  • @darkstar42 dead cars are the worst! Good luck with that and your IUI!

Month/Cycle: 14/ 12is (I have long cycles, so I'm guessing it doesn't track perfectly with how many months and I'm too lazy to go back and figure it out)

    CD:4

WAYDTGKU: BBT/CM, Clomid. We are taking this cycle off from Clomid until I can get into an RE. I'm not hopeful, but after reading hours worth of threads on here I got pretty freaked out about taking Clomid from my Obgyn. I haven't been being monitored at all, besides day 21 blood work.

R/R: I'm sticking with the weather theme -- I'm so ready for snow! I live in a place where we should have a lot of snow by now, but it is just rainy and muddy. Plus we have horrible inversions when it is cold without snow.

    C/S: Nope

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? That's tough. Probably Thai food, but don't make me pick what dish!
  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 2...I think. Things are being weird.

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK

R/R: Had a fantastic gym date with a friend yesterday that's still got me in a great mood!

    C/S: nada

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? Grilled flank steak with chimichurri and some phenomenal red wine. Or anything with GOOD buttercream frosting.
  • Month/Cycle:5/3 (1 loss followed by 1 bench)

    CD:11!

    WAYDTGKU: HIO chart pnv

R/R: I made it to FW!!! Woohooo! Also we got a picture from our designer of samples of everything we picked for our kitchen laid out together,  and it's going to look really sharp when it's all done.  We're 5 weeks away from moving in!

    C/S:

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be?
A ribeye steak with a twice baked potato, garlic bread and salad.  Oooo and what @chopchop25 said,  and a glass of red wine!
  • @dreamscapes_ I made it once, but I have no clue if that was what it was supposed to taste like :) We had a bakery that used to make the best buttercream ever, but the woman passed away and the recipe there has changed and so there's no way of finding it again it seems.
  • @kristah2 oh, man. YES to nachos and margs

@chopchop25  Mmmm I love buttercream frosting
@acciocoffee  a margarita night sounds like fun

    Month/Cycle: 5/6? I think...and I’m too lazy to go back and look
    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: waiting for AF to exit

R/R: no rants today...it was nice enough to get out of the office for lunch today and so far work is tolerable this week!

    C/S: nope

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? @galactickates do you want to have our last meal together? Lol +1 for steak and a glass - bottle - of red wine.

ETA bc the bump ate my first few tags!
@darkstar42 sorry about the dead car by yay for IUI, everything crossed for you that this is your cycle!
@Stargazer1lily I agree with the crazy weather, 50 degree difference from last week to this week

  • @darkstar42 I forgot about sushi. Damnit!

@stargazer1Lily We are having the same crazy weather, although roads were very icy this morning. I am hoping that temps don't drop too quickly after the rain.

@krissy2241 Good call on the Thai. Another good choice.

@chopchop25 Glad you had a great gym session! Girl after my own heart with that buttercream frosting. I am such a sucker for good frosting.

@galactickates Such exciting times. You will have to share pictures when you are done.

@dreamscapes_ My suggestion, you decide for YH when to get friendly. You have to abstain for a few days so you can tell him when it suits you to not hio over the FW. That is what I did with mine. He also wasn't overly thrilled with the idea. GL.

@acciocoffee Sounds like a fun night with your friend. Enjoy!

@kristah2 Gl at the chiro today. Really hope that it helps you. Be kind to yourself.

  • Month/Cycle: Many

    CD: 8 I think

    WAYDTGKU: IVF

R/R: My scan this AM was so good! I have 11 measurable follicles, all growing together happily! ER is estimated for Sunday or Monday, so YAY!

    C/S:

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be?
A really great grilled steak and a bottle of borolo

@darkstar42 sorry about the car! Glad it got fixed though!
@krissy2241 good call waiting for an RE. Hopefully you get in to see one soon
@dreamscapes_ why the RE so early (if you don't mind me asking)?

  • @darkstar42 ugh that’s a bummer! I’m driving on my spare right now but at least it’s moving. Hope it just needs the jump!

