A tentative hello! I'm about the same bit along when I had my last loss but so far so good. I have an appointment Tuesday, about 6 weeks or so? I've been highly irregular.
I've been reading the threads and waiting but no ill signs as of yet! So here I am. Lots of hydration and homemade gingerale. Glad to see so many of you!
Hello! My name's josie I'm 25 years old and I'm a ftm. I was orginally on the august moms but had my first appointment yesterday..thought I was 8 weeks but measured 7 weeks and 3 days so my dd changed to Sept 2. I'm so excited and can't wait to share this journey with all you Sept mamas.
@southernlady07 Hey!! I made a simple syrup (melt equal parts sugar and water in a pot, I used a cup of each) and then dumped in like a tbsp of ground ginger because I can't find it fresh anywhere. Mixed it up, let it reduce. A tbsp or so in the bottom of the glass and fill with club soda. Syrup keeps nice in a jar.
My daughter is ten and has a severe corn allergy so I've learned to make so much from scratch!! But seriously this stuff has been a lifesaver. I'm constantly nauseated.
Heeyyy! I’m Brittney This baby will be my first! I found out I was expecting on January 8th! Super excited and nervous! My first appointment is 2/6 and I think it will all be more real then!
Hi ladies . I’ve been hesitant to intro, but I think now is a good time. My name is Erin, I’m 33 years old and recently moved from Louisiana to Texas. We have a 4 year old son who we adopted at birth and surpriiiissseeee! So I’m a STM but this isn’t my first pregnancy. I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone. Also, my doctor says I’m going to be in a medical journal one day for having the craziest early pregnancy experience. Cheers to happy, healthy pregnancies!
Hi! I'm Erin - I'm a SAHM to Robin, 6, and Jay, 4. This will be baby #3. I'm just squeaking into the end of September, got a BFP a few days ago, due around the 25th (I got my IUD taken out in December and actually never had a real period, so it's a guesstimate). I'm excited to get to know you ladies, my friends from the September 2011 board are some of my best friends, even now that we all have kindergarteners.
Hi, my name is Lyndsey. This will be my first pregnancy and I live in Alberta. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and looks like baby wants a very similar birthday to mom.... Baby is due Sept 6 and my birthday is Sept 4. Going for my first ultrasound in a few hours and I am super excited and nervous hoping all is going well.

Hi! I've been waiting for confirmation after a very faint line to post but I got it yesterday! I'm a STM with an almost 13 month DS who's been absolutely wonderful! Looking forward to watching him learn to love a sibling. EDD is 9/17 but I think I'm just telling people I'm due in Sept. Too many questions about dates/early/late/inducing with my last pregnancy.
I'm relieved to know a little more about what I'm getting into this time but we're also many times more busy. Also anticipating a move overseas this summer so I'm taking it one day at a time. Nervous, but definitely exciting.
My fun story is that I was scheduled for a yearly physical yesterday at the birth center where my son was born. Walking in and saying "I think I'm pregnant" got all sorts of excited responses and they did their own test. Best physical I've ever had! And definitely a great place to first share the news!

Going to introduce myself here as well since I’ve been hanging out in August but found out yesterday at the ob that I’m only around 6 weeks when I thought I was more like 8 (don’t ask me I don’t know how my dates got so messed up ha!) I’m 28, live in CT and have a 5 year old and an almost 2 year old. This will be my 5th pregnancy, 2 losses, but I got back my first beta today and it looked good so hopefully all is well this time around. I’ll probably bounce back and forth between the boards since I was already fairly active in August but may hang out here as well so Hello!
@Bear14+ and @treeofcheem I was on the July '14 board, total chaos!! We had a catfisher and a whole lot of drama! A lot of us moved to a FB group to get away from the drama.
I remember that catfish drama! Chaos is a good description.

Hi! FTM from NY! I’m 34 and my DH is 40. Got my BFP on 1/17, EDD according to FF is 9/24. Posted a few times in late summer/early fall on TTGP but lurked hard. I hope I can keep up with everyone and follow the rules!! We have been TTC since July 2017. First bloodwork on the 29th and looking forward to participating on the board and making connections with other FTM and learning from all the STM, TTM+. I like snowboarding, and am thankful I got to go at least once before the BFP. Congrats to all and can’t wait to share this journey with you all!!!
Hello all! I'm so happy to be here. First ever pregnancy after 4.5 years of trying/hoping. This is the greatest surprise ever! First appointment next Friday to date baby and I am so excited yet nervous.
I am a FTM nearing 8 weeks in two days! I am super excited and nervous about everything knowing nothing of the sorts. I am very glad to have found this app and the support it lends to stop me from freaking out about it all. I look forward to the journey and adventures that await that we can share! I hope to be of some help somehow in return.

