@katethemom and @shouse11 I too had super vivid dreams during my first pregnancy, and I hated it as well. I couldn't watch anything mystery/criminal or read books that were suspense before bed. It's returned for me too at only 4+3, it's going to be a long haul!
Middle of the night insomnia has started. Also the smells have kicked up - I normally have a terrible sense of smell and this morning I thought I was going to barf from smelling a kid's seaweed snacks at our mommy and me workout class. I had a massive aversion to seafood last time I was pregnant so it looks like that might happen again
@katethemom@shouse11@nlc8424 I like the weird dreams. They're so realistic and interesting! I think it's from progesterone.

Exhaustion...so sleepy. On my days off of work I was taking naps at 2 pm and today was my first day back at work. I could tell when nap time rolled around.
Famished! I want to eat everything.
Nausea! Not as bad as all 3 pregnancies I’ve had but glad to see it has arrived!
ETA: the bloat. I look like I did at 16 weeks pregnant
My morning sickness has been off and on for about 2 weeks now but today it’s in full swing:( I can not stand the smell of any meat cooking, all I want is fruit to eat but can’t go get any because of Blizzard conditions, none of my pants fit anymore and my mood swings are crazy. I am 6w3d today I’m not a fan of the symptoms but I will deal with them because it reassures me that baby is ok. I have had 2 MC in the past so I get crazy anxiety in the first trimester as well.
I'm extremely exhausted and my breasts ache so bad! I've been feeling some abdominal cramps as well (no bleeding). I've had some waves of nausea but no full blown morning sickness.
@shouse11 my round ligament pain this time and last time always bothered me at night when laying down. Seems like every time I move/toss/turn I get lightning jabs in my belly. It was my first pregnancy symptom last time too. Stretching before bed helps me!
Stuffy nose is a symptom of pregnancy? I'm brand new to all of this and my nose has been stuffy on various levels since week 3.
Other than that, I've had nausea a little in the morning and a little at night. Today my night nausea seems to have disappeared but feeling exhausted most evenings or after walking around a lot (i.e., grocery store) Sore breasts and the eating little bit every few hours.
@katethemom Yes!!! The dreams I’ve been having are incredibly nuts. Everything from me giving birth to the next exorcist to living in India with elephants. So weird!
Let’s see, I’m 5w4d and I’ve definitely been tired this week, breasts have grown noticeably and are tender, I’m constantly thirsty and need to pee every hour or so. I’ve been more excited about colorful veggies than usual. Last time I didn’t get morning sickness until after 6 weeks. Have hardly had any nausea this time, but maybe it’s still too early...
I feel like the nausea has kicked in way earlier with this one. My husband was cooking my top ramen tonight because it’s all I wanted but then I smelled it and it smelled like weed (wtf). It didn’t make me sick, just weird that’s what I smelled. I’m also super bloated which is making me feel like a fat cow. I just want to wear leggings and oversized sweatshirts.
@abundantlilacs during my last pregnancy, I had mine around 6 mos pregnant. My doctor said it was safe and better to be safe than sorry. So maybe something you can talk to your doctor with. I know that flu season can go well into April.
I have had a headache for two days! Not sure if it’s the switch to half-caff coffee or lack of wine! I hate taking meds pregnant, so trying to power through it!
@ropemaker I read that the stuffy nose is due to increased blood supply. It swells up your nasal passage and makes you feel like you have a stuffed up nose. ETA: I get the stuffy nose, too.

So much snot. My nose isn't stuffed, just icky. I blow it like every hour and get a ton out, but I'm got congested. Unfortunately some kinda runs down/gets stuck in the back of my throat which results in gagging because I kinda feel like I'm choking. (also I didn't have a ton of nausea last pregnancy, but I hugely heightened gag reflex which led to puking out of the blue sometimes, with maybe 1/2 second warning!).
Not really the end of the world, but super annoying.

@shouse11@chillmama1518 I had too look up what round ligament pain is.. and now that I have, I have been experiencing that!!! Every time I have to cough or laugh or turn over in the middle of the night, I brace myself. I thought it was just cramps. I'll try stretching now.
Im 5w3d today and being PGAL I am trying hard to not look into symptoms/lack of because they might not mean anything BUT...does anyone else feel like, what I can only describe as, a burning deep in the ute? Sometimes it feels crampy, other times it's just like a burning sensation that maybe is pressure, maybe is stretching, maybe is just increased blood flow? I try to feel encouragd by this that i'm feeling anything but it also makes me nervous. oh plus i haven't pooped in like 4 days and the hemmies are real.

