  You could have someone dressed like a tsa agent patting down your guests.
  There is also an entire board devoted to baby showers where this would be better received.

  There is also an entire board devoted to baby showers where this would be better received. 

  I think it would be more fun to make select guests show up, and not be allowed to come in based on where they’re from. If we’re featuring travel, we might as well include the ban, right?

  Oh good idea!!! Yeah, "randomly select" some guests to have to leave their gift and then actually leave. 
  You could also charge $9 for a beer and then have a fee for anyone who has a bag or purse that's too large for your liking.

  What about arranging the chairs so that your knees are touching the back of them except for the people who brought the most expensive gifts? They get more leg room. Then not allow anyone to use their devices.

  @Poppy0419, girl yes.
  And the hostess needs to do a speech at the beginning that includes the no device rule, the expected time frame of the party, and also point out where the exits in the venue are in case of an emergency.

  In all seriousness, based on the other thread you started, i can assume you arent hosting this shower. Go on pinterest, share a few photos/ideas with the hosts and then take a step back. Maybe this is just my opinion, but you shouldnt be too involved in the decision making/planning... let them run with your theme and do what they want.
