@livinthesunnylife chicken noodle soup sounds like the only thing I could stomach right now. Instead I already have a roast cooking . But really I'm eating bland food and as little as possible
Today? Mozzarella sticks (grocery store whim - should never have gone hungry/nauseous) and a lean cuisine pizza. These lean cuisine pizzas are life for me right now.
I just had a homemade turkey burger (turkey burger patty, swiss cheese, 100 cal bun, and an admittedly gross amount of mayo) and baked cheetos. Still not doing so great nutrient wise but at least I am able to stomach protein again as opposed to just bread and cheese.

Nausea + weird cravings have made my menu very narrow and specific! Saltines for breakfast, smoothie for lunch and thin toasted bread with a cream cheese spread PACKED with raw veggies for dinner. I CRAVE raw veggies all day (when I'm not feeling too pukey) - I suppose it could be worse! I do wish I could get some real protein (other than the smoothie) down.
Saw this while lurking the June board - looks like Consumer Reports recommends avoiding romaine lettuce right now due to recent E. coli outbreaks. This changes my dinner plans for tonight, so thought some of you may be interested too.
Pineapple and just had a bowl of chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Greasy food is not my friend right now, so sticking with bagels and cereal for breakfast. I have to cook chicken tonight, and the idea is making me gag.
I always love spinach ricotta roll ups or stuffed shells, but they are so time consuming! I found a penne version where you just mix it all together. So much easier and delicious! DS has eaten it three days in a row and I’m pretty sure he has no idea he is eating spinach. #winning
Pancakes! I’ve had them every morning for the past three days. I’m very sad to see that romaine should be avoided right now, I’ve been really feeling Caesar salads
all the clementines and grapefruit as citrus is like the nectar of the gods to me right now.
And then easily-digestible things. I don't know if this is real or all in my head, but lately a lot of food seems unappetizing to me. But I'm not nauseous. It's more just like a lot of food doesn't seem to be enjoyable to eat. I made dinner last night and then didn't touch it and ate cheerios. My husband was raving about what I cooked, too. weird.
@vinerie same. Carbs are starting to be appetizing again. Last night I had a bowl of cheese tortellini and then a giant piece of warm naan covered in honey butter.

My appetite is back! Still for only carbs and cheese, but whatev. I had American cheese melted on a bagel for lunch and I'm having a cheese quesadilla for dinner. Pretty happy with my life choices.

I'm with @vinerie all of the clementines and citrus! Mostly just plain ol strong opinions on what I want and when. HAD to have pasta for lunch - now it sounds terrible.
I’m having a carnation in bed in the morning. Bfast depends on how I feel... today I felt terrible and had no time (815 b-ball for my oldest). By the time I was home the nausea had passed and I was just hungry so I could eat eggs and 1/2 bagel. Some mornings when I just feel so so I have a bowl of special k, then a snack later.
Lunch and dinner are mostly normal but definitely craving raw veggies esp celery.
I usually like a bedtime snack but lately it’s bothering my stomach through the night so time to cut that.
Im also finding when I really pound the water in the afternoons it helps my ms.
Orange juice has been my best friend. I can’t remember who posted about drinking really cold orange juice when feeling naseous. Who ever it was, thank you, it has been a life saver. As far as food goes I think I want it and then I get it and I no longer want it. I envy you ladies who are able to actually eat decent food.
@ssthomps I'm envious of gals with veggie and meat cravings too. I know my body could really use both. Hopefully our diets can balance out more come 2nd trimester.
Btw I definitely will have to try the OJ for nausea
I was reading the Symptoms thread this morning and someone posted about Carnation Instant Breakfast, so naturally I’ve been singing the old commercial jingle from the 80s or 90s and it’s been added to my grocery list
I am hungry but nothing sounds good to me. I’m living off of yogurt and cereal. But now I want Mac and cheese.
