Another week- another set of symptoms! The only new symptom I have is being emotional. I was a bit short with my DD at bedtime and then felt so bad about it that I started crying...which led to dry heaving and me hugging the porcelain throne...yeah that was fun haha. Go hormones!
@Lucky2K13 I got hit with a bucket of feels this morning, while watching Spirit with DD. Stupid hormones always turn me into a watering pot every time. Hope your feeling better now.
Overall, I've actually been feel pretty good, other than some bloating and sore boobs, up until this morning. I ended up dozing on the couch after breakfast. Not intentionally, I have so much house work to do, but I just can't hardly keep my eyes open. I forgot how annoyingly draining the first trimester is. I desperately want a big gulp full of coffee, lol.
Still have lots of morning sickness and that was pretty much my only symptom until now when the fatigue hit. Looks like DD will be taking 2 naps today because Mommy needs an afternoon nap too. Also I dread changing diapers right now because I have yet to make it through a messy one without loosing my lunch.
This morning sickness is no joke! I have made several runs to the bathroom today, no actual vomiting yet, but I feel like it’s right around the corner. I haven’t been able to eat anything more than a few bites of a bagel. Plus I was up all night with my sick toddler and I have to work night shift tonight. It’s going to be a long few months of this! But despite the misery, I’m reminding myself how lucky I am and how much I have longed for this little bean!
So nauseated and so tired! No vomiting yet but Im eating ginger candy and gum constantly, drinking lemon water and I just caved and asked DH to bring home some unisom tonight (as if I’m not too exhausted to function as it is). Also, sore boobs, acne, back/hip pain, headaches, the whole nine yards. If I can get control of the nausea and exhaustion, I’ll be okay, though. I had a hard time symptom-wise with my first pregnancy as well. I know it will all be worth it but I’m ready for 2nd tri! Im going to Disney World and on a Disney Cruise in two weeks and I’m researching anything I can do to make sure I feel as good as I can for vacation. I will say I’m SO excited for unlimited food always waiting for me on the cruise. Let’s hope the aversions aren’t too bad.
I had very few first tri symptoms with my first and this one seems to be following suit. The only two things really are emotions and the need for ice cold water. And by emotions, I don't mean crying or angry, I just get an irrational ability to judge how funny something is (like...it's really not that funny, but I find it HILARIOUS). H takes this as a sign the baby likes his dad jokes.
ETA I am 5w tomorrow, so for those of you who also don't have many symptoms, have no fear.
So much nausea. Thankfully I have not thrown up yet but I can tell it's coming. My last pregnancy I threw up the entire time so I'm worried it will be a repeat of that but I'm really hoping I'm wrong.
I, luckily, don't have many symptoms. My first clue to this pregnancy should have been the stuffy nose and the fatigue! Aside from some queasiness after I eat, nothing much else.

I just picked up some Sea Bands and those Ginger Preggie Pop Drops. Maybe those would be helpful on your trip?
Thanks Sdeux! I’ve been eating so much ginger gum and lozenges but I ordered a Seaband today (that would be amazing if that helped!, I hadn’t looked into them much before.) If all else fails, I’ll have the unisom and b6 which I was eventually on 24/7 last pregnancy...the WHOLE pregnancy.
Still mostly fatigue, shortness of breath on the stairs, and BLOAT. Also a fun thing that maybe isn't quite MS yet, but like heartburn and gross wet burps? Yuck. I also am having a localized reaction at the injection site of my PIO shots so itchy + sore bum is constant. Lol
Some nausea has set in the last couple of days, which makes me happy. It tends to make its appearance after dinner when I'm full or sometimes when I've very hungry. I'm sick now so I'm not sure how much of my fatigue is due to that versus pregnancy. Hoping all is going well in there.

