GUYS! So we decided to find out the grades and sexes of our embryos and here’s our reasoning.... so say two embryos are the same grade and strength, do we really want a stranger picking the sex of our child? SO this morning I emailed The nurse, now mind you H and I have always pictured our future with a son or 2. If we were able to conceive naturally we would just be grateful that our child was healthy no matter what! But now that we have a choice we said screw it we def want the strongest but if two are the same strongest we wanna know SOOOOOOO........
We have 4 girl all 6BB and 1 boy 6BA!!! -the number is hatching 6 being the best - first letter (like school A being the best) is the inner mass where the baby is developing - second letter is the outer layer which will develop the placenta, she said they are very tough grader on this and give relatively few “A”s Since they are all PGS normal she said there’s a 5% swing in success from AA to CC grading. FYI Hs worst nightmare is having a teenage girl lol and it be like me j/k Looks like we’ll be putting the boy in!! Crazy how we know before!
@ndz2018 - wow! how do they know that early? The earliest I've heard you can know is when you are 10 weeks pg thru a blood draw. That's amazing. Girls aren't all bad though mine can be sassy.
@vlagrl29 They know from the biopsy when they test the embryo! Isn’t that NUTS!! Regardless baby #2 will be a girl, OR if for some reason this first FET doesn’t take we’ll be having a girl!
ive been dragging my feet on things and my naturopath emailed me last night cause I hadn't gotten my last set of labs done. I emailed her back saying sorry but I've been contemplating a break from it all. Why am I seeing all these doctors I ask myself lol.
@ndz2018 So awesome!!! Thanks for breaking down everything...I've been a slacker are researching that! lol Boy would be so much fun!! They always say boys love their mama's!
@vlagrl29 We see all these dr's because we think it's being productive! Then we finally burn out for a minute. Don't worry...I'm sure they get it

I'm just debating if I should have this last blood test done. It is covered with ins, but I won't be able to visit her about it because we need the money for an RE now.
@vlagrl29 If it were me, I'd probably wait to see your RE. Especially, if you do blood work and there's no way to speak with the doctor about it so she can explain things.

yeah that's kinda what I'm feeling @kristimh80 - basically I'm a point or 2 below normal level on T3 and white blood cells BUT I forwarded all that blood work from my last 2 draws to the RE and she said everything looked great.
Starting monday I start teaching a 4 year old violin - so young! I need to research books for kids that young.
@vlagrl29 Agree I would wait for the RE. And 4 YEARS OLD!! OMG that is so young and adorable! I knew this couple who were both in theater( Broadway /pianist/ music teachers) and their 4 year old you read sheet music for piano and play beautifully! Like jaw dropping beautifully. Crazy how much their little brains absorb
I've been feeling better mentally the last couple days which is great. I think ever since the RE appt I've been trying to control and worry about which way we proceed. A big part is protecting myself from any possible future disappointments. I stopped googling which was great. I'm slowly trying to let go of some control and accept there are certain things I can not control. I need to think of the good things that can happen instead of the bad and that helps. Just best to live my life as normal as possible while going thru this and maintain hope that everything in fact always works out in the end.
@vlagrl29 Glad you've been feeling better! We all are guilty of trying to control things, but you're right...it's all really out of our hands. I need to stop "googling" myself!
@ndz2018 That's wonderful news!! You should be excited, it mean your 1 step closer!

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): IVF - did my first injection this morning!
CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD24
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): on this 5th and final IVF cycle we are going big guns and doing the microdose Lupron protocol, so will be 4 injections a day once I start stims Monday but starting today it’s 2 injections a day of the microdose Lupron (which my package insert indicates is used for prostate cancer and kinda freaked me out reading potential side effects). But...going for it. Then also the normal diet and supplements. Rants/Raves: Finally these negative temps are gone! It’s been pretty much since Christmas and I’ve never felt windchills like this so good riddance! Questions for the group: GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!?? With or Without You, or Pride (In the Name of Love), U2
What are you thankful for this week? My husband is home for the weekend and could do my first injection. It’s been 3 months since I did all mine last time so I was chicken!
@Momifbysea I’m so glad your husband is home with you this weekend! 5th IVF wow, going through this one was hard on me I give You mad props my friend! I am hoping with all my hope that this protocol and final time is it for you guys! You deserve it! What’s different about this protocol than the others??
@Momifbysea Hi there!! I start stims Sunday night. Possible ER is on February 1st. How about you? I was thinking I was going to be the end of Jan, but they prolonged BC a few days longer, so it now lands on my husbands birthday. lol Yes, this is my 1st IVF. Have you joined the Jan or Feb IVF boards yet? The Jan has started a spreadsheet, so it's easy and fun to keep up with others you're cycling with.

woah @momifbysea - holy batman that's a lot of injections! How will this make it different? Is there reasoning behind it? I don't know much about all that IVF stuff.
We were at Chuck E Cheese last night with DD for a school fundraiser and she was playing ski ball with a classmate and I was talking to the mom. People will ask me if DD is our only one and of course I always say yes. But this time I said yeah for now - hopefully there will be another one - this one is taking WAYYYY longer I'm at 18 months now with a loss a year ago. Anyways turns out she is 39 and they have also been trying for their 2nd for 18 months so we got to chatting about all that stuff. She's done hormonal testing but hasn't ventured the RE route yet. She said at this point she could go either way but her DH wants a boy and I told her my DH also wants a boy but I totally related to her because we both felt like "whatever" at this point. It's funny how you actually get to that point cause in the beginning I was like "I gotta have this now!"
@vlagrl29 That’s nice that you guys bonded over ttc!!!
I’m stoked about my surgery in the morning mainly because it means moving on to the next step! This shit is getting REAL now! I cant Believe I’m like weeks away from FET!
@Momifbysea I really hope this is the one for you!!!
@vlagrl29 Im at that it's whatever point too. I just want to enjoy life again I feel I've been so consumed with trying to have a baby and put everything on hold. So DH and I booked some trips I've began getting back into my exercise and clean eating again and feel so much better. Im still taking supplements prenantal coq10 and vit D but that's it.
@Labluver2 I think that's a great approach! After my few cycles of treatments if no dice then I'm taking 100% mental break from it all. Should be right in time for my bday in May!
i went to an acro yoga class today and that was fun and I officially can't take on any more students. Added 1 more and that makes 15. I think oh geez now watch me get pregnant and have a hard pg like I did with DD and have to pretty much not work. But you can't put your life on hold for the what ifs.

we are getting a hampster today. Dh gave DD a choice of either another bird or a hampster and that's what she wanted.
