@hayhay93 lol...the pineapple drink is also easy to make...chunks of fresh pineapple and water blended...BOOM! They also make watermelon, cantelope, strawberry, mango, and lime. Its a dangerous truck that is ALWAYS in the same spot. I know their hours...this is scary. MCH even knows to make a stop there before we go on errands. I do like making the corn in a cup (esquites) because then I can make as much or as little as possible.
Oh my gosh. I wish I had this close by! I can just make it, but not confident it would taste or look as good as what you posted. The street vendor here is like a 25 minute drive from where we live. It would be worth it, if I had a car @zombiehoohaa
The truck is all about presentation, too. They know people are going to take a picture. lol It's PACKED with butter, mayo, lime/lemon juice (whichever is available), cotija cheese (which is similar to parmesan), and tapatio or cholula. The cob of corn itself is pretty damn big and its always the sweet corn. Really can't go wrong with any of that. @hayhay93
I'm finally done craving burritos and cheeseburgers nonstop and I feel like I'm back on track with my eating. I am however super bored with the usual dinner go-tos so I decided to try Sun Basket. The recipes looked good and I like the paleo options. You get a big discount for your first order so it ended up being $32 total for 3 dinners for hubby and I. I figure it will be fun to mix things up, plus you can always cancel.
I miss Chipotle, but I cannot get over the e coli issues that they never got to the bottom of. I ate so many of their burrito bowls when I was pregnant with DD, they hit the spot of all my preggo cravings without being insanely heavy ad junky.
Since DH didn’t want to help me by picking up DS today, i am going to stop by the small Mexican shop and buy myself some elote in a cup and maybe ice cream too.
@runsomewhere our Chipotle never had any E. coli or contamination issues so I think that helps ease my mind about eating it. I have been avoiding the lettuce though since it’s romaine and there are currently widespread issues with that.
Lots of donuts today! My friend is in town from Florida and wanted to go to this place that has gourmet donuts. We got 6 but only ate a sample of each so in the end it was really only one donut. We have lot left!
@wildtot YES!!!! I just did a little happy dance for you with that picture!
@ashbub714 Neither has the one I go to by work. I ended up going home at lunch and shared my barbicoa bowl with DH. I ate as much as possible then took a long nap. Food coma was so worth it!
We went out last night and had nachos as an appetizer. I don’t like pickled jalapeños. I couldn’t stop eating them. And then I was craving them today so I made more nachos for lunch. No regrets.
@kissableviv same here with the cheetos. We never eat/buy them, usually I can walk right on by, but lately I've had less will power. Especially if they are the extra hot ones.
Just give me all the spicy Asian food. All of it. Normally a fan of it, but it's reached a point where even my husband is impressed at the level of heat I can handle with no issue. At some point I'm sure I'll regret it and heartburn will set in, but for now, the spicier the better. Had a really spicy ramen on Friday for dinner, hubs took a tiny taste of my soup and spent the next ten minutes with the hiccups, and causing a scene at the restaurant.