I was also on the July ‘14 board! I have been hesitant to come back for this pregnancy, due to all that drama. I was more of a lurker on that board, but the catfish thing creeped me out.
Hello, I am a STM in MN. I have a 3.5 year old son and am now 5w6d, due 9/16? I conceived both after using clomid for thin PCOS. This time around it was my 4th round and we decided to not monitor this round, since the other 3 went well and monitoring would have been during the holidays when I was out of town. I actually counted myself out, since I never got a positive OPK. After my provera didn’t kick in, I decided to test and ended up with a BFP!! So not really sure how far I am yet. First US was at 6w4d, but looked like I was closer to 5w. I go back next week to hopefully see a baby!
I look forward to getting to know all you ladies over the next 9 months!!
ETA: using my phone and submitted before I was finished.
Hey all! My husband and I are two first-time dads from Oregon. After two years of exhaustive tests, a never-ending parade of appointments and lots and lots (and lots) of check-writing our gestational surrogate is finally pregnant! Our surrogate has been my best friend for more than a decade (are you lurking here, J?) and is in the same town so we get to go to all the appointments, indulge cravings and talk to the fetus when it's time (do people actually do that?). Our due date is September 5th and we're PSYCHED. The hardest part now is waiting to nest; there are so many useless/cute things we want to buy.
@e-i-r-i-k Yay! I am super excited for all three of you! And yes. Talking and music are a real thing people do! I played so much music for my first and she is super musical now (ten years later ha).
I just make lists to occupy myself. Do you have a registry started?
Hi there. Erin here. I'm a FTM at 37 :-) my husband and I just got married in September and knew we wanted to try right away. Took a few months but looks like we got ourselves a little honeymoon present (went away during the holiday week). I'm 5w4d and we have our first official ultrasound appointment this Friday. I can't wait! Took an early detection pregnancy test about 2 weeks ago and a follow up with my GYN confirmed a positive test. Excited to be on this adventure and have people to talk to since we can't tell anyone yet. EDD is 9/18.
Hi everyone!! Baby #4 is expected 9/14 my DD is 12 two DS ages 10 and 2! We live in omaha ne, I work full time as a nurse recruiter and my DH owns a demolition company! I was also a little hesitant to join a birth month this tims as last time for me the group did get a little hectic so i did choose to drop out, however it did offer me some support in the beginning that was greatly appreciated! So here i am again, super excited for my fourth and final and anxious to get to know everyone over the next 9 months!!!
Yay! I can finally post! Hi, everyone: I’m a 29-year-old FTM from Wisconsin, due around 9/13. This baby was a surprise, so I’m new to The Bump and new to everything! But my husband and I are really excited and trying to research as much as we can. I’ve already learned so much from being on this site.
My name is Erin. I live in LA. This is all so new, weird, exciting, and terrifying. This is my first time. By my own estimates, I am due September 14. First ultra sound is on Jan 31. My husband and I got married this past July. We started trying in December and on New Years Day, I missed my period! I got the BFP on January 2. Waiting for the first prenatal visit has made this feel like the longest month ever. And, not telling people is so hard!
It’s great to find other people in the same torturous but exciting time!
Also - I’m 34 but I will be 35 by the time the baby comes. So I’m hoping they will give me all the 35+ tests and screenings, but I don’t know.
Hi everyone! This is my second pregnancy and I'm due the 17th of September. My baby girl just turned 13 months old. It took my husband and I over a year to conceive the first time so we started trying again in November thinking it would probably take a while again. But here we are and I'm so excited!
Andrea, 38, FTM (!!). BFP on 1/17, estimated DD of 9/21. First appt on Monday (1/22) because I have high BP and am on medications (that are safe for babies but just want to check everything!). DH (Ben) and I got married on 9/2, excited to hopefully hit our 1yr anniversary before baby arrives! I’m in KY, work in marketing/data science, and have two Boston Terriers that are crazy.
Hello everyone! I just got my BFP today! My EDD is 9/27. My DD is almost 2 1/2. I’m excited but very nervous about going from 1-2. I haven’t told my husband yet. I’m going to tell him on Valentines Day it give me time to make sure everything is ok first. (I miscarried before having my DD so I’m cautiously optimistic.
I’m an older first time mum at 37. I’m 6+2 today, going by The Bump’s calculations, so my EDD is September 17.
I started getting mild but manageable nausea last week, but in the last day I’ve just started getting really nasty menstrual-like cramping which is knocking me around pretty badly. I’m on the verge of taking some paracetamol (which is what we call acetaminophen in Australia). I’ve been reluctant to take anything where possible, but it’s getting to the point where I’m pretty much unable to do anything except lie down and this girl’s got a PhD to try and finish!
So far I’ve been wavering in my feelings towards this pregnancy and child. I’ve never wanted a baby before, but in the last year I’ve been watching my already small family dwindle and depart and I started to think about how I didn’t want to find myself alone when I’m old. But I’m still not really sure if I’m comfortable with the idea of being a mum. I’m hoping it’s mostly just first trimester moodiness, and that I eventually learn to love this baby, but right now I just feel... nothing. Being older I didn’t expect to get pregnant so easily (it only took us two cycles) and I know so many other people out there have so much more trouble falling pregnant who want a baby more than anything, so I feel horrendously selfish and guilty about not being more grateful or excited, but there it is. Does anyone else out there find themselves second guessing their decision to have a child?
@wkuandrea hi! Isn’t this crazy scary and exciting?? Yay to the first time!
@megnwingate - I’m sorry! I should have said Los Angeles. But it was 6am my time and I was not thinking. I have always wanted to visit your state. And, yes it would have been so cool to meet up!
...Does anyone else out there find themselves second guessing their decision to have a child?
I think those are totally normal and valid feelings. Not everyone feels the same way when they get pregnant. It’s a huge change and it sometimes takes a while to connect and get excited, but you’ll probably get to that point sometime. Your feelings don’t define you as a parent. Even after the baby isn’t born, not everyone feels super connected and in love right away. We’re different people who feel and process things differently and the differences are OK.

I am a mom of four (3 DD's 17, 12, 9, and DS, 11) expecting #5 (or 6) in late September. I had IVF due to a tubal ligation I had in 2011 when I was sure we were done and it seems to have worked the first time. My blood test is scheduled for Thursday, but I have had two days of positive HPTs that are getting darker. We are a Christian, Navy family stationed in Bahrain, but baby will be born in Maryland after we move this summer. Look forward to getting to know you all!
