Re: TTCA 35 WEEKLY CHECKIN: 1/15/18

  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment):  WTO

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable):  CD 18

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?):  PNV, Ubiquinol, Vit d, Vit c

    Rants/Raves
: I'm kinda not feeling any of this anymore - it's weird.  I know this next step is the final part of the journey for me personally and it's making me think about it more which I don't want but at the same time I can't take a break from it because I'm not getting younger.  When I don't think about it I'm rather happy with life and when I do think about it I feel conflicted like I have plenty to be grateful for and remember that.

I have my new OB appt for "continuing care" consult tomorrow.  Final dr appt think god.  I'm so over it. ha!  I have to see her though to get on her patient list in case I do get pg I won't have to wait for anything.

    Questions for the group:
Anyone that took clomid what were your side effects?

GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!??
This is a hard one!  I love so many of them.  Video Killed the radio star is one of my favs.

What are you thankful for this week?
My steam vac cleaner lol - I'm deep cleaning carpets this week.

  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): still waiting for AF this is ridiculous so I guess still in the tww which is now almost a three week wait

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD33 and still no sign of AF

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): I'm going to wait till Thursday and test again if I still don't have it then call the Dr for bw

    Rants/Raves
: I wish I just knew if im pregnant or not and why would AF be wonky this cycle when I always had normal cycles if I'm not

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!?? Anything from bon Jovi

What are you thankful for this week? That Bon Jovi announced he's doing a show here in May!!!! I haven't missed one yet and I'm looking forward to something.
  • @labluver2 could it possibly be because this is your first month off meds so your body is adjusting? It's weird for sure! I would hate long cycles.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 I thought of that but I had breaks in between cycles before I had one in June and November and my cycle returned to normal. I would get it 26 days if I did IUI and 28 on a normal un medicated cycle.
  • I'm still having pms symptoms moody tired boobs feel full but not sore and crampy on and off lower back pain.
  • Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): In process, had baseline ultrasound today. AFC 24

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD 10, but think Thursday will be CD 1 for this new cycle.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Finishing up birth control on Wednesday, start meds on Sunday. Ubiquinol, wheat grass, prenatal, vitamin d, folate.

    Rants/Raves
: It feels like this month is dragging! I really thought I'd be starting meds tonight. lol

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!?? Love the 80s! Anything by Janet or Madonna were always favs!

What are you thankful for this week? My husband for putting up with my mood swings lately. LOL

@vlagrl29 I understand your frustrations! I felt that way last Summer, like I was stuck still wanting to proceed and wanting to say screw it! After our 3rd failed IUI, we took a break and it was refreshing. But in the meantime got 2nd opinions and tried figuring out a game plan for later. It sucks at our age...it's like we can't afford to relax too much with this process.  :| But on the bright side...new home cleaning stuff is the best! I made my husband get us a new Dyson that I can bee wanting and now vacuuming is fun again! lol

@Labluver2 FX that this will end up being your month!!

  • Hi everyone - I'm getting back on the wagon after a while...

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment):  WTO / Benched : we're officially starting only next month due to timing but I'm charting this cycle in hopes of pinning down my O date.

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): CD 10

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Just a prenatal for now

    Rants/Raves
: I'm 80% excited about TTC and 20% unsure whether we can handle a baby right now. I keep thinking the early years are temporary and then it gets much better, but I'm still worried about the first couple of years. Then I realize I'm getting WAY ahead of myself, pour a glass of wine and try to live in the moment. :)

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!??
What a great GTKY question! Too many great 80s songs to chose from but since it's Monday, let's say The Bangles: Just Another Manic Monday

For a seriously nostalgic/melancholic mood, I'd choose "Kiss you all over" by Exile (technically late 70s).

What are you thankful for this week?

MLK and others who have fought for a better world. Three day weekends. Trader Joe's chocolate.

  • @Labluver2 Sometimes a cycle is just off... (My last cycle was 35 days, after 10 totally regular 26-day cycles.) Go figure. So frustrating!
  • @marijaa333 I get they can change but I've been tracking my cycle since I was 12 and I've always been 27/28 days like clockwork with the occasional 30 day cycle. There isn't the slightest sign of it even coming.
  • well @labluver2 - maybe there still is hope fx!  Do you have plans as to when to start an AF inducing drug.  I'm assuming after you get betas checked just in case?

