How many weeks are you/baby's size?
30! Baby is the size of a cabbage.
How do you feel?Pretty darn good! Definitely uncomfortable by the end of the day (I waddle more than I walk), but I've still got some energy to get stuff done.
Any appts this week?
30 week office visit on Wednesday. Honestly I'm more excited about my hair appt later that day

Rants/raves/questions?
Nada.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I'm a huge sports fan raised by parents who grew up in the city of Boston, so I'm a homer through and through! Baseball and football, especially, are in my blood, though I won't turn down tickets to a Bruins or Celtics game. I'll admit I'm 100% an obnoxious Boston fan
Re: Monday Ticker Change - 1/22
28! Hello 3rd trimester!
How do you feel?
Not bad. Energy levels have gone down some, but I am hoping it was due to me being sick for a week and that they'll pick back up.
Any appts this week?
Not for another couple of weeks, then I guess they'll become more frequent.
Rants/raves/questions?
None
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
Love me some football. College football, I'm a UT (Texas) fan. Hook 'em!
Pro, I'm a Packers fan. Not a big fan of baseball, but when/if I ever watched or went to a game, it was for the Astros, so I definitely watched the World Series this past year. Basketball...same as @kmalls. I won't turn down tickets, but don't really care to watch on TV.
27 weeks. Lettuce.
How do you feel?
Pretty exhausted this weekend. DD was randomly up for 4 hours the other night and husband and I stayed up late watching GOT. I was dead yesterday. Today should be much better.
Any appts this week?
On Wednesday. The glucose test. Yay...
Rants/raves/questions?
This is our first and only boy and we are trying to figure out what do to with the whole circumcision thing. I go back and forth and getting sick of researching it. Also, I started a prenatal yoga class a few weeks ago and am in love.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
No not really. I work for a university so we go to some college games. All various sports and I watch the Superbowl, but that is pretty much the extent of it. I do like playing sports though.
How many weeks are you/baby's size?
27 weeks. I remember what a feat it was to get to the second trimester so I cannot believe I'm almost to the third.
How do you feel? I'm feeling pretty well! Sleep has probably been the biggest issue lately. After I've slept about five hours (not straight through because I have to use the bathroom all the time, ha), most nights I feel wide awake. This may be helpful once baby comes, but I'm not thrilled about it now!
Any appts this week? Next week is my glucose test and discussing my birth plan. This has been a long stretch without an appointment.
Rants/raves/questions? I'm trying to decide if I should get an Instant Pot or even getting a service like Blue Apron a few days a week after baby comes. I'm pretty terrible at coming up with new ideas for meals so I'm wondering if anyone has some insight as to what may be easiest. I've heard so many great reviews about both, but I just want something that's easy.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie? I am not a huge sports fan in the sense that I'll watch games on television, but I always enjoy going to watch games in person. My favorite sports team are probably the Minnesota Twins. The stadium is beautiful, and I love going during a summer day. I'm hoping we can bring baby to a game this summer!
@dan0081 we love our instant pot! We did Blue Apron for a while and I do like it, but the meals aren't always easy. If you want to try Blue Apron, I have some free meals coupons for new customers, if you're comfortable, message me with your email and I can send one of them to you!
How many weeks are you/baby's size?
26, Kale.
How do you feel?
I'm feeling mostly good, but I have to pee all. the. time. ugh.
Any appts this week?
Nothing until Feb, then I go to appointments every two weeks. Somehow the appointments every two weeks makes things seem more real.
Rants/raves/questions?
Nada
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I'm originally from Minneapolis, a friend of mine who lives in Philly posted on Instagram how happy he was that the Eagles won last night. I "liked" it then realized a few hours later that they beat the Vikings. Doh! I barely follow sports, but I still love it when my hometown teams do well.
@dan0081 I feel you on the sleep. I just can't get comfortable or I'm wide awake. I'm so tired all day long I feel like I could just take a nap but once I get to bed I can't sleep.
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 30!
How do you feel? I'm doing good. I don't sleep well at night but it is what it is. I have major anxiety about thinking this baby is breech right now.
Any appts this week? I have my 30 week one tomorrow morning!
Rants/raves/questions? As I mentioned above I'm slightly worried baby is breech, which I believe is no big deal at this point. I'm just really scared of a C-section and the recovery. I would do anything to keep this baby safe but the thought makes me super anxious. For all I know baby is head down I just can't tell what I'm feeling these days. Irrational fear is starting to take over my life.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
Nope. Didn't grow up watching it. I played sports in highschool I just never got big into watching sports. Now DH and his family are big sport fans. Football was obviously on last night and I had no idea what was going on for the most part. I try to watch it
28 - eggplant
How do you feel?