@galactickates that's so exciting! I can't wait til we move. I have an exact picture in my head of what I want for our forever house!

@dreamscapes_ ugh hope your hubs gets it together & stops waffling! Mine is similarly waffle-y.

@acciocoffee @kristah2 you guys are making me crave a marg hardcore.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 2

    WAYDTGKU: DTD during FW

    R/R: nothing much today

C/S: is it important to BBT during AF? I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail.

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? Pizza. Cant believe no one's said pizza yet.

@flyingmombula - your temps can vary a lot during AF. People will temp all the way through for a complete chart, and to keep the habit up, but personally, I start after AF leaves. It still gives me more than enough data points to illustrate the lower temps of the follicular phase. :) the big thing is to make sure you have a few days of data before O, so you can see the temp shift after O.

  • @Stargazer1lily Our weather has been crazy too! It was below zero, and now it was over 40 today. I think it’s supposed to drop again and snow in a couple of days.

@krissy2241 Yum, I love Thai food!

@chopchop25 MH and I made it to the gym yesterday for the first time in a while. Those gym visits are definitely great!

@galactickates Sounds like you and YH are having fun designing aspects of this house! I’m jealous!

@dreamscapes_ So sorry your car was totaled! I was rear ended last year and it nearly totaled MH’s car, but it was under the cut off so insurance paid to repair it. No fun to deal with! It looks like my car just needed the jump start. It seems fine now!

@acciocoffee Luckily the roadside assistance guy arrived very quickly and got it jumped right away! Pretty stress free, overall. Also, now I want boneless buffalo wings.

@kristah2 Thanks! I think the IUI went well. Now we wait… Sorry you’re having neck/back problems. I’ve had some pretty severe neck issues in the last six months, and it hasn’t been fun. I would recommend seeing a physical therapist if you haven’t already. Also check out the “treat your own neck” and “treat your own back” books by Robin McKenzie. The method has been studied extensively and there’s tons of scientific evidence that it works. It’s actually what a lot of physical therapists use, but you can do it on your own for a lot cheaper!

@nmbrcrnchr1 Getting out of the office for lunch is always good! I eat at my desk too frequently.

@nitnat007 I’m so glad your cd 3 labs look good! How could you forget about sushi? It’s so tasty!

    @LJMoon6 Thank you!

@kiwi2628 I think I said this in the IF thread already, but I’m so darn happy about your scan today! What fabulous results. I’m so glad the new protocol changed things so dramatically for you!

@flyingmombula Looks like my car just needed a jump! Hope you can get your tire fixed/replaced soon! When I’m temping I temp all month to keep up the habit, but a lot of folks choose to take a break during AF and it doesn’t really affect their ability to identify their O date. Also, yes to tasty pizza! There is a wood-fired pizza place in my hometown that makes pizzas that are to die for.

  • @kristah2 I have pretty bad neck/shoulder pain too. I've had surgery on my shoulder to help, but honestly what has helped me the most is a workout called Bar Method. It is expensive, but they have dvds. My physical therapist recommended it and it has been seriously amazing. Good luck!

@dreamscapes_ I made an appointment, but when they called me back they required that I have a recommendation/referral from my OB first. So I see her in a couple weeks and then hopefully it won't be too long after that.

@flyingmombula I agree with @catlady2015. I do temp on AF to have a complete chart, but I wouldn't worry about missing it. You should have enough time before O to still see the shift in temps. Also, pizza is definitely a close second!

@krissy2241 I’ve never heard of that! I should look into it!!
@darkstar42 also never heard of those books.
Thanks for the suggestions! Time to start trying to handle this on my own too!!
  • @acciocoffee Boneless wings sound good!

@chopchop25 If you want, I can take a look through my notebooks and find the recipe I used and send it to you. It was pretty darn tasty. I also made French buttercream and at one point, there was a demo on German buttercream, which was just ridiculous in the quantity of butter.

@kristah2 He ended up making the appointment after confirming with the clinic as to what all it actually entails. If you don't mind my asking, what's your back issue? I've got one myself, so just curious.