@kristimh80 - yeah there are no breaks for us anymore if there ever will be it will be for good.  At this point I'm going full steam ahead and pray nothing horrible happens.  Lets just get this over with LOL!  My mind at this point and I'm a really mindful person so that's why I'm having a hard time still hanging on.

  • So the temps here are going to be in the negatives tomorrow so they called off school and I am to have a consult with my new OB to get on her list.  I didn't want to take DD with me cause I didn't want to have her around while asking the questions.  Her next appt for new patient isn't until May so I'm going to go ahead and keep it.  DH will watch DD while I go.  DD heard me talking to the receptionist and after I got off the phone she asked if it was about having a baby - gosh kids!  I told her there was no baby in me but we are still hoping.

  • @vlagrl29 That's great your hubby can watch your daughter. Especially if she's at the age at repeating things and curious...no telling what you'd hear after that appointment!! LOL Best of luck tomorrow! Hopefully this OB is great and what you're looking for :)

  • @kristimh80 thanks. I'm going to ask her about the clomid thing too and I just didn't want our DD hearing this stuff.  Our ins changed so while my old OB is covered the hospital he delivers at is not.  So I'm going to an OB group at the hospital we can go now. I'm going to be like "hi, everything is perfect, we had a loss a year ago, we are still here and hopefully one day I can use your services". And please don't tell me you're sure it will happen very soon for us cause I've already heard it twice. Whew, it's time to keep my positivity flowing.

  • Yay finally AF has arrived!!! I mean I wish I was pregnant but honestly I didn't think I was but i didn't know why it would be late CD34. I work with a bunch of woman I know sometimes you will end up being on the same cycle so maybe that's what hapoened.
  • @vlagrl29 Good luck talking about clomid! I don't see why they wouldn't let you try it, it's usually the 1st things OB's will try. My girlfriend got preggo the 1st time she ever tried it and was told once she'd be lucky if she could ever get pregnant muchness carry a child...so you never know!! :)

@Labluver2 About time! lol Plus side, you now can look forward to trying again!

  • @Labluver2 Glad AF came but not glad, you know what I mean.

@kristimh80 So close!! Yes, it feels like it DRAGS when you’re about to start stims.

@vlagrl29 You’re DD is on to you lol maybe it’s a sign? And NEGATIVE TEMPS?!?? Ugh where do you guys live? I’m having a tough time with 15 degrees lol

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment): BENCHED ON BCP

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): No clue lol

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Prenats, Uniquinol, Vit c and D

    Rants/Raves
: so I have my pre op tomorrow for my septum Removal FINALLY!! Monday is the surgery. I guess I find out Tomorrow how long I have To wait for my FET, FX it’s March

    Questions for the group:
    none today

GTKY: What is your favorite 80s song?!??
SO MANY!! Total eclipse of the heart, Crazy for you- Madonna pretty much any 80s Madonna, Stop Draggin my Heart Around Stevie and Tom Petty, and yes BON JOVI!!!

What are you thankful for this week?
Im thankful my appointment is tomorrow(even though we are expecting 3-5 inches of snow) and will be getting some answers! I’m also grateful for my 5 perfect lil PGS tested embryos and even the 3 mosaic ones! II’ve been reading more and more about Mosaic embryos and it’s not that it’s a bad thing!
  • @ndz2018 we live in KC. The high at 8am was -2. Wind chills last night were in the -20s. But Saturday is going to be a high of 50. So weird!!  What is a mosaic embryo?

@labluver2 sorry for AF I wouldn't like a long cycle.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Thanks everyone. I honestly didn't think I was pregnant but I was still holding on to a glimmer of hope. Not sure why it was a longer cycle like I said occasionally I go to CD30 but never this long hope it doesn't become an every month occurrence. Now I'm confused when I will ovulated this coming cycle. Guess I will have to go a bit longer to make sure I cover my basis in case it's another long cycle. I'm sure hubby won't object to much lol!
  • Here was my PGS results
  • @ndz2018 Yay for 5 PGS normal embies!! I almost think waiting for those results would be worse than a normal 2ww, but 5 is great!! :)

@vlagrl29 That's great news! She sounds very in tune to yout needs and wants! Feb isn't very far away!