Eh. I developed symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) last pregnancy as a result of the circumstances of my birth (my pelvis separated too much since I had to hold her in when my body wanted to push her out during our 40 min drive to the hospital). It took 8-9 months to feel normal again (I felt fine day to day, I just was having pain when running) after getting some pelvic floor physical therapy. Well, my SPD has come back. I was happy to have an active week last week, going to the gym a few times and walking a lot. On Saturday we took DD to the women's march and I walked/jogged about 4.5 miles, and my pelvis hurt so much by the end of the day. Super frustrating, but this just might mean I need to slow down until she comes, then start up PT again.
Any appts this week?
Nope
Rants/raves/questions?
I guess my rant is above. My rave is that the women's march in my city was awesome and inspiring and gives me a little hope that somehow we will right the ship... eventually.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
We are a Steelers household, so I don't want to talk about it
*edited because spelling is hard
30 weeks! Baby is the size of a zucchini or Kon <- I have no idea what that is but it looks like a bear in the picture.
How do you feel?
pretty good super tired and I don't feel like I get a enough sleep even though I feel I'm sleeping well. Last week was hell cause DD would wake up every couple of hours crying for what seemed like no reason. Think she is hitting a growth spurt. Other then just tired and feeling uncomfortable all the time it isn't the worse thing in the world.
Any appts this week?
Yep sitting in the waiting room right now. Started on the appointments every other week. So things are starting to get super real.
Rants/raves/questions?
not really I thought I left my phone at home but turns out I dropped it in my car when I got to work. So glad to be reunited lol
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
huge sports fan! I love the Colts and Pacers. For college I love the Purdue Boilermakers. Not a huge baseball fan but i do cheer for the Boston Redsoxs.
@thisgirlagain It is a tough desicion when it comes to whether you get your son circumcised or not. Its a very hot topic and it seems like no one will ever agree with your choose or your r seasoning behind it. Me and MH talked about it I'm ok with our choice and I don't really care if anybody else is ok with it or not because it will be our son and it's our choice and frankly none of their business. So whatever you decide just make sure you are 100% ok with it, anyone else's opinion doesn't matter. Good luck.
@thisgirlagain I hope your glucose test goes well on Wednesday. I think @Dumbgurl04 had good advice that you just have to do what you think is best for your son, and others shouldn't have a strong say. It is a challenging decision though!
@irenejean Thank you for offering the Blue Apron coupons. I'll certainly let you know if we decide to go ahead with it because that'd be really helpful. So glad you and @thisgirlagain like the Instant Pot. My parents got one for Christmas, and they are always sending me pictures of what they've made, and it always looks amazing!
@mispanda Hope you start getting better sleep soon, too! I may talk with my OB at my next appt to see if she has any suggestions so I can report back to you.
27 weeks. Lettuce, I guess?
How do you feel?
Still super weepy. I think I complained about that last week? The stress and not knowing how we’re going to deal with two is really getting to me.
Any appts this week?
Just need to do my glucose test this week at some point.
Rants/raves/questions?
Anyone else furloughed? Hopefully Congress is voting to reopen as I type, but if not I guess I’ll get to really get ahead on my nesting activities over the next few days lol
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
Notre Dame football, that’s pretty much it. MH follows the Redskins and I’m from DC too so I’ll cheer for them, but they haven’t actually been good since I was in preschool so I’m not overly invested!
29, baby is the size of a pineapple/Barbie convertible
How do you feel?
Other than the normal aches (back, hips, etc.) I'm actually feeling a lot better. My sciatica is manageable now and I have more energy than I did before. I'm enjoying this time to be able to get some things done and ready for baby.
Any appts this week?
Regular appointment on Wednesday
Rants/raves/questions?
Anyone else having a hard time breathing, especially when you're overheated? It gets so bad sometimes, beyond just not being able to take a deep breath to feeling like I'm near hyperventilating, and it makes me really light-headed.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I love baseball (diehard A's fan). I like going to basketball games although I don't follow any teams. But I've never been able to get into football despite giving it tons of chances.
26- baby is the size of kale (that's a hard one to visualize...)
How do you feel?
Feeling pretty good, more aches and pains lately. I'm realizing how much time I spend at work sitting on the floor every day because it is getting hard to get off said floor!
Any appts this week?
I have my glucose test and 26 week appt on Wednesday. Seriously hoping I pass! I was only about 2 points above the normal range in my last pregnancy so my OB let it slide- I'm hoping to be much lower this time!!