@nmbrcrnchr1 We also had a 40-50 degree difference where we live! This winter has been bizarre so far.

@nitnat007 Yay for decent CD3 testing! I ended up just badgering MH until he called the clinic. Apparently he had some weird concept of what the test actually entailed. We also had to schedule it on a certain day because they only do it M-F, and we work funky hours.

@kiwi2628 I'm glad your scan went well! FX for a successful ER! We're seeing the RE early because of a long and semi-convoluted story. I don't mind explaining it. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18, but recently found out that the testing process is fairly involved. I remembered that the doctor who had diagnosed me didn't actually do any testing and just based it on my weight and my weird periods, even though I was a teenager and a lot of people have weird periods when they're a teenager. I'd never even had a pap at that point. So my current PCP sent me to an OB to get evaluated for it, including an ultrasound and blood testing over the summer. In the process of that (and determining that I don't have it, due to the diagnostic criteria), we found out that my AMH is very very low for my age, at 0.31. The nurse at the time told us that if we'd been trying already, they would have referred us to an RE, but to try for 6-12 months first. A couple of months later, in late October, I was referred back to the OB because a CT I'd had for chronic groin pain to try and rule out a hernia showed a 5cm "something" in my uterus. The first appointment was in mid-November, and then the OB I'd originally seen and had the appointment with was called to an emergency surgery on the morning of my appointment, so I rescheduled with another doctor in the practice the next day. That doctor told me that the "something" was in fact an ovarian cyst that they'd seen on the ultrasound back in July and didn't bother telling me about because "it wasn't big enough". I asked the OB about my AMH level and if it was even possible for me to get pregnant, given some of the things I'd read online. She flat out said no and I had a breakdown in her office. She asked how important having kids was to us (since my husband was with me) and we told her very. She admitted that we should have been referred back in July, given my AMH result, and gave us a referral to an RE then. They helped us hurry through a lot of the testing so that it would all be covered under my 2017 deductible, which had already been met. Just waiting for DH to do his SA so that we can get all the results. So... Yeah. long and convoluted.

@flyingmombula He did! He called and made the appointment, so he'll be doing it next Wednesday afternoon. As far as BBT, I don't know about others, but I don't do it during AF. I temp vaginally and would rather not deal with blood when I'm half asleep.

@darkstar42 They didn't explain why they totaled it, but we're honestly not surprised. And yeah, totally not fun to deal with. Glad your car is doing better now, though!

@krissy2241 That makes sense! I know the RE I'm seeing was able to fit us in pretty quickly, even with it being the end of the year, so hopefully you'll get in quickly!

  • @krissy2241 I swear we are living in the same place because that's exactly our weather here too! No snow and bad inversion. Isn't it terrible? I just want to see some snow!!!

  • @kiwi2628 In her defense, it wasn't the doctor who gave us so little info. It was her nurse. The doctor I saw for the follow up was just as upset about the lack of communication as we were. The RE said that he's hesitant to diagnose us as infertile just now, so we'll see what happens. I'm somewhat active on the low AMH thread, but that might change after the test results, since we'd have to sort out the plan going forward.

  • @flyingmombula Thanks. Last year was just a ridiculously stressful year, so that was just one in a long list of things that happened. As far as I know, the cyst hasn't ruptured, but we'll see what they say.

R/R: I feel like this cycle is taking forever...

C/S: Can I put a question here? Anyway, TW. Did any of you find that the amount of CM was much less after being pregnant/having a child. I swear I had way more CM before DS...

GTKY: If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? A giant tub of chocolate ice cream.
  • @dreamscapes_ It's something in my neck/shoulder blade that is making everything so tight that when I move my back or neck I feel like I'm being punched. He said once we get the muscles to relax I should be good again but mannnn it sucks right now.
  • @cdpepperschmidt Yeah, unfortunately, I've had bad luck with doctors my entire life. I finally have a good one, though. Also, I have no idea if a lower amount of CM after prior kids is a thing or not! And chocolate ice cream is always good :)

@kristah2 I hope it eases up soon! Being always in pain isn't fun!