@Labluver2 I get it...before we ordered ivf meds, we waited for AF to show. Just like a last glimmer of hope! Trying a little longer in your cycle def can't hurt.

  • @kristimh80 Remind me , are you guys PSG testing? I got the results WAY faster than thought I was. Since I had 12 embryos being tested It delayed it Bc I initally only paid for 10 to be tested so they had to verify that I was paying for the extra 2. I am def grateful for my 5 normals!!! And I’m even grateful for my 3 mosaic undetermined ones lol
  • @kristimh80 Let’s put it this way I got my day 5 result that I had 12 embryos on Jan 4th. I got The PSG results on Jan 11th BUT I had that slight delay so I very well may have had them sooner.

@ndz2018 Makes sense! Yes, we are doing PGS as well. It's funny, all the sudden I feel even more behind because a lot of the Jan IVF board is doing fresh one's right away, same deal with a gf I met thru my clinic. Same time...least we know the quality of ours? Silver lining...just ready to get this show going lol

Out of curiosity, do you remb you AFC at the beginning? I remember you got a lot of eggs. My baseline yesterday showed AFC at 24. Just curious...I know more isn't always better, but I like the idea of having a lot just in case.

  • @kristimh80 I dont remember. Honestly I didn’t pay too much attention to anything at monitoring Bc it’s not going to change the outcome so why stress over it. But yes I wound up with 29 eggs, 25 mature, 21 fertilized with ICSI and 12 made it to day 5... now we have 5 PGS normal and 3 mosaics on ice waiting for (IM HOPING) MARCH!!!
  • @ndz2018 Good point!! FX for March!! We are planning our FET transfer then as well...long as everything goes well.

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 OMG I LOVE THAT! I just told H about our 3 little cheerleaders he loves it too!
  • I'm feeling like there must be something wrong with me lol.  I just don't feel like TTC anymore and that must be odd because we are getting ready to start clomid next month and all I can think about is how I wish this was all over.  I think because it's messing with my mindfulness and being happy with the present moment.  I just need to stop thinking.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 I get it! We over-think everything to do with this and eventually burns us out mentally. Try to enjoy yourself and not stress as much, if you can. Maybe take a well deserved break from it until you Clomid time starts. If that doesn't work...feel free to fuss to us on here. Lord knows I'm about to be a hot mess as well. lol

  • Yeah I told dh no to BD last night @kristimh80 pretty sure I O'd by now anyways. He mentioned we could do it tonight but he'd be really tired and would just lay there. Gee no thanks lol. I think I'll lay low until we either feel like it or get instructed to.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I just want to throw in the towel. I've been at this over 4 years been thru 6 failed IUIs and now trying naturally again sometimes I think what if I wasn't meant to have kids. My husband yells at me and tells me not to think like that. The men really don't know what we go thru. When I'm feeling down I think of the positives of not having kids lol

  • @Labluver2 me too. I think of all the happiness we can have. Like going to Disney world in August and hopefully back to Hawaii for our 10 year. I'm sorry you haven't been lucky yet.

dh said we could still try ourselves and I said I don't want too. So here's to AF coming next weekend and downing 5 little pills in a couple weeks.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Had my pre op this morning ... LOVE the dr! He’s great! So its on for Monday! Also I get to stop taking BCP sunday night!! Which is great Bc I’m terrible with them but the down side is I will have to remember to take pills every day for the month afterward. The night of the surgery I start Estrace for 4 weeks and on 2/13 I start Progesterone for 14 days after that I should Get my period around March 1st-ish I then begin prepping for my FET!! I’m assuming mid March is when I’ll be putting the little embryo in!! Now that I know that March is for sure happening I’m almost in tears! So happy!
  • yea that's great news @ndz2018!  It's nice to see an end in sight.