Rants/raves/questions?
Nothing I can think of!
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
Our loyalties lie with the Green Bay Packers!
Mama to Rowan Sebastian and baby boy coming in April!
29!
How do you feel?
Generally good. Uncomfortable by the end of the day, but have a little energy to get stuff done.
Any appts this week?
OB Thursday, think we will schedule C section!
Rants/raves/questions?
I’m really ready for winter to be over.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I enjoy watching college and pro football. Certainly not a die hard, but cheer for Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones, and Minnesota Vikings for pros.
@dan0081 - we have tried both Hello Fresh and Blue Apron. BA was more involved/complicated (not bad, just took longer), so I would say to keep it simple, go with HF. I don’t have an instant pot, so can’t offer anything there. Deciding factor for you might be whether or not you want to save time grocery shopping.
@dan0081 - I have an Instant Pot and we also use Home Chef (we get 2 or 3 meals a week). I think both have their pros and cons. My husband does more of the cooking than I do and he prefers the meal service. It makes it really easy because there is zero thinking/planning ahead involved. A huge advantage of the Instant Pot is that you get way more bang for your buck. With the meal service, you spend 30-45 minutes making 2 meals. With IP, you could do 20 minutes of prep to get 10 meals for later. Also, if you want a coupon to try Home Chef, let me know!
@irenejean - I"m with you on the pee problem! I'm a teacher and constantly worry about having an err...issue in front of my kids!
@mispanda - Sorry you're stressed about baby being breech. Have you heard anything about Baby Spinning? I have no idea what the research on it says, but I find it compelling.
@Puddlewonderful - I've been really weepy too. It makes me worry about PPD, because my emotions have been a hot mess throughout these last 6 months.
How many weeks are you/baby's size?
28 - hello 3rd tri! Baby is about 16 inches long and about 2.5 pounds.
How do you feel?
Feeling alright, although sleeping is getting harder. Sounds like a lot of us are in the same boat. It makes me anxious for what is to come once baby is here.
Any appts this week?
Not this week.
Rants/raves/questions?
Finished painting the nursery this weekend!
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I am not a sports fan at all! I could really care less TBH. I'm near Seattle, so all my friends cheer for the Seahawks.
@thisgirlagainwe also have no idea what we're going to do about circumcision. Actually I'm going to bring it up at my daughter's 18 mo check up this afternoon.
How many weeks are you/baby's size?
28 weeks and in complete denial about starting the third trimester!
How do you feel?
Heartburn every night but otherwise great
Any appts this week?
Not this week
Rants/raves/questions?
Nope
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I'm really not a sports fan but I can occasionally get into things. @scuba_chic we go to Astros games every now and then too, so I watched (and was actually excited about) the world series this year!
@keeksie84 I am all about the leftovers so that would be really nice with the Instant Pot, and I actually love grocery shopping so that would be one thing I'd miss with doing a meal service. Thankful for all this insight! Hope painting your nursery goes well this weekend.. You'll have to post pictures.
29 weeks. Baby is acorn squash. Feeling bigger, faster.
How do you feel?
Good! Heartburn is consistent but nothing I can't handle.
Any appts this week?
Nope. Had our 4D ultrasound with mom and and dad this weekend. Baby had her hands in front of her face almost the whole time, but it was cute.
Rants/raves/questions?
Rave: As mentioned above, 4D ultrasound. 30 minutes of seeing my little baby look like a real baby. It was amazing.
Question: How are people finding the motivation to exercise? It was something I was so dedicated to prior to pregnancy, but I've just gotten such a lack of drive now!
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I'll always watch tennis since I enjoyed playing competitively so much. Only football or basketball I watch religiously is the University of Miami since I went there, Go 'Canes! []_[].
@kmalls @dan0081 with you guys on he hair thing. Trying to take better care of it, especially before baby. Definitely went more than a year last time before getting a trim...going in right before baby though!
@Dumbgurl04 Definitely feeling pooped even when I sleep a lot. I work evenings so I can sleep in, but still ready for a nap by 2pm, no matter what.
@kaymaroo Yessss to the hard time breathing. It's still 72 degrees here in San Diego, and we went on a hike this morning. I feel like I'm getting winded pretty easily as it is, but much moreso when it's on a warm morning.
28! Eggplant baby
How do you feel?
Pretty bad. I just posted a separate thread but I’ve been MIA because I’ve spent a lot of time in the hospital this month + recovering. The latest was falling down a flight of stairs. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life and I’m in an excruciating amount of pain. Ive been sleeping really poorly the last week and I think that’s part of why I fell.