Mild nausea started last night while I was reading to DS before bed. Another bout of it this morning on the way to work - both times, I was also slightly hungry. Luckily it's very mild right now and seems to stay away as long as I don't let my stomach get too empty. Ginger ale and saltines are going to be my best friends, I think.
@Jyoung327 Constipation over here, too. I feel ya.
Last night I cried because I'm already tired of the extreme nausea and have at least two more months of it. I have B6 and Unisom on the way. FX they work!
@jyoung327 I've been struggling with constipation too. I find a few dried apricots a day helps. I had a lot of cramping the first couple of weeks but it's died down a bit. Now I just feel twinges if I stand up too quickly at an angle (like getting out of a chair).
@babysnyder918 Just last night I woke up for the second night in a row sweating, stuck to the sheets and became very frustrated. I don't know why I didn't think to connect it to the pregnancy. My much less reasonable, totally overthought explanation was that I must have used too much fabric softener when I washed the sheets, rendering them less breathable. After reading your comment, I googled it and found that the hormonal changes during the first trimester cause night sweats... that makes much more sense! so thank you
@pourmeamocktail The stuffy nose hasn’t hit me yet but my nose gets huge when I’m pregnant YAYYYYYY
the dreams have crazy, waking me up several times s night they feel so real.
Anybody else having intense drops in blood sugar? I keep getting waves of feeling shaky, dizzy, ears ringing. Once I eat I’m fine. Need to start snacking more I guess.
@HairBossMama Yes to the low blood sugar. I'm proof to that anyway, so I'm trying to be really careful with snacking frequently. Also pregnancy for me brings some probable low blood pressure dizziness which sometimes feels like the low blood sugar thing.

Bloat has set in already. My breasts are starting to hurt and nursing DS (14mo) is starting to be uncomfortable. Echaustion is creeping up on me and the hormones are already making me a bit emotional. Guess how I knew I was pregnant lol

I’m having a strange fluttering in my left ear... Second time it’s happened in a week. I thought I must have suddenly developed tinnitus (or a new sensitivity to tinnitus), but looked it up and apparently it’s a common symptom of pregnancy too! Just some fluid behind the ear drum brought about by hormones. Wild!
This thread is making me feel so much better. All of these strange things that are happening that I didn't think were pregnancy related. I'm also super thirsty all the time @shouse11, I've already had 40 oz of water and it's only 8:15 am. And I've had a weird fluttering in my left ear for the last week or so and was worried that I'd gotten an ear infection. Had no idea that could be pg related. Still can't figure out if my exhaustion is pregnancy or quitting-coffee related though!
Ugh, MS is making its way into my life and I'm not even 5 weeks. It definitely didn't start until 6+ weeks last time so this has me a bit nervous. I already warned my one coworker who I'm really close with that I'm pregnant since I figured she would pick up on it sooner rather than later. Hoping sucking on hard candies will get me through until I can get my sea bands tonight.
PCP told me to try meclizine and then will escalate if necessary after that. I may have to reschedule my cruise until April and even then, who knows if I’ll be feeling better.
Yesterday I had a really weird vision thing that may or may not have anything to do with pregnancy. I suddenly had a shimmering zigzag line in the shape of a C in my peripheral vision. Didn't go away when I closed one or both eyes. Lasted about 10 min then disappeared. I was freaking out thinking my retina had detached. I do remember last pregnancy I would sometimes see bright spots of light, especially if I coughed. Pregnancy can have the most bizarre effects. @pourmeamocktail I also had a sensitive had reflex which meant I vomited every single morning when I brushed my teeth and brushed my tongue. I just got used to brushing in the toilet by the end so I didn't pee my pants. Oy.
Holy nausea and headache! I'm so exhausted and constipated too. Last 2 pregnancies I was good until week 6. I'm so happy to be pregnant that I try not to complain, but this is a pretty strong start
@Car0liiine yes, tooth brushing is the worst! I also have to be super careful not to put too much food in my mouth at once, and if I am coughing at all, I just can't eat.
