@starla - I haven't had any breast tenderness so far this time. Symptoms will come and go - try not to worry when one eases up (easier said than done of course, especially PGAL).

Dude just came here to say Diclegis is life. Feeling slightly more functional today since my doctor gave me samples. If only I could stop falling asleep standing up
@HairBossMama I’m on day 3 of Dislegis! I agree- it is making me feel so much better. I am also falling asleep standing up, but this is so much better than the stomach aches, nausea, and puking. My appetite came back! I did still get a little nauseous tonight - and I tried a preggie pop for the first time. It really helped too!
I’ve had a nonstop mostly annoying headache for about 3 weeks now. Last night my head was pounding. I fell asleep...woke up at 1:30am and it was unbearable. I decided to take a half of a Tylenol and hate that I did it! I’m so anti meds while pregnant and feel so guilty now
@Bear14+ i was just coming to bitch about headaches. What do you usually do to ease them without medication?
I'm a 20yr migraine sufferer (borderline chronic) but had been doing really well. Yesterday I napped and got woken up to neice being yelled at just as I was reaching that deep sleep. Twice, 15 minutes apart. I knew it was coming. Then we went out to dinner and it was soooo HOT in the resteraunt I couldn't stop the pain. Caffeine and Tylenol haven't done much. Its going to be a long day I think.

Half a Tylenol won't do anything to help If you're going to feel guilty anyway might as well take the full dose and try to get some relief. Unless you specifically aren't allowed to take it for some reason, it is widely accepted that it's a safe medication to use during pregnancy. One of my docs said last time that all kinds of meds were fine in moderation at different points in pregnancy. If you are in pain I'd really suggest giving your doc a quick call and discuss your options. I take Tylenol and Benadryl without worry when I feel I need them. * Insert legal-ish disclaimer about always calling your doc about meds and not taking advice from internet strangers here*
Non med things that might help- Ice pack or heat pad on neck and forehead depending on what's causing the pain. For some reason ice on the head with heat on the feet can help me. Some people swear by the oils, peppermint on the temples is a good one. I personally just think it smells nice and doesn't help much but sometimes any little bit of relief is welcome.
I've got chronic headaches and migraines and it is so hard to manage them without meds while pregnant. I feel for you.
@prpl11butterfly I'm a chronic migraine person too. When I didn't know I was pregnant although suspected I might be, I rolled the dice one day and took my prescription meds cause I had no one to help me and had to take care of my toddler. I've found reasearch that says it's perfectly fine and research that says they just don't know if it's ok. I think mostly they just don't know. I don't plan on taking it for the rest of the pregnancy unless I'm absolutely dying and can't get someone over here to take care of my toddler, but I'm not feeling too bad about my descion to take it the time I did. Migraine during pregnancy sucks
@stothi I actually took my migraine meds before I knew too. I was late but really didn't think I was due to cramping. I tried not to but was getting to the point I was going to throw up. 2 days later I woke with another bad one and decided to test (4 days late at that point) and boom, BFP. I've now had a soda, second coffee, and 3 rounds of Tylenol. I'm feeling better but still feel like I'm not 100%. I've read mixed reviews in my migraine med (sumatriptan) and think I would feel pretty safe taking it if I got to the point of being sick.
Like others have said, we are told to avoid tons of meds during pregnancy just because we have no data regarding the effects in pregnant women (almost no clinical trials include pregnant women). I think if your migraines are chronic and so bad that they put added stress on you, it's definitely worth discussing with your OB. I would think stress on yourself due to untreated pain/other conditions is also not ideal for pregnancy. It's all about risk/benefit. The only meds that are completely off the table are the pregnancy category X.. Category D is also not good, but a lot of anti-seizure meds are in this category and occasionally the risk of stopping the med is greater than the benefit of stopping it.
@Mandamay1414 my OB did advise me to take it at the end of my pregnancy with DS but I went into labor 3 days later. I'm not sure if she okayed it because she suspected labor was imminent or because she's feeling it's relatively safe. I will find out when I go in. But I'm hoping once I hit the 2nd tri they go away again.
Anywho, some Gatorade really helped today and I'm feeling much better. Luckily it didn't turn into a full blown migrane.

I have had headaches for 3 weeks and plus I have a nasty cold I can't take anything for relief. I won't hesitate at 2 Tylenol when I need it.
@Bear14+ - Try not to beat yourself up for half a Tylenol. I too try to avoid meds whenever possible but sometimes you just need something. Tylenol is on the list of approved meds my OB gave me - so while I try not to take it unless I really need it, when I really need it you bet I'm going to take it. An unbearable headache definitely sounds like a good reason to go for the Tylenol IMO.