Any appts this week?
I was supposed to have a cardiologist appointment yesterday but then fell down a flight of stairs and ended up in the hospital instead. I’m on bedrest this week and then appointment with Obgyn early next week.
Rants/raves/questions?
Any sleep suggestions? I see a lot of you are having the same issue. I know it’s pretty normal at this stage but it’s making it hard to function. I do remember having the same issue with insomnia with my son around this time but I don’t think I ever figured out anything to help? What about back pain? They said ice and Tylenol- no heat.
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
I used to be more of a sports fan. Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan but I honestly haven’t watched much since DS was born.
@kaymaroo I'm going to be in Anaheim for work around mid-February and have booked a little maternity photo session while I'm there. I'm a beach person and think beach + cliffs, would make for some good photos. I have a photographer, but we were talking about potential spots to take pictures. So far, we've decided Inspiration Point. Do you have any other recommendations for good spots? I think she recently moved to the area and is a little unfamiliar with good spots herself.
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 28 weeks! And I don't know... my weekly notification didn't hit yesterday... hmmm
How do you feel? I feel good. No energy issues but damn if the whole RLP shit isn't getting me randomly!
Any appts this week? Glucose test and 28 week appt tomorrow!
Rants/raves/questions? Yay facebook group! lol
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie? Nothing to add... lol. I'm a KC Chiefs and Royals fan... so life is sad
DS: EDD, December 19th, 2014. Born, December 19th, 2014!
DD: EDD, July 18th, 2016. Born, July 19th, 2016!
Baby #3: EDD, April 16th, 2016
@mispanda ugh... add me to the position of baby worry club. Solidarity sister.
@mountainsmama I'd love to hear more about your experience with a pelvic floor physical therapist. My friend recently told me she thoughts I should go see one. I have been planning on after birth but she said I might want to consider going while I'm still pregnant. Are you going to go back to yours while pregnant?
@puddlewonderful I was furloughed! I'm curious now about where you work/what you do. We're clearly 'non-essential'
@kaymaroo I get winded super fast... so I don't know if that's what you're talking about? But like... walking up stairs or walking while holding my kids winds me ridiculously fast.
@priestess619 I don't find the motivation. /sigh. It's a problem! After the baby gets here I'll be better, FX!!
DS: EDD, December 19th, 2014. Born, December 19th, 2014!
DD: EDD, July 18th, 2016. Born, July 19th, 2016!
Baby #3: EDD, April 16th, 2016
Also, have so much fun at that ultrasound I know it's such an unnecessary thing but such a cool thing as we wait in anticipation. We got one good face shot where it looks like she's throwing up the peace sign but we still get to go back:
@rmmorris It is a tough decision. I feel like talking to both doctors helped. I also read an article that says to make a decision and sit on it for 2 weeks. If you still feel the same after 2 weeks then you know which way to go. Hopefully you got some insight from your doc!
How many weeks are you/baby's size?
28 weeks! Third Tri!!!
How do you feel?
Mostly good. Still dealing with pelvic pain on and off but it's not severe. As I mentioned in the randoms thread I am also hungry alllll the time!
Any appts this week?
Thursday is my Glucose test.
Rants/raves/questions?
Starting the process of buying all the things we need off our registry and working on getting the nursery put together. I went to Michael's this past week and bought SO much random decor and I plan to do the same thing at Hobby Lobby and At Home within the next few weeks. Basically just going to buy everything I think it cute and then decide what to keep and use later lol My hardest decision right now is what to do about a rocker. I have been eyeing one at Babies R Us but it's $600
GTKY: are you a sports fan? Where do your loyalties lie?
Yes and no.. I'm kind of a bandwagon sports fan in that I only really follow closely when my teams are doing well lol but I stay true to the teams that I do support. I went to Michigan for grad school so I always cheer them on in football as well as a smaller state school I went to for undergrad. I also continue to follow Michigan professional sports even though I live in Texas.... although none of the teams have been doing that well recently.
@priestess619 I worked at UM for a year! My husband and I lived in Southern FL from October 2015-October 2016.
@julzy I'm so sorry to hear about the crappy luck you have had recently! I really hope you start to feel better soon and FX that you don't have any more unwanted surprises.
@scuba_chic Do you live in Texas? Not sure how I missed that all these months or I just forgot!
@julzy I’m so sorry about your horrible month!! No additiona tips, but I had back pain in the fall and found this ice wrap thingy at the grocery store that has a strap so you can walk around wearing it. It could also be heated up for that type of injury. I really liked it!
