Re: UO 1/4

  • I'm glad I read this before lunchtime... I also hate feet and I didn't know not cutting your toenails was a thing?  gross.

  • @mileswithmyles runners’ feet can be the worst!  Luckily I’ve avoided most of the grossness. I had one nail fall off after a marathon. What’s your worst?

  • Knock wood, I think I am the only runner I know who hasn't lost a toenail!
  • @Poppy0419 I love the idea of new shoes when baby comes!  Don’t the docs say not to try to start back up at this point?  I’m on a running streak so I’m trying to see how long I can go. I just hit a year in December. There are some hardcore ladies in my fb steak group that run the day they deliver. Sounds crazy to me, but maybe if I feel great that day?
@ivyvines6 Did you keep running with your toes like that? And did you dance too?  Sounds horrible. I’m always amazed watching dancers. My niece is just starting pointework and it looks so painful!

  • @roomsu honestly, luck. I don't do anything to prep my feet or wear different sizes or anything.
  • @Poppy0419 I am with you.  I just can't even with my energy levels.  I want to get new shoes and pick a 10K for the early fall to shoot for.
  • @roomsu my doctor is okay with me doing what I’m comfortable with BUT my sickness was also not pregnancy related. I ran 6 miles the day I delivered DD. She does, however, make me keep an exercise and calorie log but I got below 100lbs when I was sick and they want to make sure my weight stays stable.

@mileswithmyles between the cold and my energy I’m just happy to be doing anything. Pure barre and yoga are my current go tos. I’ll run again if I feel up to it but I still have good and bad days. Today is a Zofran kinda day.

I always take a couple weeks off after a race, but there was no time for a break that close to a show unfortunately. (Different times in my life) I was dancing like that in high school, but I didn’t keep dancing as much after I graduated. I’m teaching now though, but I wouldn’t attempt pointe work at this point, aside from being pregnant, I’m a little weak in the proper muscles, and I’m too heavy.
