football all that much anyway. I guess I'm rooting for the Eagles because H is a Dolphins fan so that fuels the Patriot hate in our house.
@maplemom18 I'm trying to decide if having a bday party on the Super Bowl is a good or bad idea. I imagine some people are a little mad about it?
@crunchyice that's sweet that he's looking out for little bro already and doesn't want him to miss out on the holidays
@onesmallcoconut I used to teach swim lessons to 3-4 year olds.. they're so cute! I don't miss the battles of trying to just get them in the water doing the first few lessons, though.
@clee5711 glad you're making progress! No changes on nap time in our house. She has a cold this week so I'm waiting until that clears up to officially get her to nap in her crib.
@ivyvines6 we always have mute the TV during the commercials. We have friends coming over for the game though so I don't think we'll get away with it

Rave- It's Thursday, and I'm pretty sure I passed my 3 hr glucose test. I never did hear from the midwives office, so I'm assuming everything was fine. Rant- nothing yet today.....

@clee5711 Another Steelers fan here. I hate the Patriots with a burning fiery passion, so while I am also not an Eagles fan, I guess I will be somewhat rooting for them just because they aren't the Patriots. Mostly I'll be watching for the halftime show.
@maplemom18 I have to work the next morning, so I'll likely miss most of the second half, too. I'm okay with it.

@onesmallcoconut, I hope your little guy starts to feel better soon. The girls have always been a little scared of water (which I'm okay with for now) but it's been really cool to see them get more comfortable and venture out a little more.
@ivyvines6 Not for the same reason, but I think the commercials have been horrible the past few years, and I think they're severely overemphasized.
@mileswithmyles I'm so sorry you're still feeling so sick, giant hugs to you. I ordered my girl scout cookies but haven't gotten them yet. I asked MH if he wanted any, and he said no, so guess who might just leave them at work to make sure no one else gets any???
@fraufarbissina My girls are almost 4, and I feel the same way about starting over. We're finally in a good spot where the girls don't require a lot of attention or supervision, are potty trained, I can sit and watch a non-animated TV show while they're playing together in the play room, I can pick up and leave the house in about 5 minutes (even with the girls) and don't need to take enough luggage for a three day weekend just to go to the grocery store....and then I look around and think, "And it's all going to end in May. What were we thinking?" I'm obviously also excited, but I totally get the overwhelming feeling you're talking about. Solidarity, girl.
@bwow615 Definitely a UO with me. I also was never (and am still not) into the boy bands or anything, but I think he is super talented. And I think it's his actual personality that makes me like him so much. He just seems so down to earth, I love that he doesn't seem to take himself seriously, and he appears to just genuinely enjoy his life and what he's doing.

Also, I feel the same way about starting over. When DH and I talk about, oh, well DD could handle that (family activity) next year, we have to remember that now there will be a baby! So it kind of feels like freedom is getting farther away...
And I love JT -- I cannot believe I have not seen him in concert yet. Life goals. Apparently he was living in CT for a while this fall not too far from where I am (30 minutes-ish) and a friend of my husband's was at the park at the same time as him and his kid! I may have seriously thought about going to this park...

Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else)? my boys love thier Mama snuggle time, I've been pondering a lot lately about how they'll do with another little one to compete with. Our 5yo is already a little mama, she keeps talking about how she wants to change diapers and hold the baby, I'm sure she'll love it.
GTKY: Who are you rooting for this weekend? Or are you just in it for JT & the commercials? umm, who's playing?? My husband's birthday is Monday, so we'll be celebrating Sunday with family during the superbowl, it lands that way every year. We'll probably turn it on for half-time, because JT.