This week I’m rolling with exhaustion. Like fall asleep sitting on the couch while my hubby is reading a bedtime story to the toddler exhausted. Hoping to get some energy soon! I don’t remember being quite this exhausted this early last time but then again that was a different life...life before kids
Feeling the exhaustion this week and a touch of nausea in the afternoons. I'm going to begin the diclegis this afternoon to help with the nausea. I have full blown panic attacks at the thought of vomiting so the diclegis was a life saver last pregnancy.
My nausea has intensified. I need a glass of water, ginger ale, ginger pills, crackers, and preggie pops before getting out of bed and even then I dry heave most of the morning. Otherwise, my only other symptoms is getting tired earlier (I like this one, I’m sleeping so well) and my boobs are growing.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for both of us that it doesn’t get too much worse.
All my bloat is gone at 5+2. Down 4 lbs and back to pre pregnancy weight. I was terrified until the exhaustion hit this morning; I feel very much pregnant again
I’m struggling to know what I have that’s because I’m pregnant vs because I was diagnosed with the flu yesterday. This flu is no joke. I’m praying everyone stays well!
Had my first little undercurrent of nausea this morning while making breakfast for my LO. Luckily it calmed down after I had a little Gatorade. I also had a very sleepy day and am very thankful DH was a sweetheart and let me pass the buck on most of the parenting after dinner. Still so thirsty and can't find the perfect drink to quench it. Hmm
5 weeks today! I feel great in the mornings, but afternoons/evening are rough. I get a little lightheaded in the afternoons, and when I stand up too quickly. I took public transportation to and from work yesterday and was fine in the morning, but when I got home felt so nauseous and exhausted after the trip. And I am soooo bloated.

Anyone else having a hard time sleeping?? I don’t remember struggling during my last pregnancy. And every time I roll over or sit up I’ve got these shooting pains in the sides of my lower abdomen. Round ligament pain?
@shouse11 yes. I remember the frustration of being exhausted and also having middle of the night insomnia last time. I think sleep issues are from the increased progesterone.
@shouse11 I have become a light sleeper and it's the worst! My dogs are constantly waking me up when they move. I'm actually making DH come with me to pick out a king size mattress tonight to hopefully give me some more sleeping space
@EErin86 yes! We have a dobie and he’s the biggest snorer and loves to sneak into bed! Getting a king sized mattress made the world of a difference for us.
@shouse11 & @EErin86 That is perhaps my most frustrating symptom so far! I wake up at every noise my dogs make. Usually, I sleep right through. So far though, I haven't felt TOO exhausted. I'm still able to make it through the day.
It seems like my nausea just comes and goes and is pretty light and manageable. I have a weak stomach to begin with, so I am expecting it to get worse (I'm only 5 weeks), but if not, I certainly won't complain. My breasts have been feeling slightly sore since last week, and yesterday they became significantly more sore.
and VERY BLOATED! I feel like I already need new pants... its only 5 weeks; how is this possible?
@zoeycakes super bloated here too! I swear it happened overnight! Slightly nauseated as well, but I can ignore it for the most part by distracting myself. Eating tends to make it worse, so thats great.
@swtbaby285 sorry you're sick. My biggest fear right now is getting the flu since I spaced on getting a flu shot this year and immediately panicked when I got my BFP. Hopefully I won't get it this year since I had it last spring. Get well soon!
@BusinessWife I didn't realize shortness of breath could happen this early on. I was super winded when walking up the stairs at work today and didn't even consider it being a pregnancy thing.
I'm just soooo exhausted. Like I could fall asleep at my desk right now. And even though I have way too much work to do, I'm bumping bc I can't focus on anything that makes me think. Can't wait to get home and go to bed early!
I'd had a heightened sense of smell and exhaustion from about week 3 until very early yesterday morning. The symptoms just stopped. I've not gotten sick or bloated yet.
Anyone else having crazy dreams? That was the symptom I hated the most last time around, but last time it didn't start until about half way through the pregnancy. I seem to be dreaming all night long, and they are unbelievably weird and realistic-feeling, just like with my first.
@katethemom Ugh, this. Yes. This is what I really really hated during my last pregnancy. I had to stop watching the walking dead bc everything started to transfer into my dreams. Just started Stranger Things and nervous its going to start happening again. You've def got my sympathy!
@shouse11 Also having some of the shooting pain in my abdomen which I think may be the round ligament pain, but mine happens during the day when I stand up suddenly. Sorry it's giving you trouble at night!
