@Kenya715 I second the library and museums, but also does Tyson's (dunno what area of the DC area you are in) or any other malls around that area have a play place inside it? I have friends in larger cities that go to play places inside malls.
Also, this might be for months down the road but open gyms at local gymnastics places? They often set up mats and stuff for crawling and pulling up on, but there might be an age limit that's older than your lo.
DD1 just turned 4 this week and DD2 is 2 and 3 months.
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM+ or questions about things your children are going through now?
DD2 is in a rough phase right now. Tantrums, super clingy, fighting bedtime, and waking up throughout the night. All things she has never done until now. Nighttime has been especially rough with her randomly waking inconsolable (she’s in a toddler bed and just gets out now, too) and wanting to be in our bed. It’s so unusual because neither of our kids have ever wanted to bed share with us but I’m letting it happen for now because I’m wondering if she’s having nightmares. I just don’t want to start any bad habits before the baby comes. I’m also thinking I need to start potty training her soon and with the latest behaviors I’m wondering how that will go. Is anyone following a specific method? Potty training DD1 was so easy but I know it won’t be like this with DD2.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM:
DD1 is in the absolute best phase. She’s so loving and easy to reason with now. I want her to stay like this forever lol She talks about the baby and kisses my belly. She also told everyone at school today and broke the news before I could. Oh well.

I have way too many real places I want to visit first.
Current challenges/concerns about being a STM+ or questions about things your children are going through now? Right now it's real estate. We're tossing around the idea of moving and when. We love our home and our neighborhood and schools. But we're in 1700 sqft 3bed/2bath and not a lot of yard space. As the boys grow, it's getting tight.
Current joys/successes/or happy thoughts about being a STM: To me the baby stage is pretty stressful, but as I picture the future and when he's a bit older, I love the idea of a big family. I'm excited about four kids. I never in a million years thought I'd have FOUR kids and that they'd be BOYS. But now I can't imagine it any other way. It makes me excited for my grandparent years and hosting their families on the holidays. I just love the love.
GTKY: What fictional place would you most like to go? I have no clue. I'd take a tropics vacation right about now though.
